Hey Dr. Alan Guttmacher! What color is DNA?      Alan Guttmacher, M.D.: Developing new research tools to translate the findings of the Human Genome Project (HGP) into new diagnostic tests and therapies. DNA in its native state is essentially colorless. We often represent each of the four bases that make up DNA as having specific colors, but that is just to allow us to depict things in away that is easy to discern at a glance. Lighthouse Christian Academy in SC (12th grade student)
