Felipe Alexander TorrealbaOctober 10, 2012 - 15 Most Wanted Addition - The U.S. Marshals Service added a homicide suspect to the U.S. Marshals 15 Most Wanted fugitive list today.  Felipe Alexander Torrealba is wanted for multiple crimes in various jurisdictions in Texas and Florida, including: homicide, aggravated battery of a law enforcement officer, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, trafficking oxycodone, unlawful flight to avoid prosecution, aggravated assault with a firearm and resisting officers with violence.


October 09, 2012 - Joel Beal Smith, who was wanted on two counts of Sexual Battery on a Child by the Broward County, FL Sheriff’s Department was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service, Savannah Office of the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force and the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department.


October 05, 2012 - A Houston man wanted for Indecency with a child was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service-multi agency led Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Fugitive Task Force (GCVOFTF).  Gonzalo Molina was wanted by the District Court in Harris County, Texas, for the offense of Indecency with a Child by Sexual Contact.


October 05, 2012 - A Savannah man wanted for three charges of Sale of Cocaine was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service, Savannah Office of the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force.  Victor Holloway was wanted by the Savannah Chatham Metropolitan Police Department on three separate warrants for sale of crack cocaine, dating back to January, February, and April of 2102.


Edward Salas (Captured)October 04, 2012 - 15 Most Wanted Capture - U.S. Marshals Service 15 Most Wanted fugitive Edward Salas was arrested today in Chihuahua City, Chihuahua, Mexico, by the Policia Federal Ministerial in coordination with the U.S. Marshals Service.  A convicted child killer, Salas escaped from the Curry County Detention Center in Clovis, NM, in August 2008, and had been on the lam ever since. At the time of his escape, he was serving a life sentence plus 56 years for his role in the murder of 10-year-old Carlos Perez.


October 04, 2012 - The U.S. Marshals Service in New Mexico added Melanie Freeman to the United States Marshals Service “New Mexico’s Most Wanted Program.” Freeman is wanted for failure to appear on charges of criminal Sexual penetration of a minor under 13, and assault on a peace officer.


October 04, 2012 - Deputy U.S. Marshals arrested Michael Kirby Bileen in downtown Albuquerque, NM. Bileen was convicted in U.S. Federal Court for a murder committed in Arizona on September 24, 2001. Bileen was charged with 2nd degree Murder, Aggravated Battery, and Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Bileen was sentenced to 121 months and was released on Federal Probation in November of 2009. In 2010, 2011, and now 2012, Bileen was arrested for violating his probation by consuming alcohol and not attending his substance abuse class.


October 03, 2012 - A man wanted for Homicide was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service-multi agency led Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Fugitive Task Force (GCVOFTF) on October 2, 2012.  Cruz Casanova Barrera was indicted by the 221st District Court in Montgomery County, Texas, for the offense of Homicide.


October 02, 2012 - A North Carolina man wanted on Bank Robbery charges by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service, Savannah Office of the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, the Liberty County Sheriff’s Department, and the Hinesville Police Department.  Thomas A. Hammond was wanted for two alleged bank robberies that occurred in August and September of 2012.


October 02, 2012 - The United States Marshals Service, D.C. Superior Court Warrant Squad and D.C. Superior Court Special Response Team arrested bank robbery suspect, Delonte Rashaun Seburn, of Hyattsville, MD.


October 02, 2012 - On September 27th, the U.S. Marshals Violent Offender Task Force (VOTF) in Lafayette arrested Quincy Mouton. Mouton was wanted by the Rayne Police Department for 2nd Degree Murder.  Just 5 days later, the VOTF arrested Steve Faulk, who was wanted by the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office for Aggravated Rape and Aggravated Kidnapping.


October 02, 2012 - The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force (FRFTF) today announced the arrest of Franco Thomas, 14 years of age from St. Petersburg, FL for First Degree Murder.


October 01, 2012 - The Gulf Coast Violent Offender and Fugitive Task Force (GCVOFTF) arrested Rickie Henderson and Criselda Juarez today for Aggravated Robbery. The two were wanted in San Patricio County for allegedly robbing a local gaming establishment on August 20, 2012 in Gregory, TX.


October 01, 2012 - A Texas woman wanted for cocaine charges was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service-multi agency led Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Fugitive Task Force (GCVOFTF). Selene Ramos was wanted by the Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office in Plaquemine, Louisiana for the offense of Failure to Appear.


October 01, 2012 - On May 1, U.S. Marshals announced the arrest of one of Americas Most Wanted and elusive fugitives, known and charged in Ohio under the alias “Bobby Thompson.” Today, U.S. Marshals, with the assistance of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, positively identified “Bobby Thompson” as cold case fugitive John Donald Cody.


September 30, 2012 - On the afternoon of Sunday, Sept. 30, 1962, 127 Deputy U.S. Marshals, 316 federalized border patrol personnel and 97 deputized prison guards, on the orders of then - U.S. Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy, surrounded the administration building on the campus of the University of Mississippi.


September 28, 2012 - U.S. Marshals Bobby Mathieson and Gerald Holt announce the capture of Anthony Robert Taglianetti, II. Taglianetti is sought as a person of interest by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office in New York regarding the murder of Clymer Central School Superintendent  Keith Reed, Jr.


September 27, 2012 - Nakoula Basseley Nakoula was taken into custody today by the U.S. Marshals Service, in coordination with the U.S. Probation Office, for alleged violations of his supervised release conditions stemming from a prior federal bank fraud conviction.


September 27, 2012 - Members of the U.S. Marshals Western PA Fugitive Task Force apprehended Shahid Muslin at a Greyhound Bus Station, pursuant to an arrest warrant out of Mecklenburg County, NC. Muslin, a Charlotte, NC resident, was wanted for a First Degree Kidnapping. The victim reportedly was kidnapped and tortured before being able to escape and alert authorities.


September 27, 2012 - The U.S. Marshals Service-led Detroit Fugitive Apprehension Team (DFAT) conducted a three-day sex offender sweep in the City of Detroit. More than 80 officers worked the sweep that netted 70 Sex Offender Registry Felony arrests.


September 27, 2012 - Today, U.S. Marshal Robert W. Mathieson announces the results from Operation “September to Remember,” a joint operation targeting criminal activity in the Petersburg, Hopewell, and Colonial Heights communities.


September 26, 2012 - Don O’Keefe, the U.S. Marshal for the Northern District of California, is announcing the capture of William Buchholz, wanted in Napa County, California, for failure to register as a sex offender.


September 25, 2012 - One of Massachusetts' twelve most wanted parole fugitives was arrested this morning by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force in Littleton, NH. William Gervais aka ‘Billy the Kidd’, whose last known address was in Jamaica Plain, Mass. when he absconded from parole. Gervais is on parole as part of his court ordered sentence for an armed robbery.


September 24, 2012 - It is with pride that the U.S. Marshals Service, and Director Stacia A. Hylton, celebrate the 223rd birthday of the agency today.  On Sept. 24, 1789, the oldest federal law enforcement entity in the United States was created when the office of the U.S. Marshal was created along with the federal court system.


September 24, 2012 - NH Parole fugitive, Luis Figueroa was arrested this morning in Lawrence, MA by members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force. Figueroa was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant for parole violations, stemming from an original conviction for drug sales.


September 23, 2012 - The Texas Regional Advisory Board of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, sponsored their annual gala Saturday evening at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Austin, TX. Nicholas Rose, Deputy U.S. Marshal for the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force, San Antonio Division, was the recipient of the 2012 Texas Children’s Hero Award.


September 23, 2012 - Willie Lee “Chill” Smith - a Savannah man wanted on charges for Sale of Cocaine, Possession of Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon - was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service Savannah Office of the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, members of the SCMPD/ATF “SARGE” task force and SCMPD Patrol Units.


September 21, 2012 - The Gulf Coast Violent Offender and Fugitive Task Force (GCVOFTF) arrested Johnny Reyes for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Retaliation Against a Witness.


September 21, 2012 - The U.S. Marshals Service added new fugitives to the New Mexico's most wanted program.  United States Marshals for the District of New Mexico are seeking your assistance in locating Joe Louis Archuleta, Marco Ramirez, Alejandro Howard, and Jonathan Lopez.


September 19, 2012 - The U.S. Marshals Service will sell the remainder of the Rita Crundwell herd of quarter horses –more than 300 – via a live and Web simulcast auction in Dixon, Ill., Sunday and Monday, starting at 11 a.m. CDT each day.

“This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for horse lovers at every level to buy from a top breeding program. We expect to sell horses from $400 youngsters up to six-figure show and breeding horses,” said Mike Jennings of Professional Auction Services, Inc., the company hired by the U.S. Marshals to conduct the auction. The auction will be held at the RC Ranch in Dixon. No parking will be available at the ranch. Shuttle bus service will be provided beginning at 7 a.m. from five parking sites in Dixon. Red Brick Road will be closed, and no parking will be permitted on the shoulder of the main roads leading to the ranch. Weapons, large coolers, backpacks, alcohol and golf carts are prohibited. September 19, 2012 - Bedford NH Police Department fugitive, Dwayne Dollar, 27, was arrested this morning in Brooklyn, NY by members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force. Dollar is the final outstanding suspect in a large scale shoplifting ring that was operating though-out New England and possibly up and down the east coast.


