Fifth Annual High School Trivia Contest
The contest is open to teams of students grades 9-12 from the Kansas and Missouri area; private, parochial and home school groups may participate. Questions are grouped into five rounds of ten questions each: presidential candidates; vice-presidential candidates; primaries and conventions; campaign slogans and advertising; and potpourri. Workshop:
Examining Truman through Historic Sites
October 26 & 27, 2012 | Truman Library and Museum
This unique learning opportunity will give teachers a chance to visit three Truman sites in one workshop! Teachers will visit the Truman Library and Museum exhibits, tour the Truman Home and visit the Grandview Farm! This packed workshop will also give teachers plenty of activity ideas for bringing Truman to life in the classroom.
Expert presenters from the National Park Service, the Truman Library, University of Central Missouri will participate. Experienced teachers will demonstrate lessons using Truman related primary sources. 1 hour graduate credit through UMKC is available for this class.
