Abstract:
Agiltron has developed and demonstrated fabrication capability for a new category of photomechanical IR imagers that convert infrared radiation into visible images using a conventional visible-light CMOS camera. This breakthrough photo-mechanical thermal image technology potentially offers next generation thermal camera performance attributes of: Large Pixel Array High Resolution Sensor; Low Cost and Low Power; Uncooled MWIR Imaging; Unprecedented High Uncooled Sensitivity, High Frame Rate, and Affordable High Speed Camera. Based on our extensive experience accumulated in the past 6 years, in this Phase II program, Agiltron proposes to advance this technology toward realizing these attributes. The program seeks to reduce the our sensor thermal time constant to well below 10 ms by shrink the pixel size and at the same time to increase the sensitivity by at least 3 fold to reach 20 mK, as well as to realize larger array size.