September 18, 2012 - The remains of U.S. Marshals 15 Most Wanted fugitive Beacher Hackney have been discovered in Hot Springs, Va. Hackney was wanted for a double homicide and the subject of an unrelenting manhunt since March 21, 2009.


September 17, 2012 -  The U.S. Marshals Violent Offender Task Force arrested twenty-two year old Jacoldy Fox. Fox was Wanted by the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office for Armed Robbery, Aggravated Kidnapping, Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property, and Simple Battery.


September 17, 2012 - Anthony Donell Roberts was arrested last Friday by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in San Antonio without incident. An arrest warrant was sought by the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) Homicide Division, where it is alleged that Roberts committed first degree murder.



September 14, 2012 - U.S. Marshal Bobby Mathieson announces the capture of Tyrek Allen. Allen was wanted by Newport News Police Department and the City of Hampton on charges regarding two shootings which left one man dead and one injured.


September 14, 2012 - Operation Complete Clean Up, a four month long sex offender verification operation, concluded August 31, 2012 with outstanding participation and results. The operation was a New Mexico wide effort to verify that every sex offender located in the State, including Tribal and Pueblo lands, was in compliance with applicable federal and state law.


September 13, 2012 - The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force (FRFTF) today announced the arrest of Anthony M. Bell Jr., 19 years of age, from Riviera Beach, FL for First Degree Murder with a Firearm and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.


September 12, 2012 - 15 Most Wanted Addition - The U.S. Marshals Service added a convicted child predator to its 15 Most Wanted fugitive list today. Clyde Hall Jr., a career sex offender, who is wanted in the Northern District of New York for violation of federal supervised release, failed to report to a halfway house in New York after serving a 25-month prison sentence for violations of the Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act at the Butner Federal Correctional Institute in North Carolina.


September 12, 2012 - The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force arrested Christopher Alfred this afternoon. Alfred was Wanted by the Lafayette Police Department for Felony Carnal Knowledge of a Juvenile. U.S. Marshals arrested Alfred pursuant to a traffic stop in Lafayette, LA.


September 11, 2012 - At 11:00 am on Thursday, Sept. 20, media outlets and personnel are invited to a celebration of the history of the U.S. Marshals Service and how it has impacted our community in a positive way. Operation Intercept, the U.S. Marshal led fugitive task force for South Carolina, will be highlighted, as well as some of its fugitive and sex offender arrests.


September 10, 2012 - Carroll County Probation & Parole fugitive, Dwayne Blanchette in Parsonsfield, Maine. The NH Department of Corrections - Probation & Parole Division requested the assistance of the U.S. Marshals - NH Joint Fugitive Task Force in locating and arresting Blanchette. Blanchette was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant for Probation Violations stemming from original convictions and sentences for Burglary, Witness Tampering, Falsifying Physical Evidence and Animal Cruelty.


September 07, 2012 - Under Operation Pickup, the U.S. Marshals Service in Alaska assisted the Bethel Police Department in locating fugitive Denise Jeanine Festervand (AKA: Denise Ebertz) who had allegedly abducted her daughter and son in August 2004 and traveled out of Alaska.


September 07, 2012 - U.S. Marshals Hawaii Fugitive Task Force Officers, Hawaii State Sheriffs, Maui Police Officers, Hawaii County Police Officers, and Kauai County Police Officers conducted a joint fugitive warrant sweep on the island of Maui. During the 3-day mission, sixty-six wanted fugitives were arrested clearing a hundred-four outstanding warrants.


September 07, 2012 - A major fugitive wanted in Puerto Rico for his alleged participation in a 1998 murder of a man in Ponce, PR was captured in Huntingdon Valley, PA, by the U.S. Marshals Service.  Carlos Rodriguez-Alcala was being sought on a State warrant issued in the District of Puerto Rico.


September 07, 2012 - The U.S. Marshals New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force arrested a Father and Son, both for bail jumping. Edward Janak, formerly of Laconia, NH has been on the run since he left the state to avoid facing his jail sentence for original charges stemming from an assault in 2007. Brandon Janak recently fled the area after failing to appear for his jail sentence after his conviction for possession of narcotics.


September 06, 2012 - The U.S. Marshals Service is selling the first 93 of the Rita Crundwell herd of quarter horses via an online auction starting noon Friday. The auction, at www.professionalauction.com, closes on Tuesday for 46 of the horses and Wednesday for 47 of the horses. A live auction to sell the remainder of Crundwell’s horses, more than 300, will take place in Dixon, Ill., Sept. 23 and 24.


September 05, 2012 - U.S. Marshal Martin J. Pane announced today the arrest of Donald Steven Guthrie – a 38-year old man from Jersey Shore, Pennsylvania – and the recovery of a missing 14-year old female.


September 04, 2012 - The U.S. Marshals Service is selling a luxury motor home, one of Rita Crundwell’s assets, via an online auction starting Tuesday. The auction for the 2008 Liberty Coach Motor Home will run through noon Sept. 25.


September 04, 2012 - A major fugitive wanted on federal charges for his alleged participation in a major drug organization has been arrested by the U.S. Marshals Violent Offenders Fugitive Task Force in Guayama, Puerto Rico. Javier Morales Andreu, also known as “Gadget”, was being sought on a federal warrant issued in the District of Puerto Rico.


September 04, 2012 - The United States Marshal Service in New Mexico arrested Janis Deanna Casaus. Casaus was a Federal fugitive wanted after a federal grand jury indicted her on charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm.


September 04, 2012 - The Lafayette Police Department and The U.S. Marshals Violent Offender Task Force are seeking assistance and information from the public as to Carl J. Phillips’s location. Phillips is wanted for 2nd Degree Murder that took place on July 28, 2012.


September 04, 2012 - On Friday, August 31, 2012, the U.S. Marshals Southern Iowa Fugitive Task Force requested the public’s assistance in the search for convicted sex offender Courtney Cortez Chestnut of Des Moines. Chestnut was wanted by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office for failure to register as a sex offender (2nd offense) and escape.


September 04, 2012 - A federal fugitive was extradited from Spain on Friday after being seven years evading justice. Angelo Guevara-Ramon has been a fugitive from justice since 2005, when a federal grand jury returned an indictment for alleged cocaine and heroin importation to the U.S. from St. Marteen, Netherlands Antilles and St. Thomas, United States Virgin Islands.


August 31, 2012 - Over the course of 3 days, the U.S. Marshals Hawaii Fugitive Task Force conducted a collaborative arrest warrant sweep. Deputy U.S. Marshals, Hawaii County Police Officers, and Hawaii State Sheriffs conducted a joint fugitive round-up blanketing the island of Hawaii. Sixty-seven wanted fugitives were arrested with 91 federal and state warrants cleared.


August 30, 2012 - The U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) Akron Division arrested Leo Moore III. Moore was wanted by the Akron Police Department on the charges of; weapons under disability, carrying a concealed weapon and willful fleeing. Moore was also wanted by the Summit County Sheriff’s Department on drug charges.


August 30, 2012 - A Mississippi man wanted on failure to appear charges for Aggravated Assault with a knife was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service Savannah Office of the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force. Domieko Deonta Eubanks is wanted by the Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s Department in Starkville, MS.


August 30, 2012 - The U.S. Marshals recently conducted a preview of six aircraft in Aguadilla that will be sold at public auction Sept. 5 in Midland, Texas. The aircraft were part of a seizure conducted in December 2011 shortly after a search warrant was executed by the Drug Enforcement Administration in relation to the investigation of Santo Seda-Rodriguez.


August 29, 2012 - Jose Armando Vega, of El Paso, Texas was arrested by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force. Vega, wanted for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, was located and taken into custody without incident in El Paso, Texas.


August 27, 2012 - The U.S. Marshals Service will be auctioning 15 vehicles which were seized due to illegal activities. The auction will begin promptly at 10:00 am Friday, August 31st, 2012 in Albuquerque. The total value of the vehicles to be sold is $81,140.25. August 27, 2012 - The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested a Pennsylvania man wanted for a parole violation on a 6 year prison sentence he served for aggravated assault with a handgun. Devaughn Anthony Coad was captured by task force officers from the Marshals, Escambia County Sheriff’s Office and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.


August 25, 2012 - Deputy U.S. Marshals from the Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force yesterday arrested international fugitive Robert Joseph Manship at the Los Angeles International Airport after his return from the Philippines.  Manship, a retired U.S. Air Force Sergeant, is wanted in New Hampshire for aggravated felonious sexual assault of a child.


