Includes two symposiums about wind energy.

This workshop will guide participants through the process of building a small wind turbine from scratch. Brief sessions each day on wind generator theory will be followed by shop sessions. The workshop group will construct one to three working wind generators. Approximately three-quarters of this workshop will be hands-on construction of wind turbines.

The ET Summit is the insiders' biennial conference on advanced technologies and implementation approaches for the $35+ billion ecosystem of energy efficiency, demand response, customer-facing smart grid, and related programs. Founded in 2004 and organized by the California energy utilities, California Energy Commission, and the California Public Utilities Commission, the ET Summit highlights recent developments and best practices to generate and validate new measures and practices for utility and government programs. The intended audience is leading technologists, entrepreneurs, researchers, utilities, regulators, and investors.

The National Wind Coordinating Collaborative's Wind Wildlife Research Meeting is the premier meeting on the latest wind and wildlife research in the United States. Attended by over 340 academics, researchers, federal and state officials, NGO representatives, and industry professionals in 2010, the Research Meeting provides an opportunity for all wind stakeholders to get together, learn about the latest applied technical research on wind and wildlife interactions, and discuss research priorities and other relevant topics.

For the 5th time since 2007, the German American Chamber of Commerce of the Midwest, Inc. is bringing a delegation of German wind energy companies to Chicago for the German American Wind Energy Business Conference.

This conference will provide attendees with the chance to learn about the wind technology innovations and supply chain and service practices that German manufacturers use to stay competitive. Current wind energy opportunities and programs in Illinois will also be addressed.

In 2012, Renewable Energy World North America and POWER-GEN International are co-locating. The event will feature insightful discussions and presentations during technical sessions related to technology, markets, business strategies and policy covering the wind, solar, biomass, hydro, geothermal, ocean/tidal/wave, bio-power, bio-fuels, hydrogen and energy sectors.

The Utah Office of Energy Development announces the 2013 Utah Governor's Energy Development Summit that will include topics for both Utah and the Intermountain West.

The northwest event brings agriculture and clean energy production together to advance opportunities for rural economic development.

The conference solicits original, unpublished research and practice papers; all articles will be peer-reviewed. The conference welcomes innovative and even controversial ideas. The poster session allows for preliminary, emerging and futuristic ideas to be shared with participants. All authors are encouraged to take a life-cycle systems approach and consider, where possible, such measures as EROEI (energy returned on energy invested) or EROI (energy return on investment) and others.
