The Cubist Print

Overview: More than 142 etchings, lithographs, pochoirs, and illustrated books were on view, dating from 1908 through the mid-1930s. The works were created by 35 artists and came from 35 public and private collections in France, England, Canada, and the United States. The exhibition was assembled by Burr E. Wallen of the University of California, Santa Barbara. Coordinator at the National Gallery was Andrew Robison, curator of prints and drawings. The exhibition was supported in part by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts.