August 24, 2012 - Eddie Garza Jr., was arrested yesterday by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in San Antonio without incident. An arrest warrant was issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety - Texas Board of Pardon and Parole, where it is alleged that Garza violated the conditions of his parole. Earlier this month, Garza was a featured fugitive during “Operation Heatwave.”


August 24, 2012 - Latray Whitley was arrested yesterday evening by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in San Antonio without incident. An arrest warrant was issued by the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) Homicide Division, where it is alleged that Whitley committed first degree murder.


August 20, 2012 - Robert Almonte, the U.S. Marshal for the Western District of Texas, will deputize the two children who have been selected as honorary coaches for this year’s Guns ‘N’ Hoses baseball tournament hosted by Candlelighters of El Paso. The U.S. Marshals Service is among the agencies participating in the annual tournament to raise money for the organization.


August 17, 2012 - The Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST) announced today that after an intense investigation, Timothy Slusher was arrested this morning in Dayton, Ohio. On August 16, 2012, the Dayton SOFAST team was notified by Detectives from the Dayton Police Department that a warrant had been issued for the arrest of Timothy Slusher for the knifepoint rape of a child under the age of 13.


August 15, 2012 - The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force hit the streets of Pensacola early today and arrested three Pensacola men wanted on numerous charges that include aggravated assault with a weapon, armed robbery, using a firearm and including a non-registered sex offender.


August 15, 2012 - The U.S. Marshals Service is conducting a live and Web simulcast auction to sell 255 lots of fine jewelry, watches and gold coins in San Antonio Saturday. The auction starts at 10 a.m. CDT at the Adrian Spears Judicial Training Center, and the Web simulcast is at www.txauction.com. A public preview is scheduled for Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.


August 15, 2012 - U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott announces that the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) has arrested fugitive Nathan Summerfield this morning in Wadsworth, OH. Summerfield, who was an Ashland, OH resident, is wanted for the murder of Lynn Jackenheimer, which took place on July 3rd in Dare County (Outer Banks), North Carolina.


August 14, 2012 - The U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force, with the assistance of the Trumbull County Sheriff’s Office, arrested Marco Correa in Newton Falls, OH. Correa was wanted by the Cleveland Division of Police for four counts of felonious assault. It is alleged that Correa was one of five people that were involved in an unprovoked assault at Charlie’s Place on Lorain Ave. in Cleveland that left two people unconscious, permanently blinded a waitress, and broke the jaw of an off-duty Cleveland police officer that stepped in to help the victims.


August 10, 2012 - The U.S. Marshals Service, in collaboration with the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation COPS grant funded Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the Georgia Department of Corrections, Jesup Probation Office, and the Georgia State Parole conducted compliance checks of all registered sex offenders in Wayne County. Over thirty Local, State and Federal Law Enforcement Officers were involved.


August 10, 2012 - The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force concluded a week long operation resulting in the arrest of 186 federal and state felony offenders. “Operation Heatwave”, a fugitive round-up, comprised of city, county, state, and federal law enforcement officers, targeted approximately 350 fugitives with outstanding felony warrants. As of 8:00 a.m. this morning, the 186 arrests lead to the clearance of over 200 warrants. “Operation Heatwave”, a collaboration of over 90 law enforcement officers from 16 various agencies.


August 10, 2012 - Lamonte Hill was located and taken into custody by Operation Intercept (OPIN), the U.S. Marshals fugitive apprehension task force, on Friday morning at a friend’s home on Hidden Pines Road in Columbia. Hill is wanted in connection with the stabbing and shooting death of Brian Bloomfield on June 11.


August 09, 2012 - The U.S. Marshals Hawaii Fugitive Task Force located and apprehended escapee James K. Gahler, Jr. without incident in Waikiki by Deputy U.S. Marshals and Hawaii State Sheriffs. Gahler was being held at Mahoney Hale Residential Re-Entry Center when he willfully failed to return to the institutional facility within the time prescribed by the facility.


August 09, 2012 - Samuel Hurd III was arrested this afternoon by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force at a local YMCA in San Antonio without incident. An arrest warrant was issued by the United States District Court in Dallas, where it is alleged that Hurd violated the conditions of his bond previously set by the Court.


August 08, 2012 - Matthew Mallory, a convicted sex offender, entered a plea of guilty earlier this week to 4 counts of child abuse by intentional infliction of mental injury, before an Oklahoma District Court Judge in Kingfisher County. In April 2011, authorities in Oklahoma issued an arrest warrant for Mallory who was captured by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in San Antonio.


August 08, 2012 - Deputies and Task Force Officers from the Southwest Fugitive Investigative Team (SWIFT) Task Force, in Farmington NM, arrested Michael Padilla. Padilla was featured on the Marshals Service District of New Mexico’s “New Mexico’s Most Wanted Program”. Padilla has an extensive criminal history and was wanted on charges of distribution of Methamphetamine.


August 06, 2012 - The U.S. Marshals and the Walker Police Department announce the arrest of an Allegan man who is wanted for Murder and Felony Embezzlement in Bay St. Louis, MS. Glen Joseph Davis is a suspect in the killing of an 83 year old man in the small town of Bay St. Louis, MS.


August 03, 2012 - The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force and the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office TAC Team captured an Alabama fugitive who failed to appear on charges of 2nd Degree Rape and Possession of Pornographic Material of a Minor. U.S. Marshals were conducting surveillance of a residence where Dion Demetrius Taylor was reportedly hiding out in Pensacola.


August 03, 2012 - United States Marshal Martin J. Pane announced that the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) arrested a man accused of a daring daylight robbery in June at the Resorts World Casino in South Ozone Park, Queens, New York. Kevin Lides was being sought after fingerprints on a note handed to a teller matched his own.


August 02, 2012 - Efrain Vengas of El Paso, Texas was arrested by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF). Venegas was featured on the El Paso County Sheriff’s Department’s Manhunt Monday program on July 30, 2012. Venegas had 6 outstanding warrants for his arrest the most serious being Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.


August 01, 2012 - Late yesterday evening, United States Marshals South West Investigative Fugitive Team (SWIFT) task force arrested Erick Garcia in Bloomfield, NM. Garcia was indicted by the United States District Court and had warrants for being a Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Trafficking Methamphetamine.


August 01, 2012 - Mark Anthony Carslon was wanted on two felony warrants for failing to comply with the terms of probation for two underlying armed robbery cases. Carlson was arrested on July 26, 2012 in Grand Prairie Texas by the Grand Prairie Texas Police Department (GPPD) on his two felony warrants from the state of New Mexico as well as for two new charges in Texas.


August 01, 2012 - U.S. Marshal Patrick Sedoti announced today that the Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST) has joined the search for Shawn Dwayne Wood. Wood is wanted in Montgomery County, Ohio, for sex offender registration violations. Wood is a convicted sex offender with prior arrests for kidnapping, weapons offenses, assaults, trafficking in drugs, sex offender registration violations and rape.


July 31, 2012 - The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force announces the arrest of Michael Allan McCants, a Pensacola man who is a suspect in a drive-by shooting that took place in Pensacola several months ago.


July 26, 2012 - U.S. Marshal Martin J. Pane announced the successful conclusion of Operation Safety Net III – an initiative designed to verify the addresses of more than 1,300 convicted sex offenders residing in the Middle District of Pennsylvania. This operation is the direct result of The Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act of 2006, signed into law July 27, 2006.


July 25, 2012 - Anselmo Rodriguez is the target of a fugitive investigation by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force after he fled while on bond, awaiting sentence by a Bexar County Judge. Rodriguez was found guilty on allegations involving continuous sexual abuse of a child and sentenced in absència to a term of life in prison.


July 24, 2012 - Members of the U.S. Marshal’s Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) arrested Trinidad Diaz Mermella in central Odessa. Mermella was listed on the Texas Department of Public Safety’s website as one of the “Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitives", and currently wanted for a parole violation.


July 24, 2012 - The U.S. Marshals Service has awarded a contract to Professional Auction Services, Inc., of Round Hill, Va., for the U.S. District Court-ordered dispersal of horses and related equipment belonging to former city of Dixon, Ill., comptroller Rita A. Crundwell.  The agreement will offer buyers the opportunity to bid at a live auction at the Crundwell Red Brick Road farm, along with the opportunity to place bids on the contractor’s website.


July 18, 2012 - The U.S. Marshal Service in New Mexico added Jose Alfredo Corral and Mark Anthony Carlson to the New Mexico’s Most Wanted list. Corral and Carlson were placed on the Gang Offender section of the list.


July 13, 2012 - 15 Most Wanted Capture - U.S. Marshals 15 Most Wanted fugitive Vincent Legrend Walters has been captured in Cancun, Mexico, after nearly 24 years on the run. Walters is wanted in San Diego for the kidnapping and murder of Kristine Reyes, who was killed in September 1988.


