Fort Hall Man Sentenced for Burglary
POCATELLO – Jasper Tendoy, 22, of Fort Hall, Idaho, was sentenced today in United States District Court to 14 months in prison for burglary, U.S. Attorney Wendy J. Olson announced. Chief U.S. District Judge B. Lynn Winmill also ordered Tendoy to serve three years of supervised released and pay restitution to the victim of $57. He pled guilty to the charge on May 24.
According to the plea agreement, Tendoy admitted that on November 2, 2011, he entered a residence on the Fort Hall Shoshone-Bannock Indian Reservation with the intention of robbing his victim. Tendoy demanded money and when the victim refused, Tendoy pulled what appeared to be an assault rifle – later found to be a BB gun – from under his coat and pointed it at the victim. The victim then gave the defendant $57.
The case was investigated by the Fort Hall Police Department.
