What is the diffence between the DNA in a plant and the DNA of an animal?      Kris Wetterstrand, M.S.: Working with the Sequences, Maps and Bacterial Artificial Chromosome (BAC) Libraries Program and the ENCODE (ENCyclopedia Of DNA Elements) project. The main difference is in the amount and order of DNA. The basic units are the same (adenine, guanine, cytosine and thymine). The differences are in the genes that are encoded and how they are regulated. Kannapolis Middle School in NC (7th grade student)