July 13, 2012 - The U.S. Marshals Service is selling the first of Rita Crundwell’s assets, a luxury motor home, via a sealed bid sale. Crundwell has been federally charged with wire fraud in U.S. District Court in Northern Illinois. The 2009 Liberty Coach Motor Home has a minimum bid of $1 million. Bids will be accepted until 2 p.m. CDT August 1. Public viewings will be available by appointment only on July 23 and July 27 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. CDT.


July 12, 2012 - Marshall Aponte was arrested early this morning at a gas station in San Antonio, without incident. Aponte was sought by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force after an arrest warrant was issued by the San Antonio Police Department, Robbery Task Force Unit. Aponte is suspected to be linked to 5 recent gas station robberies.


July 10, 2012 - The U.S. Marshals along with the Wisconsin Department of Corrections Sex Offender Registry Program, the Marathon County Sheriff’s Department, and the Wausau Police Department conducted a residence verification operation for registered sex offenders. On June 26th and June 27th teams checked the addresses of 188 registered sex offenders in Marathon County. At least 6 were found to be non-compliant.


July 09, 2012 - On July 8, 2012, U.S. Marshals were notified by U.S. Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) that accused child sex offender, Sergio Luevano self-surrendered to U.S. authorities at the Paso Del Norte Port of Entry. U.S. Marshals placed Luevano on their New Mexico’s Most Wanted list in February of 2012.


July 07, 2012 - Members of the U.S. Marshals Violent Offender Task Force (VOTF) with assistance from Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office, Louisiana State Police, and Church Point Police arrested murder suspect Steven Guillory.  Less than 24 hours later, Willie Dean and Xavier Freeman were arrested by the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office and VOTF. Both suspects are Wanted by the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office in North Carolina for 1st Degree Murder and Armed Robbery Charges.


July 07, 2012 - Edmond Muhlenberg was arrested this week at the George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston, without incident. Muhlenberg was the target of a fugitive investigation by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force after he fled while under investigation by the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office. Muhlenberg was indicted on allegations involving super aggravated sexual assault of a child.


July 05, 2012 - The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force discovered a small cache of guns, a bulletproof vest and rounds and rounds of ammunition earlier this afternoon, when they captured a fugitive wanted since November of last year. Aggravated assault suspect Jeremy Jerel Fountain was arrested without incident inside a home on Escalona Avenue in Pensacola.


July 03, 2012 - An Alachua County, Florida woman wanted on charges of Battery and Aggravated Battery, was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service Savannah Office of the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force on July 2, 2012. Ebony Kelley was wanted by the Alachua County Sheriff’s Department in Gainesville, Florida on charges of Battery and Aggravated Battery from a 2011 incident.


July 03, 2012 - Eric Sumner, wanted by ATF in Macon, Georgia on a charge of Possession of a Weapon by a Convicted Felon, was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service Savannah Office of the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, the Hazelhurst Police Department and the Georgia Board of Pardons and Parole on July 2, 2012.


July 03, 2012 - A Warner Robins, Georgia man wanted on three charges of Armed Robbery was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service Savannah Office of the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force and the Effingham County Sheriff’s Department on July 2, 2012. James Ray Ussery was wanted by the Warner Robins, Georgia Police Department and the Peach County, Georgia Sheriff’s Department on three charges of Armed Robbery.


July 03, 2012 - In four separate cases, fugitives from the Hinesville/ Liberty County area have been arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service Savannah Office of the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, the Jacksonville Office of the Florida Regional Task Force and the New York /New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force in the last 45 days. When our state and local law enforcement partners need help in locating and arresting fugitives, the Marshals Service Fugitive Task Forces are there to help.


June 29, 2012 - The Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST) and Acting U.S. Marshal Patrick Sedoti for the Southern District of Ohio announced today that Robert Philbeck was arrested this morning in a wooded area near Smithville Road and Burkhardt Road in Dayton Ohio. Philbeck was convicted of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor and 4 times has been convicted of sex offender registration violations.


June 28, 2012 - The Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST) and Acting U.S. Marshal Patrick Sedoti for the Southern District of Ohio announced today that Richard A. “Chicago” Western was arrested this morning on N. Union Road in Englewood, Ohio.


June 28, 2012 - Laurel Mills, Chief Inspector with the Investigative Operations Division, received the 2012 Women in Federal Law Enforcement Leadership Award on Wednesday. Chief Mills was honored for her role in forging a partnership between the U.S. Marshals Service and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). She was the first Deputy U.S. Marshal assigned as liaison to NCMEC.


June 27, 2012 - The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force arrested Juan Pedro Solis at the Paso Del Norte Port of Entry. Task force members had been communicating with him while he was in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico, and were able to convince him to surrender. Solis was wanted for indecency with a child, possession of cocaine and driving while intoxicated.


June 26, 2012 - The U.S. Marshals Service is conducting a live and Web simulcast auction to sell nearly 400 lots of fine jewelry, watches, gold, diamonds and even some Megalodon fossil shark teeth Saturday. June 26, 2012 - The Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST) and Acting U.S. Marshal Patrick Sedoti announced today that Jeffrey Spicer was arrested this morning in New Weston, OH. Spicer was wanted for 2 Counts of Aggravated Felonious Sexual Assault of a minor and 2 additional counts of Attempted Aggravated Sexual Assault of a minor between the ages of 13 and 16.

June 25, 2012 - U.S. Marshals Adam Walsh Task Force Officers, Hawaii Fugitive Task Force Officers, and the State Sheriffs teamed up with the City and County of Honolulu Department of the Prosecuting Attorney Investigators and conducted Operation Hukilau Elua. The five day Operation was an investigative and arrest effort designed to assist the City and County of Honolulu Prosecutors Office in executing sex offender and domestic violence warrants.


June 23, 2012 - On June 15, 2012, Murder warrants were issued out of the state of Illinois for Carlton Neely and James Edward Johnson. Neely and Johnson went on a shooting spree shooting 4 victims, murdering 1. Fifteen minutes after shooting those victims, Neely and Johnson drive to another town and shot another victim in the back.


June 22, 2012 -  Today April Cardoza of El Paso, Texas was arrested by the United States Marshals Service. Cardoza has been a fugitive since March, 2011, when a federal arrest warrant was issued for Racketeering Activities, which included multiple instances of violent crimes.


June 21, 2012 - Deputy U.S. Marshals arrested homicide suspect Richard Winters in northeast Albuquerque. Winters was found in the residence of family members. Winters was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Metropolitan Detention Center in Albuquerque and is awaiting extradition to San Juan County.


June 21, 2012 - The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force captured a Tennessee fugitive this afternoon who is wanted on four counts of Aggravated Sexual Battery. Shannon Lee Russell of Forest Park Drive, Pensacola, is wanted by law enforcement in McMinn County, TN for allegedly sexually assaulting a young girl over a five year period.


June 19, 2012 - U.S. Marshal Martin J. Pane announced today that the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) arrested Rashaun Bush in Harrisburg. Bush was being sought by the York City Police Department for the murder of Kanyleron McDavid.


June 19, 2012 - The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested a convicted sex offender who tried to elude them by jumping out of a 3rd story window. At 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, the Task Force knocked on the door of a room at a hotel located on the 8200 Block of N. Davis Highway attempting to arrest James Erik Cross.


June 18, 2012 - On June 6, 2012, U.S. Marshals placed Roger H. Chavez on their state of New Mexico’s Most Wanted list. Chavez is on parole for his 1997 conviction of 2nd Degree Murder. In 2006, Chavez was released from prison and placed on parole. Chavez has been arrested for violating his parole on previous incidents in 2007 and 2009. The South West Investigative Fugitive Team (SWIFT) task force, arrested Chavez on Monday in Edgewood, NM.


June 15, 2012 - Deputies assigned to the U.S. Marshals Service North Texas Fugitive Task Force in Dallas arrested John Willie Jones. Jones was wanted for his involvement in the fatal shooting in Downtown Albuquerque on 06-07-2012. It was believed that Jones was the man who actually shot the victim.


June 15, 2012 - On May 31, 2012 a State of New Mexico arrest warrant was issued for four subjects, Gabriel Alcon, Richard Winters, Vincent Montoya, Sarah Martinez. All subjects were wanted for Tampering/Destroying Evidence related to a Homicide and all were wanted for questioning in the Homicide of victim Anthony Jacquez in San Juan County, NM.


June 13, 2012 - U.S. Marshal Martin J. Pane announced today that the U.S. Marshals Service arrested Namer Yousef Al Daoud in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania with the assistance of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO). Al Daoud was being sought for a murder that occurred on June 2, 1992 in the Kingdom of Jordan.


June 11, 2012 - The week of June 4th, 2012 the U.S. Marshals Service, in collaboration with the Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office, the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation COPS grant funded Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the Georgia Department of Corrections, Statesboro Probation Office, Georgia State Parole and the F.B.I. conducted compliance checks of registered sex offenders in Bulloch County. A total of 28 Local, State and Federal Law Enforcement Officers were involved.


