ORNL researcher named associate editor
OAK RIDGE, Tenn., Aug. 11, 2003 Chun Hway-Hsueh, a research and development staff member with the Metals and Ceramics Division of the Department of Energy's Oak Ridge National Laboratory, has been named associate editor of The Journal of the American Ceramic Society.
Chun has worked at ORNL since 1986. Previously, he was a research engineer at the University of California.
He is an associate editor of the publication Composites Part B: Engineering. Chun has authored or co-authored more than 160 technical publications and he is listed as a highly cited researcher in the materials science category by the Institute for Scientific Information.
He earned a bachelor's degree in physics from the National Taiwan University, a master's degree in materials science and engineering from National Tsing-Hua University in Taiwan and a doctorate in materials science and engineering from the University of California.
Chun and his wife, Xiao-Juan Hsueh, have two children - Michael and Kenny.
The family resides in West Knoxville.
ORNL is a multiprogram science and technology laboratory managed by UT-Battelle for the Department of Energy.
