Outreach and Partnership Division
As part of the Agency's commitment to support the efforts of the operators of
small and very small plants to enhance their food safety systems, this division engages
in cross-cutting outreach activities, effectively leverages resources, and unifies Agency
strategies, methods, and delivery of outreach to small and very small plants.
It provides technical expertise, information, and advice to small and very small
plant owners and operators on the interpretation, application, implementation and
enforcement of regulations, policies and systems.
This division also promotes State participation in achieving national food safety, food security and
other consumer protection goals by planning, organizing, coordinating and supporting FSIS cooperative
activities with State agencies with primary responsibility for State meat, poultry and egg product
public health assurance inspection programs.
Center for Learning
The Center for Learning provides leadership in implementing training and development
policies by assessing, planning, developing, and conducting various technical
and non-technical programs, activities, and resources for the Agency’s workforce.
The Organization and Employee Development Branch, the Distance Learning Branch, and the
Training Operations Branch are all part of the Center for Learning.
