 Deputy National Security Advisor for International Economic Affairs Mike Froman and European Union Trade Commissioner Karel De Gucht will hold a press briefing in the Marshall Center Auditorium at the State Department at 3 p.m. following the Transatlantic Economic Council (TEC) meeting on November 29th.

Founded in 2007, the TEC brings together senior policy makers and regulators from both sides of the Atlantic to focus on deepening our transatlantic relationship to promote innovation, addressing non-tariff barriers to trade through increased regulatory cooperation, and jointly exploring global economic competitiveness issues.

This event is on-the-record, and open to all press.

Pre-set time for cameras: 2:20 p.m. at the 21st Street entrance.

Final access time for all press: 2:40 p.m. at the 21st Street entrance.

Media representatives may attend this briefing upon presentation of one of the following: (1) a U.S. Government-issued identification card (Department of State, White House, Congress, Department of Defense, or Foreign Press Center), (2) a media-issued photo identification card, or (3) a letter from their employer on letterhead verifying their employment as a journalist accompanied by an official photo identification (driver’s license or passport).
