Buerkle Honored for Protecting Small Businesses

Washington, DC – The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) recognized Representative Ann Marie Buerkle (NY-25) with its prestigious Guardian of Small Business award for her work on behalf of small businesses.

“It is an honor to receive NFIB’s Guardian of Small Business award. Small businesses are the backbone of our nation’s economy. We must implement policies that create economic certainty. We must get our government out of the way so that businesses can do what they do best: create jobs and grow our economy,” said Rep. Buerkle.

“In the 112th Congress, Representative Ann Marie Buerkle proved that she is a champion of small business. The Guardian of Small Business Award is a legislative award given to U.S. Representatives and Senators who vote to promote and protect the right of small-business owners to own, operate and grow their businesses,” said Dan Danner, NFIB President and CEO.

Buerkle received the award from Danner at an award ceremony in the U.S. Capitol.
