Retired fighter pilot to speak at JBSA-Randolph base theater

9/18/2012 - JBSA-Randolph Public Affairs -- Retired Lt. Col. Dick Rutan, who flew the famous non-refueled, around the world Voyager flight, will give a presentation about the flight at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, in the JBSA-Randolph base theater.

Rutan flew 325 combat missions in Vietnam, has been awarded the Silver Star, five Distinguished Flying Crosses, 16 Air Medals and the Purple Heart. The presentation also includes footage of the first civilian space flight.
