Editorial: Congressman will learn a lot from students

So, OK, he uses his meetings with area students to voice the conservative political orthodoxy that decisions being made today in Washington will bankrupt the upcoming generation's future. And, it's also important to note that some of the young people he's meeting and talking with today will be voters when he faces re-election in 2012. None of that, though, diminishes the fact that Woodall is, by all appearances, taking those young people and their views seriously.

A federal judge this week ruled the 2010 health care reform law is unconstitutional, and Rep. Rob Woodall agreed. “[Monday’s] decision by a federal court in Florida reaffirms that Obamacare violates the supreme law of the land,” Woodall, R-Lawrenceville, said in a prepared statement.

Woodall Speaks to Rotary Club
Members of the Lawrenceville Rotary Club gathered for a luncheon Monday afternoon to hear guest speaker U.S. Representative Rob Woodall. The freshman Congressman addressed a variety of issues from the move to repeal the health care bill to the debt ceiling. "I didn't think we were going to vote on health care. All the freshmen (congress members) campaigned on it. They all promised they would. I thought the Republican leadership was going to lose it's nerve and say this is a bad public relations item," Woodall told the group.
