Welcome to the Cost Estimating community. This newly established career field encompasses all aspects of business cost estimating. As advisors to commanders, Program Executive Officers (PEOs), program managers, or other acquisition decision makers, individuals in this career field are responsible for business cost estimating of defense acquisition programs in direct support of the defense acquisition process.

[Response] Kelley, From what you described, you most likely do not have the proper DoD certificates loaded on your computer. They are not something that ships with a computer and you have to go in and load them manually to preclude that warning. If you go to https://acc.dau.mil/CommunityBrowser.aspx?id=199100&lang=en-US you will find instructions on how to resolve that issue (note that the page I provided will give you that same warning to click through, but once you have downloaded the proper certificates you will resolve it for any DoD site using secure sockets (https://) that you go to.
