Assisted Acquisition Services

The Federal Acquisition Service (FAS) Assisted Acquisition Services (AAS) Division of GSA’s Northeast and Caribbean Region provides acquisition support to assist federal agencies in fulfilling its mission. 

We are staffed by Program Officials, Contracting Officers, Project Managers, and other contracting and acquisition professionals who are ready to provide value-added customized acquisition support, project management and financial management services in the areas of Information Technology and Professional Services products and services:

  • IT Integrated Services
  • IT Program Development / Help Desk Support
  • IT System/ Software Development

  • Non-IT Professional Services (e.g. Engineering, Logistics, Program Management/Business Improvement, Human Resources Line of Business, etc.)

Through pre-competed Government-wide Acquisition Contracts (GWACs), GSA Schedules contracts, and other of GSA's Technology Contracts with industry partners, AAS delivers high quality and innovative IT and Professional Services solutions that help customers accomplish their critical mission objectives.   Additionally, AAS can also help agencies meet small, disadvantaged business goals by offering solutions such as the VETS GWAC, 8(a) set-asides, HUBZone and 8(a) STARS contracts.

Throughout the acquisition process, from pre- to post-award, AAS gives the customer expert support whenever or wherever they need it. In the pre-award/award stage, expert services that AAS can do include:

  • Develop and Sign the Interagency Agreement
  • Perform a Requirements Analysis and Market Research
  • Develop an Acquisition Strategy and plan
  • Help develop the Independent Government Estimate
  • Help develop the Statement of Work (SOW)/Performance Work Statement (PWS)
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable Federal Acquisition Regulations
  • Develop and issue the solicitation
  • Review and evaluate proposals
  • Perform legal review, if necessary
  • Award the task order/contract
  • Mange milestones, schedule and costs
  • Monitor the industry partner's performance
  • Perform problem resolution
  • Chair progress reviews
  • Provide project and financial management
  • Handle all acquisition issues
  • Accept and pay invoices
  • Handle contract close-out
