Three Jerome Men Arrested for Conspiracy to Distribute Meth
BOISE – Lamberto Arroyo-Mora, 30, Jorge Cruz-Vizcarra, 37, and Jorge Cruz-Gonzalez, 18, all Mexican nationals living in Jerome, Idaho, were arrested Friday, January 13, on charges of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, U.S. Attorney Wendy J. Olson announced. A criminal complaint charging the three defendants was filed in United States District Court in Boise today.
The charges are the culmination of a three month investigation into drug trafficking in the Jerome area conducted by the Idaho State Police. During the investigation, officers purchased approximately one-half pound of methamphetamine. A search warrant was executed last Friday at a residence in Jerome where officers located approximately two pounds of methamphetamine, five firearms, and $2,900 in cash. Two vehicles were also seized.
The case is being investigated by the Idaho State Police, with assistance from the Jerome County Prosecutor’s Office, Jerome County Sheriff’s Office, and the Jerome Police Department.
A complaint is only an allegation of criminal conduct and is not evidence of guilt. A person is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