June 8, 2012 - U.S. Marshal Albert Najera, of the Eastern District of California, announced today that the U.S. Marshals Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force (PSWRFTF) arrested 56 year old Paul Joseph Borreson.  This subject was added to the Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitives on May 9, 2012.    Borrenson was wanted by the Texas Department of Public Safety for a Parole Violation with an original offense of Forgery.  He also had outstanding warrants in four other states to include South Dakota, Minnesota, Indiana, and Texas.  Borrenson has been identified as a member of the Aryan Brotherhood of Texas and was considered to be armed and dangerous.     


June 07, 2012 - Fifty years after their escape from U.S. Penitentiary Alcatraz on June 11, 1962, the U.S. Marshals Service remains diligent in the manhunt for Frank Morris and brothers Clarence and John Anglin. They are the only men to escape from Alcatraz Island in San Francisco who remain unaccounted for.


June 07, 2012 - Anthony Scott Ebersole was arrested by the U.S. Marshals at a camp ground in Crescent City, Florida late yesterday afternoon. Ebersole has been on the run from the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department since March 1, when he failed to register as a sex offender as required.


June 06, 2012 - The U.S. Marshals along with the Wisconsin Department of Corrections (D.O.C.) Sex Offender Registry Program, the Ashland and Iron County Sheriff’s Departments conducted a residence verification operation for registered sex offenders.


June 05, 2012 - U.S. Marshal Bobby Mathieson announces the arrest of Carter Tillery in Houston, Texas. Tillery was serving a 30 year federal sentence for armed robbery with a projected release date of September 30, 2036, when he was mistakenly released from state custody on May 17, 2012.


June 05, 2012 - The U.S. Marshals Service in El Paso, TX arrested Juan Cruz on an outstanding warrant for a Failure to Appear on Criminal Sexual Contact of a Minor. In 2010, Cruz was arrested for sexually assaulting a child. Task Force investigators also arrested Frank Montano. Montano was listed on the New Mexico Department of Corrections Top Ten Most Wanted. Montano was wanted on a probation violation.


June 04, 2012 - The U.S. Marshals along with the Wisconsin Department of Corrections Sex Offender Registry Program, the St. Croix County Sheriff’s Department conducted a residence verification operation for registered sex offenders.


June 01, 2012 - The U.S. Marshal Service in New Mexico is proud to announce its’ new involvement with the Wounded Warrior program. The Warriors to Work program helps Wounded Warriors transition back into the civilian workforce by providing career counseling services and job placement assistance.


June 01, 2012 - Members of the U.S. Marshals Service South West Investigative Fugitive Task Force (SWIFT) in conjunction with representatives Truth or Consequences Police Department, Sierra County Sheriff’s Department and New Mexico State Probation Department conducted a fugitive Operation in Sierra County, New Mexico. The objective of “Operation Summer Heat” was to locate and arrest individuals who had Felony Warrants for their arrest and who reside in Sierra County.


May 31, 2012 - The U.S. Marshals Service in Albuquerque, New Mexico auctioned off 20 government surplus and seized vehicles. The vehicles were seized by local and federal agencies and the proceeds will help support law enforcement activities in the Albuquerque area. 98 private citizens registered for the auction and a total of $110,450 dollars was raised.


May 31, 2012 - During the evening hours of May 29, 2012 Deputies and Investigators with the United States Marshals Service Southwest Investigative Fugitive Team (SWIFT) Task Force arrested Joe Vallejos and Jeremiah Mason. Vallejos and Mason were wanted for their alleged involvement in a Murder that happened on April 3, 2012 in Ignacio, Colorado.

May 25, 2012 On May 24, 2012 the United States Marshal Service in New Mexico arrested Steven M. Leewright of Farmington on the 2400 block of Lakeview Dr. in SW Albuquerque. Leewright was wanted by the San Juan County Sherriff’s Office for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender.


May 24, 2012 - U.S. Marshal Martin J. Pane announced today that the U.S. Marshals Service arrested Carlos Baez-Quinonez in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. Baez-Quinonez was being sought by the Puerto Rico Department of Public Safety on charges of criminal homicide and related firearms offenses.


May 23, 2012 - On May 22-23, 2012, the U.S. Marshals Service, Eastern District of Virginia, Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force, Northampton County Sheriff’s Office and the Accomack County Sheriff’s Office executed a multi-jurisdictional fugitive apprehension operation, dubbed Operation Spring Sting, on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.


May 23, 2012 - Patrick Sedoti, U.S. Marshal for the Southern District of Ohio, announced today that Kevin Collins has been arrested. Kevin Collins was arrested by the Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST) in Columbus, OH. Collins was wanted by the Dayton Police Department for Gross Sexual Imposition of a Child Under 13 Years of Age and 6 counts of Sexual Battery.


May 23, 2012 - Deputies with the U.S. Marshal Service and Task Force Officers with the Santa Fe Police Department arrested Joel Rollins in Espanola, NM. Rollins was wanted by the Sandoval County Sheriff’s Department for allegedly Murdering Elvis Delaney III in October 2007 and then burying Delaney’s body on his property in Sandoval County.


May 22, 2012 - Deputies and Investigators with the U.S. Marshals Service Southwest Investigative Fugitive Team (SWIFT) Task Force arrested Murder Suspect Evander Tsosie. Tsosie was wanted for the stabbing death of Nathan Lee on March 29, 2012.


May 21, 2012Luis A. Munoz, originally of El Paso, Texas was arrested today after 22 years as a fugitive. Munoz was originally arrested in 1989 by DEA for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute cocaine out of the Northern District of Illinois – Chicago Division.


May 17, 2012 - The U.S. Marshals Service, in collaboration with the Glynn County Sheriff’s Office, the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation COPS grant funded Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the Georgia Department of Corrections, Brunswick Probation Office, and the S.E. Probation TAC team conducted a two day compliance check of all registered sex offenders in Glynn County.


May 14, 2012 - Beginning on Monday, May 7, 2012, the Oakland Police Department and the United States Marshals Service, together with several federal and state law enforcement partners, conducted a three-day warrant service operation. The goal of the operation was to clear as many outstanding and high-priority warrants being held by the Oakland Police Department.


May 07, 2012 - The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force caught up with a wanted Pensacola man while he was sleeping in a hotel room one county away from where he was being sought. Escambia County fugitive Dexter Antonio Locke awoke to Task Force Officers standing over him at the Red Roof Inn in Santa Rosa County.


May 07, 2012 - Rakeem Engram, a Savannah man wanted on four charges of Aggravated Assault, was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service Savannah Office of the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force and the Savannah Chatham Metropolitan Police Department (SCMPD).


May 02, 2012 -  The U.S. Marshal Service in New Jersey arrested a man accused in Albuquerque, NM of attempted murder. Frederico Enrique-Perez was one of the U.S. Marshals Service District of “New Mexico’s Most Wanted”. Enrique-Perez was wanted by the Albuquerque Police Department for attempted murder after stabbing a man several times with a knife.


May 01, 2012 - The U.S. Marshals Service captured one of America's Most Wanted and elusive fugitives who is accused of stealing millions of dollars that had been donated for the sole purpose of aiding U.S. veterans. “Bobby Thompson”, which was an alias, was on the run for over the last two years where he assumed numerous fictitious names and was known to alter his appearance.


April 30, 2012 - The U.S. Marshals and the Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force announces a new way to help catch murderers, kidnappers, armed robbers, gang members and other violent criminals – you can now text your tips. Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of a known fugitive can simply text “TIP411” or “847411” and enter the key word “USMFL”.


April 27, 2012 - The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force concluded a week long operation that resulted in the arrests of 181 federal and state felony fugitives. Operation Sandstorm II targeted approximately 300 individuals with outstanding felony warrants. As of 8:00 AM this morning the arrests of the 181 subjects resulted in the clearance of 335 warrants. Operation Sandstorm was comprised of over 80 law enforcement officers from 11 different agencies.


April 27, 2012 - U.S. Marshal Task Force Officers located and arrested Jim Alan Balicanta in Wailuku, HI. Balicanta was wanted for a warrant issued on April 20, 2012 by Judge Rhonda Loo for 27 counts of Sexual Assault in the first degree and 25 counts of Sexual Assault in the third degree.


April 27, 2012 - The U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) Akron Division hit the streets hard yesterday arresting two violent fugitives.  The Springfield Township Police Department requested the assistance of the NOVFTF to locate and apprehend Larry W. Johnson. Johnson was wanted for rape, gross sexual imposition and importuning out of Springfield Township, OH. The NOVFTF also apprehended Steven Young, a known gang member who was being sought for aggravated burglary and aggravated robbery.


April 26, 2012 - Deputies with the U.S. Marshal Service in South Carolina arrested Fletcher Schaffer in Lincolnville South Carolina. Schaffer was listed on both the Santa Fe Police Department Most Wanted and the Marshals Service District of New Mexico Most Wanted list and had been a fugitive from justice since March of 2011.


