October is National Cyber Security Awareness Month. Secretary Napolitano is calling on all Americans to join DHS this month and throughout the year to ACT - “Achieve Cybersecurity Together.” Combating evolving cyber threats requires the engagement of our entire society - from government and law enforcement to the private sector and most importantly, members of the public.

Launched in February 2003, Ready is a national public service advertising campaign designed to educate and empower Americans to prepare for and respond to emergencies including natural disasters and potential terrorist attacks. The goal of the campaign is to get the public involved and ultimately to increase the level of basic preparedness across the nation.

To support the nationwide launch of the "If You See Something, Say Something™" public awareness campaign, Secretary Janet Napolitano released a new series of Public Service Announcements (PSAs) encouraging the public to contact local authorities if they see suspicious activity.
