ANNOTATION: An analysis is presented of the prison receptions for the Oklahoma Department of Corrections. Sections in addition to an abstract are: overview of receptions; annual percentage change during FY 2004-FY 2008 by five similar states (AR, CO, MO, TX, and OK); demographics; receptions by race, age, and controlling offense categories; offense types; receptions, releases, and returns; analysis; receptions vs. release; and receptions by return type. Receptions are higher in FY 2009 than in FY 2002 with the largest growth occurring in inmates 50+ and Hispanic/Latinos.
