Version 1.1 of the Overseas Private Investment Corporation’s (OPIC) Open Government Plan further advances its good faith effort to make the agency more open, participatory, and collaborative. The updated plan addresses many of the weaknesses identified in the plan published on April 7, including greater details on is collaboration efforts, records management program, public feedback mechanisms, and compliance with federal transparency initiatives . The Revised plan is also notably improved by a commitment to include openness in the agency’s strategic planning processes.

OPIC’s plan would benefit significantly from more detailed discussions of planned internal reforms and processes. The plan also continues to lack an inventory of additional datasets scheduled for publication. Overall, OPIC’s plan has strong foundation, but still has room for improvements.
