Awards for Energy and Water Management
FEMP assists the Federal Government in recognizing individuals, groups, and agencies for outstanding contributions towards energy and water management at Federal facilities. Current award programs organized by FEMP include:

Federal Energy and Water Management: Honor individuals and organizations making significant contributions to the efficient use of energy and water resources within the Federal Government. Federal Energy Coordinators handle all nominations for the Federal Awards.

Better Buildings Federal Award: Annual competition that places the Federal Government's highest-performing buildings against one another in a race to reduce building energy intensity.

Department of Energy (DOE) Sustainability Awards: The DOE Sustainability Awards (formerly the DOE Management Awards) are sponsored by the DOE Sustainability Performance Office (SPO). SPO oversees departmental sustainability efforts required by Executive Order (E.O.) 13514, E.O. 13423, and other Federal laws and regulations. Presidential Energy Management: Per E.O. 13514, the White House Council on Environmental Quality is currently in charge of hosting the Presidential Energy Management Awards which are being combined with the Sustainability Awards. More information is available on the White House Web site. In addition, CEQ announced 2010 GreenGov Presidential Award winners.