April 26, 2012 - The Reno U.S. Marshals Service led Fugitive Task Force, in partnership with the Department of Veterans Police, announces the arrest of Landan R. McMain. McMain is wanted by the Colorado Springs Police Department on an outstanding arrest warrant for multiple charges including kidnapping and sexual assault.


April 23, 2012 - From April 16-20, Phoenix valley law enforcement partners collaborated on “Operation Justice IV”, a one week round-up of wanted felons in honor of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week. Operation Justice netted valley law enforcement partners 251 fugitives wanted throughout Maricopa and Pinal Counties. In addition to arresting these fugitives, 16 weapons were taken off the streets.


April 19, 2012 -  A nationwide manhunt for accused sex offender James Julius Beaudrie ended this morning with the fugitive’s arrest in Chicago, IL.  The Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force, a team of law enforcement officers led by U.S. Marshals in Chicago, attempted to locate Beaudrie around 7 a.m. this morning at an apartment complex in Chicago.  The location was developed during the course of the U.S. Marshals’ investigation in Des Moines as a possible address for Beaudrie’s mother.


April 18, 2012 - The U.S. Marshals Service announces the arrest of robbery suspect Julian Broussard.  The Vacaville Police Department issued a warrant for Broussard on (1) count of Armed Robbery and (1) Count of Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Vacaville Police coordinated with the U.S. Marshals Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force (PSWRFTF) to help locate Broussard.


April 18, 2012 - The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested a Ohio man wanted for murdering another man in an alleged drug deal gone bad. The Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force (FRFTF) was contacted by the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force yesterday requesting the help of the local Marshals in locating and arresting Javonte Hodges.


April 17, 2012 - The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force (FRFTF) announced the arrest of Tedrick Miguel Childs of Havanna, Florida during a felony vehicle stop on Hwy 20 in Tallahassee, FL. Childs, who is a documented Folk Nation Gang Member, was currently being sought by the Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office in Columbus, GA as well as the Columbus Police Department on charges of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Cruelty to Children, Criminal Damage to Property, Burglary, Terroristic Threats and Acts and Arson.


April 17, 2012  – U.S. Marshals have joined the Des Moines Police Department in the search for accused sex offender James Julius Beaudrie. Beaudrie is charged with 8 counts of third-degree sexual abuse. The allegations against Beaudrie include the sexual victimization of a child under the age of 16.  U.S. Marshals are offering up to a $3500 reward for information leading to James Julius Beaudrie’s arrest.


April 16, 2012 - On April 9, 2012, Tommy Alvarado was arrested in El Paso, Texas. March 2, 2012, United States Marshals Service, District of New Mexico, placed fugitive Tommy Alvarado on the New Mexico’s Most Wanted.  Alvarado is a self-proclaimed member of the Barrio Azteca street gang and EPT prison gang.   On April 9, 2012, Alvarado was the passenger in a vehicle that fled from the El Paso County Constable Precinct 6.  When the Constable got the vehicle stopped Alvarado was taken into custody and found in possession of a firearm and methamphetamine.  The Barrio Azteca Gang is the largest and most active prison gang in the El Paso area and was founded in the mid 1980's. 


April 13, 2012 - The U.S. Marshals along with the Wisconsin Department of Corrections Sex Offender Registry Program and Columbia County Sheriff’s Department conducted a residence verification operation for registered sex offenders. On April 9th to April 12th deputies checked the addresses of 70 registered sex offenders in Columbia County.


April 13, 2012 - The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force (FRFTF) announced the arrest of Ronell Octavius Gillins of Miramar, Florida at an apartment complex located in Tallahassee, FL. Gillins was currently being sought by the Broward County Sheriff’s Office in Miramar, FL on charges of Attempted 1s Degree Murder.


April 10, 2012 - The U.S. Marshal Conrad E. Candelaria and Chief Deputy U.S. Marshal Michael Ferstl from the District of New Mexico hosted a meeting with the Regional Attaché for the Attorney General of Mexico. The meeting was an opportunity for the two agencies to confirm their commitments to pursue fugitives that flee the countries with the hopes of evading apprehension.


April 04, 2012 - U.S. Marshal Albert Najera of the Eastern District of California announced today that the U.S. Marshals Service arrested Angelo Estrada in Stockton, California. Estrada was wanted for assault with a deadly weapon in Stockton.


April 04, 2012 - The U.S. Marshals Violent Offender Task Force (VOTF) from Lafayette with critical assistance from the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office and Louisiana State Police arrested Vincente Mendoza. Mendoza was Wanted by the Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office in South Carolina. Mendoza allegedly killed Hope Bowers and Latonia Profit on or about March 17, 2012.


April 04, 2012 - Members of the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) arrested William Brown at a residence in Youngstown, Ohio. Brown was wanted by the Norwalk Police Department for felonious assault on a probation officer, wanted by the Richland County Sheriff’s Office on a bench warrant for violating the terms of his bond on a current felony eluding case, and wanted by the state of Louisiana for violating his parole.


April 04, 2012 - A Pensacola man who never returned from a break during the jury deliberations of which he was on trial for murder, was apprehended by the combined effort of U.S. Marshals from Mobile, AL and Pensacola, FL. Task Force members from the Gulf Coast and Florida Regional Fugitive Task Forces arrested Ortavious Devon Wilson at the Loxley Motel last night.


March 28, 2012 - A fugitive wanted by law enforcement in Mississippi was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force in Pensacola while seated in a barber’s chair getting a haircut. The Task Force started working this case over a week ago when they received information from Oxford City Police Department in Mississippi that Richard OKelley was believed to be in the Pensacola area.


March 28, 2012 - A man who escaped from authorities in Louisiana yesterday morning was caught by the U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force in Pensacola and Escambia Patrol deputies in the parking lot of Casino Beach around 11 o’clock last night. Shawn Jolivette had walked away from a jail road crew work detail at about 10:00 a.m. Tuesday.


March 26, 2012 - For the last 13 days Operation Intercept (OPIN), the U.S. Marshals fugitive task force, has proven the cooperation with state and local agencies can bring wanted men to justice. Starting with the most recent arrest of Laquiz Irby on March 21, OPIN has assisted the Anderson Police Department since December 16, 2011 in tracking Irby to Atlanta, GA and back to the upstate area where he was ultimately apprehended.


March 22, 2012 - The U.S. Marshals Service in New Mexico added Jose Martinez to their Most Wanted list. Martinez is wanted for charges involving first degree kidnapping and aggravated battery against a household member with a deadly weapon.


March 21, 2012  The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested a Pensacola man wanted in Escambia County for three sexual assault charges on a person under 18 years old. Anthony Cherry was captured this morning around 11:00 a.m. while he tried to hide in a bedroom of a house.


March 20, 2012 - The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested a Maryland man wanted for armed bank robbery and a number of other violent felonies. Brian Danielle Taylor was captured this afternoon by the Task Force with the assistance of Escambia County Sheriff’s Deputies and special agents from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.


March 19, 2012 - The U.S. Marshal Service in New Mexico arrested Oscar Oropeza on an outstanding warrant charging him with Criminal Sexual Penetration of a Minor Under 13 in the first degree and Criminal Sexual Contact of a Minor in the third degree.


March 19, 2012 - On Saturday, the York Police Department in South Carolina arrested Antwain Price for failing to register as a sex offender. Price was wanted by the Summit County Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. Marshals Service. Price was convicted of criminal sexual conduct with a child under the age of 12 in July of 2010.


March 14, 2012 - Phillip Houston McBride was arrested by the U.S. Marshals fugitive task force, Operation Intercept. McBride escaped from the Marion Adjustment Center located in Marion County Kentucky on Friday March 9. McBride was being held at the Marion Adjustment Center for Manufacturing Methamphetamine charges and other criminal misconduct cases.


March 13, 2012 - David Robert Wampler was arrested by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in downtown Austin.  Wampler was indicted in January of this year by a Livingston County Grand Jury in Geneseo, New York with a twenty-one (21) county indictment alleging criminal acts involving rape, injury to a child, and providing dangerous drugs to children.


March 13, 2012 - U.S. Marshal Don O’Keefe is proud to announce the arrest of Jarek Brown, wanted for multiple armed robberies, armed carjackings, and assault with a deadly weapon on a law enforcement officer.


March 08, 2012 - A Savannah man wanted for Aggravated Child Molestation and 2 counts of False Statements and Writings was arrested by the United States Marshals Service Joint East Texas Fugitive Task Force in Sulphur Springs, Texas. Dionte Thomas was wanted by the Chatham County Sheriff’s Department after Thomas failed to appear in court in Savannah, Georgia.


March 07, 2012 - The United States Marshals Service began transferring all federal prisoners out of the Sandoval County Detention Center in New Mexico. Currently one hundred and ninety prisoners are being transferred to other detention facilities throughout the state.


