FAMILY LIFE
STRONG FAMILIES. STRONG BONDS.
The Army understands the importance of family and in the 75th Ranger Regiment strong family support means a strong unit. Many rangers are husbands and fathers who place strong emphasis on their family life. The regiment enjoys ready access to a multitude of Department of Defense and Army programs that support, guide, and form strong bonds in ranger families.
While the pace of life in the regiment is generally faster than most conventional units, the 75th Ranger Regiment understands that balance and predictability are fundamentals for a quality home life. While no one can predict when rangers might be required to respond to the nation’s call, training events are normally planned a year ahead of time, and whenever possible, regular deployments are planned in advance. This allows the ranger to manage his personal time and provide his family with stability.
Ranger families have access to dedicated doctors for routine care, access to special ranger facilities, and enjoy a wide range of special regimental family activities and events.
Professional civilian Family Readiness Advisors work full-time at each regimental unit to ensure families have the skills and support they need to be prepared for the day their ranger is called on. Dedicated ranger chaplains are always on call to provide assistance, counseling and support. Ranger spouses are often surprised to find that the friendships they develop with other ranger spouses follow them throughout their ranger’s time in the Army, and ranger spouses find members of the 75th Ranger Regiment truly are an extended family.
