Miami, Fla.- Congressman David Rivera (FL-25) called for the Castro regime to immediately release opposition leader Jorge Luis Garcia Perez, known as “Antúnez”. Antúnez was arrested and beaten over the weekend and has not been heard from since Saturday.

Congressman Rivera’s Opening Statement at Subcommittee on Immigration Policy and Enforcement Hearing on Bill to Adjust the Cuban Adjustment Act
Congressman David Rivera (FL-25) served as a witness today at a hearing of the Subcommittee on Immigration Policy and Enforcement of the House Judiciary Committee. The topic of the hearing was H.R. 2831, a bill introduced and sponsored by Congressman Rivera to amend the Cuban Adjustment Act, Public Law 89-732, to modify the requirement for a Cuban national to qualify for and maintain status as a permanent resident.