March 06, 2012 - A Federal prison escapee on the run since May of 1999, was arrested by members of the Miami Office of the U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force based on an investigation conducted by the Savannah Office of the U.S. Marshals Service Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force. Humberto Messa-Perez was wanted by the U.S. Marshals Service for the Southern District of Georgia for Escape from the Custody of the Attorney General.


March 04, 2012 - U.S. Marshal Albert Najera of the Eastern District of California announced today that the Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Joe Anthony Aguilar Rodriguez in Fresno, California. Rodriguez was wanted for a Homicide that occurred in 2011.


March 02, 2012 - The U.S. Marshals Service and the Las Cruces Police Department (LCPD) arrested Javier Mendez. Mendez was listed on the United States Marshals Service “New Mexico’s Most Wanted” program under the sexual offender category. Mendez has been wanted since May of 2011 and is charged with 3 counts of Criminal Sexual Penetration of a Minor and Intimidation of a Witness.

March 01, 2012 - On February 29, 2012, Deputies with the U.S. Marshals Service arrested accused human trafficking offender Rufus Byers. Byers has been wanted since December 2011 and was featured on last Friday's America's Most Wanted.


February 27, 2012 - The U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) led Fugitive Task Force in partnership with the Sparks Police Department (SPD), Washoe County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO), and Nevada Department of Public Safety Parole & Probation (P&P) announces the arrest of Felix Alexander Otero.  Otero was arrested this morning in Sparks, Nevada.  The USMS is grateful to the Sparks Police Department for their commitment to the Task Force as well as the extensive patrol resources dedicated to this operation.


February 24, 2012 - The U.S. Marshal for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, Kevin A. Carr, announced the conclusion of Operation Spring Thaw. The operation began on February 1, 2012 and ended today. During the operation, members of the Fugitive Task Force (Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Department, Wisconsin Department of Corrections, Milwaukee Police Department, Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office, Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department and US Marshals) arrested 38 individuals on outstanding felony warrants.


February 23, 2012 - The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force arrested Jacory Noel Brown in Citrus Heights, CA. Brown was wanted for Parole Violation and Assault with a Deadly Weapon.


February 22, 2012 - U.S. Marshal Albert Najera of the Eastern District of California announced today that the U.S. Marshals Service arrested 19 year old John Williams in Patterson, California. Williams was wanted for Armed Robbery and Assault with a Deadly Weapon with gang enhancements.


February 21, 2012 - The United States Marshal Service in New Mexico assisted the Las Cruces Police Department in reuniting a 1 year old child with her family in the United States. The young girl's mother, Nicole Jauregui and her boyfriend, Jose Mendez, are being charged with child abuse after the one year old tested positive for drugs.


February 17, 2012 - U.S. Marshals Service personnel in Los Angeles arrested Teddy Spaugy upon his arrival from Panama City, Panama following his ordered expulsion. Spaugy was being sought by the Arizona Department of Public Safety-Capitol Police District and the U.S. Marshals led Arizona WANTED Violent Offender Task Force pursuant to an active warrant on 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor and dangerous crimes against children.


February 17, 2012 - The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force (FRFTF) today announced the arrest Nima Nash Moradi of Orlando, Florida at an apartment complex located in Tallahassee, FL. Moradi was currently being sought by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, Orlando, FL on charges of 2nd Degree Homicide.


February 17, 2012 - Members of the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force, the Richland County Sheriff’s Office, and the Mansfield Police Department arrested William Johnson at a Mansfield area motel. Johnson was wanted by the Richland County Sheriff’s Office on a February 16, 2012 bench warrant for bond revocation after he violated the no contact order with his victim.


February 16, 2012 - The Louisiana State Police and the U.S. Marshals Violent Offender Task Force (VOTF) are seeking information from the public as to Ronald Ross’ location. Ross is the third defendant in an Aggravated Rape case and he has not yet been located (the other two have been arrested and are currently being prosecuted). Ross should be considered Armed and Dangerous.


February 16, 2012 - U.S. Marshal George White, Southern District of Mississippi, announces the arrest of Randall Thomas Beaty who is wanted by the Hendersonville, TN, Police Department for 1st Degree Murder and Aggravated Child Abuse (Age 8 and Under).


February 15, 2012 - The U.S. Marshal Service, Albuquerque Police Department, and the New Mexico State Police arrested brothers Zephaniah Martinez, James Martinez, and their grandmother Sally Gaut after a 2 hour Standoff in Peralta, NM. Z. Martinez and James Martinez were allegedly involved in a shooting at a Walmart in Albuquerque earlier this month. Gaut is charged with conspiracy in the same crime.


February 14, 2012 - Deputy U.S. Marshals and Task Force Officers assigned to the U.S. Marshals led Arizona WANTED Violent Offender Task Force arrested Robert Franz at a truck stop near 339th Ave and Van Buren Rd in Buckeye. Franz was wanted by the Pampa, TX Police Department for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child.


February 14, 2012 - The U.S. Marshals Service in Farmington arrested Julian Marty Perea in Dulce, NM. Perea was wanted by the State of Arizona on a Grand Jury indictment charging Perea with several counts including intentionally or knowingly engaged in sexual intercourse or oral sexual contact with a victim under the age of 15 years.


February 14, 2012 - The U.S. Marshals Service in Albuquerque, New Mexico auctioned off over 20 government surplus and seized vehicles. The vehicles were seized by local and federal agencies and the proceeds will help support law enforcement activities in the Albuquerque area. Over 150 private citizens registered for the auction and a total of $145,000 dollars was raised.


February 13, 2012 - Deputy U.S. Marshals in New Mexico located and arrested Stanley James Pacheco, Sr. on an Indian Reservation located in Santa Clara, New Mexico. Last October, the Maui native was charged via Indictment with eleven felonies to include six counts of Sexual Assault in the Third Degree, three counts of Sexual Assault in the First Degree and two counts of Attempted Sexual Assault in the First Degree.


February 12, 2012 - The U.S. Marshals Service will be auctioning 23 vehicles which were seized due to illegal activities. February 10, 2012 - United States Marshal Martin J. Pane announced today that the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) arrested Omar Payano in the Bronx, New York. Payano was being sought by the Scranton Police Department for an attempted homicide which occurred on February 5, 2012 at the Valley View apartments in Scranton.


February 09, 2012 - The United States Marshal Service in Santa Fe along with the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office and the Santa Fe Police Department SWAT team arrested Jairo Adair Contreras. Contreras escaped Arizona State Custody and fled to New Mexico where he was attempting to avoid apprehension.


February 09, 2012 - Patrick Sedoti, Acting U.S. Marshal for the Southern District of Ohio, announced today that Devon Armond Gayles has been arrested. On February 8, 2012, Devon Gayles was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST) in conjunction with Detectives from the Asheville North Carolina Police Department in Forest Park, OH.


February 08, 2012 - Members of the U.S. Marshals Task Force in the Eastern District of Louisiana arrested John C. Wright Jr. at a residence in New Orleans, Louisiana. Wright was wanted by the Ashland County Sheriff’s Office on an August 23, 2011 arrest warrant for failing to verify current address (as a registered sex offender).


February 07, 2012 - U.S. Marshal Don O’Keefe is proud to announce the arrest of Ronald A. Brewington, wanted for homicide. Brewington was indicted nearly 25 years ago in New Mexico for the murder of his wife.


February 07, 2012 - On Monday February 06, 2012 the United States Marshal Service in Las Cruces arrested Amador Venegas-Diaz. Diaz is charged with Criminal Sexual Penetration, Aggravated Assault with intent to commit a violent felony, Armed Robbery, Kidnapping, and Bribery of a witness.


February 07, 2012 - Jennifer Segrest, on the run for the past two years, was arrested by members of the Savannah Office of the United States Marshals Service Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, the Port Wentworth Police Department and the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office. Segrest was wanted by the Cobb County Police Department for the offenses of child molestation and enticement of a child.


February 03, 2012 - Information developed in collaboration between the U.S. Marshals’ Regional Fugitive Task Force along with members of the DEA, Virginia State Police’s Eastern Shore Drug Task Force and the Virginia Beach Police Department, led to the safe capture of fugitive Johnathan Manwell Johnson. The fugitive was located and arrested following an approximate 30 minute standoff with the posse of Marshals.


February 03, 2012 - Members of the U.S. Marshals Service Adam Walsh Task Force arrested wanted sex offender fugitive Clark Boisvert near the shops at Waialua Sugar Mill. Then in the late evening of February 02, 2012, task force members arrested a second wanted sex offender fugitive, Jordan Monteiro, on Wahane Street in Kapolei. Both fugitives had fled from authorities in Virginia and were hiding out on Oahu, HI.


February 01, 2012 - Operation SAFE GATEWAY was a joint agency focus to validate the addresses provided by registered sex offenders. SAFE GATEWAY allowed law enforcement to validate information provided by sex offenders during the registration and periodic re-registration requirements under Arkansas State Law.


