ANNOTATION: "This study was conducted to determine the types, extent, and frequencies of adult probation recidivism in Maine adult probation recidivism in Maine before and during the implementation period” of a “series of evidence-based principles in community corrections with the goal of improving the effectiveness of offender management in the community” (p.1). Findings are tabulated for: characteristics of the sample; risk level by year entering probation; one-year recidivism rates by risk category and cohort; characteristics of one-year recidivists; recidivism within one year; and risk level and LSI (Level of Service Inventory) predictors.
