Irina Barakova

Financial Economist

Irina Barakova is a Financial Economist in the Credit Risk Analysis Division at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC).

Ms. Barakova’s research interests include banking and regulation, credit risk modeling, and empirical corporate finance.

Before joining the OCC in 2007, Ms. Barakova worked for the Federal Reserve Board for five years in the Bank Supervision and Economic Research units. She did her graduate studies in Finance at the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.

Her fields of interest include banking and regulation, credit risk modeling, and empirical corporate finance.
