The program employs 3,200 Afghan teachers teaching 6,051 classes in all provinces, teaching to Functional Literacy Level 3 - The ability to identify, understand, interpret, create, communicate, compute and use printed and written materials associated and varying contexts. - Afghan pilots completed pilot training held in their home country.

NTM-A is celebrating the International Literacy Day.
Did you know that the highest Level 3 literacy success rate ever, was achieved in July 2012. In the past month 4,441 members of ANSF achieved Level 3 literacy compared to just 636 this time last year. Literacy training is 100% mandatory. Each unit of ANA sent 2 representantives , NCO and Soldier to undergo a series of tests, trials of physical training tests, pushups, sit...— in Kabul, Kabol.-ups, two kilometer race, 10 kilometer march with full equipment, weapons knowledge, map reading, first aid and literacy skills.
