Download Information (help)

ANNOTATION: The trend that crimes committed by girls are increasing is investigated. Sections of this Bulletin are: trends in girls' violence; context of girls' violence -- violence against peers, violence against family, violence in schools, poverty and disorganized communities, and girls and gangs; and conclusions -- what we know (i.e., trends and context) and what we need to know. Although girls may be arrested for assaults more, the amount of violent crime has changed very little over the last 20 years.
