The American Folk Art Tradition: Paintings from the Garbisch Collection

Overview: The 54 paintings on view had been donated to the National Gallery by Edgar William and Bernice Chrysler Garbisch over the preceding 25 years. Also shown were additional loans. The exhibition replaced the master drawings exhibition in the ground floor northwest gallery of the East Building.
