Prohibition stands today as the only amendment ever repealed from the U.S. Constitution. Filmmakers Ken Burns and Lynn Novick explore the rise and fall of Prohibition in their PBS film series of the same name. It was the subject of a panel discussion moderated by Caroline Fredrickson, President of the American Constitution Society, featuring filmmaker Lynn Novick, historian Daniel Okrent, Judge Andre Davis, and George Washington Law Professor David Fontana. Law students and members of the legal community then attended a reception featuring remarks from Chris Bracey, Dean of Academic Affairs at George Washington University Law School, NEH Chairman Jim Leach, and Pat Butler, President and CEO of the Association Public Television Stations.
