Kara Rexwinkle Named AdoptUSKids' September Caseworker of the Month
Kara Rexwinkle, a reintegration supervisor for TFI Family Services, Inc. in Topeka, Kansas, is our September Caseworker of the Month. By applying skills of theater arts she learned in college to her career as a social worker, such as thinking on her feet and outside-the-box, Rexwinkle has helped families, children, and coworkers navigate different complexities of the adoption process.

New PSA for Foster Care and Adoption Featuring Disney's The Odd Life of Timothy Green
The national media outreach campaign for foster care and adoption done in partnership with the U.S. Children’s Bureau and Ad Council has a new public service ad (PSA) featuring Disney's movie The Odd Life of Timothy Green. The ad is a 30-second spot and available in both English and Spanish.

U.S. Children’s Bureau Releases New Report on Trends in Foster Care and Adoption
In July, the U.S. Children's Bureau posted new statistics on the numbers of children involved with the child welfare system. The new reports show a substantial decline in the number of children in foster care since 2002.
