This one hour Webinar provided a basic overview of radon as an environmental health threat (www.epa.gov/radon/healthrisks.html ) then gave a practical look at how Colorado Springs School District 11 applied the IAQ Tools For Schools' Six Key Drivers (www.epa.gov/iaq/schools/index.html) to radon testing and mitigation. The intended audience consists of state and local radon program directors, school facility and health staff, and private sector IAQ professionals.

"New Radon Outreach Tools for January 2010 and Beyond" - October 20, 2009
This Webinar featured speakers from national radon partners such as Kansas State University (KSU) and the American Association of Radon Scientists and Technologists (AARST). Attendees to the Webinar also learned about the new National Radon Action Month activity submittal process that will be hosted on www.RadonLeaders.org . EPA presenters discussed ongoing media and partnership campaigns including the Radon Radio, Eddie’s Story and Living Healthy and Green campaigns.

National Radon Action Month Webinar Series
Learn from state radon programs that employed successful media outreach strategies, collaborated with key partners, and conducted targeted outreach to increase the number of homes tested for radon in their states during National Radon Action Month.

Representatives of state radon programs in Missouri, Utah, Tennessee, and New York described the steps they took to implement successful, innovative approaches to radon outreach during the 2008 National Radon Action Month. The speakers also revealed their bold new goals for January 2009. In addition, EPA’s new radon media campaign, Living Healthy & Green (Green Sox), was previewed.
