Welcome to the AICAP website!

The Avian Influenza Coordinated Agricultural Project (AICAP) is the first nationwide USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) funded network designed to study avian influenza. The avian influenza virus can have devastating impacts on commercial poultry and public health worldwide resulting in international trade restrictions. This multi-institutional collaboration was developed to provide education and outreach opportunities that would benefit the poultry industry and contribute to the prevention of pandemic influenza. The AICAP continues to research and design effective reagents, technologies and resources aimed at the detection and eradication of influenza from economically important poultry species in the U.S.

Portions of the website are reserved, via a secure login, for researchers working within the AICAP. The secure area provides a mechanism for researchers to share preliminary data, post comments to a message board, and hosts a repository of documents necessary to administer the project. If you desire access to the secure area and do not have a login, please register now.
