6/21/2012 - U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. -- An Academy cadet died Tuesday while on summer leave in Las Vegas.

Cadet 2nd Class Yung C. Chin, a junior, was a member of the Class of 2014 and a biology major.

"Our Air Force Academy family suffered a tragic loss this week," said Academy Commandant of Cadets, Brig. Gen. Richard Clark. "We ask everyone to please keep Yung's family, friends and wingmen in your thoughts and prayers."

The cause of death is under investigation, and more information will be released as it becomes available.

We will always remember Andrew. He will never be forgotten. Dr.Tony Chin is an excelent Doctor and cares deeply for people. There is no doubt in my mind Andrew would of been the same kind of Doctor. Our prayers are with Dr. Chin Sue and Austin.RIP Andrew.The Dawson's

We are truly touched by and incredibly grateful for the torrent of kind words and support offered to us by the United States Air Force Academy family. C2C Yung Chern Andrew Chin was laid to rest at the USAFA Memorial Pavilion Columbarium on July 13th 2012. We will never forget.

It gives me hope that such fine young men as Cadet Chin choose to serve this great nation and the cause of freedom. His early passing is sad but pride in his accomplishments should never diminish. Rest in Peace Cadet Chin.

I prayed for C2C Chin and his family as soon as I heard the news. My family went through a similar loss recently so I can feel the pain along with the Chins all too well. There are no words there is little relief but faith will get you through this. I will continue to pray for all of you.