February 01, 2012 - U.S. Marshals in Akron, OH arrested "Dangerous Dozen" shooting suspect, Tramell Wilson, who was wanted on multiple counts of felonious assault, aggravated burglary, disorderly conduct and three contempt warrants.


February 01, 2012 - The U.S. Marshals announce the arrest of Tabias Lorland McFadden in Grovetown, GA. McFadden has been eluding police since August 20, 2011 when warrants were issued by Florence County Sheriff’s Department after he was allegedly involved in a shooting incident to include charges of two counts Attempted Murder, one count of Firing a Firearm into an Occupied Dwelling, one count of Discharging firearm into vehicle, and one count of Armed Robbery.


January 31, 2012 - U.S. Marshal Don O’Keefe and Oakland Police Chief Howard Jordan are proud to announce the arrest of Remon McDaniels, wanted for homicide in Oakland, CA. The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, which includes members from the U.S. Marshals, CDC Fugitive Apprehension Team, Oakland Police Department, and San Francisco Police Department, apprehended McDaniels in Pittsburg, CA.


January 31, 2012 - U.S. Marshal Martin J. Pane announced today that the United States Marshals Service (USMS) arrested Gregory Colt in Fairview Township, York County. Colt was sought for failing to register as a previously convicted sex offender and faces possible prosecution for violating the Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act of 2006.


January 31, 2012 - United States Marshal Martin J. Pane announced that yesterday the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) arrested murder suspect Richard Larry Nolden Jr., a 21-year old man originally from York, PA.


January 31, 2012 -  The United States Marshals Service, and other law enforcement agencies, are seeking the public’s help in identifying and capturing a fugitive accused of stealing millions of dollars that had been donated for the sole purpose of aiding U.S. veterans. This unidentified subject has been charged with Unlawful Flight to Avoid Prosecution, Identity Theft, Fraud, and Money Laundering.


January 30, 2012 - A Savannah man on the run since 2009 was arrested by members of the Savannah Office of the U.S. Marshals Service Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force and Jacksonville Office of the Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force on January 25, 2012. Gerard Wayne Poulin, was wanted by the U.S. Marshals Service for violations of his Supervised Release in a warrant dated August of 2009.


January 27, 2012 - Members of the U.S. Marshal’s Maine Violent Offender Task Force apprehended Arien L’Italien in Portland, Maine. This individual was wanted on a felony arrest warrant from Biddeford Police on a charge of Aggravated Assault.


January 27, 2012 - The U.S. Marshals Service is pleased to announce that William Langley was arrested this morning in Izard County, Arkansas. Langley was arrested after attempting to climb out of a basement window in an effort to evade arrest. Langley was Wanted by the Crowley Police Department for Aggravated Rape and the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender.


January 26, 2012 - Operation Intercept (OPIN) the U.S. Marshals fugitive task force announce the arrest of Darius Montrez Ings in a Marshalls Department store located in Deerfield Beach, FL. Ings is wanted in connection with a homicide warrant from Hartsville Police Department, stemming from a shooting incident on July 21, 2011.


January 24, 2012 - The U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) Akron Division and the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force (GCRFTF) arrested Lashaun Reed. Reed was wanted by the Wooster, Ohio Police Department on charges of murder.


January 24, 2012 - On January 23, 2012, United States Marshals arrested Penelope Wronski for failing to appear in court on charges of Abuse and Neglect Resulting in Death. The charge stems from a June 2010 incident where Wronski failed to care for her elderly mother resulting in her mother’s death.


January 20, 2012 - On January 19, 2012, United States Marshals arrested Moses Sparks on charges of Kidnapping, Criminal Sexual Penetration, and Aggravated Battery on a Household Member. On September 4, 2011, Sparks allegedly raped and severely beat a woman in a northwest Albuquerque home.


January 20, 2012 - U.S. Marshal Albert Najera, of the Eastern District of California, announced today that Richard Lamont Hinton was arrested on January 19, 2012 by the Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force (PSWRFTF), Fresno Division. This subject was wanted by Los Angeles Police Department for the crime of Murder.


January 20, 2012 - The group Move to Amend (MTA) is planning a 1-day protest on Friday, January 20, 2012 against the expansion of corporate personhood rights. The protest itself is called Occupy the Courts (OTC) and will take place at courthouses nationwide during normal business hours.


January 20, 2012 - Lamont Deshawn Terry was arrested by Operation Intercept (OPIN), the U.S. Marshals fugitive apprehension task force, today after receiving a request from the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force (CARFTF) in Washington, DC. Terry is the alleged shooting suspect of Chet Hunter Matthews stemming from an incident on May 26, 1992 in East Potomac Park, Haines Point area of Washington, DC.


January 20, 2012 - Operation Intercept (OPIN) the U.S. Marshals fugitive apprehension task force arrested Gonzales Wardlaw AKA: “Snoop” after receiving a tip from Crimestoppers at an apartment complex in Columbia. Wardlaw was sought by the Columbia Police Department for the Murder of Thomas T. Hoefer on December 29, 2011 at the Olive Garden Restaurant in Harbison.


January 18, 2012 - The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested a convicted sexual predator who has been dodging law enforcement for months. Timothy Lee Rentas was captured by the Task Force with the assistance of Escambia County Sheriff’s Deputies from the Sexual Offender Unit and Warrants Division.


January 15, 2012 - On January 13, members of the U.S. Marshals Service Adam Walsh Task Force arrested wanted fugitive Rodolfo “Rudy” Sanchez, of San Antonio, Texas, at a residence in Mililani. Sanchez was wanted by the law enforcement out of Harris County, Texas pursuant to two felony arrest warrants. On July 22, 2009, Sanchez was indicted by a Harris County grand jury on two counts of Indecency with a Child. Sanchez eventually fled Texas and has been a fugitive on the run for over two years.


January 11, 2012 - The U.S. Marshals Service led Fugitive Task Force in partnership with the Sparks Police Department announces the arrest of Jose Guadalupe Gomez-Delgado. The subject is wanted by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) on multiple charges including kidnapping, sexual assault, and assault with a deadly weapon. It is alleged that in 2009, Gomez-Delgado kidnapped and sexually assaulted an adult female.


January 10, 2012 - Kevin A. Carr, U.S. Marshal for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, announced the arrest of fugitive Marcus Taylor. The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force and Louisville Metro Police Department took Taylor into custody late last night after a brief struggle at a Wal-Mart Store. Taylor was wanted by the Racine Police Department for Repeated Sexual Assault of a Minor, and by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections for Parole Violation.


January 10, 2012 - U.S. Marshal Martin J. Pane announced today that the United States Marshals Service (USMS) arrested Raymond Brennan – a 37-year old Bradford County man - in Burlington, North Carolina. Brennan was being sought on multiple charges by the Pennsylvania State Police-Towanda barracks and the Athens Township Police Department (Bradford County).


January 09, 2012 - On January 6, 2012, the U.S. Marshals Service fugitive task force took 3 sex offenders into custody in Albuquerque, NM. The Marshals Service developed information into the 3 fugitives and their whereabouts in Albuquerque. Friday morning, Deputy Marshals arrested the first fugitive Richard McCarty in the North Valley, in the afternoon Vincent Eddleston was arrested on I-40 just outside of Edgewood, NM , and in the evening, Jeremy Jaramillo was arrested in a hotel near Eubank in North East Albuquerque.


January 06, 2012 - U.S. Marshal Cathy Jones announces the arrest by the Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST) of Robert Scott Carver. Carver has been wanted by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office in South Carolina since November of 2006 for Kidnapping, Criminal Sexual Conduct with Spouse 1st degree, two counts of Unlawful Conduct towards a Child, and Malicious Injury to personal property.


January 06, 2012 - Members of the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF), along with the Cleveland Police S.W.A.T., arrested fugitive Julius Webster at a residence in Cleveland. Webster was wanted since October 2011 by the Ohio Adult Parole Authority for escape. Webster has a violent criminal history and is one of the leaders of the Heartless Felons gang.


January 05, 2012 - The U.S. Marshals Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force (PSWRFTF) Fresno Division arrested 24 year old Michael Randolph Fritz in Bakersfield, California. Fritz was wanted in connection with the rape of a 13 year old girl in 2008.


January 04, 2012 -  A Savannah man wanted for the Armed Robbery of the Wendy’s on Wilmington Island was arrested by the Macon Office of the U.S. Marshals Service Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force. Ronnie James Holder was wanted by the Savannah Chatham Metropolitan Police Department (SCMPD) for the Armed Robbery of the Wendy’s on Wilmington Island.


January 03, 2012 - The U.S. Marshals Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force (PSWRFTF) Sacramento Division arrested 32 year old Marcus Hume in Marysville, California. Hume was wanted for Homicide.


January 02, 2012 - Herman Dessausure, a Savannah man wanted for Murder and Aggravated Assault, was arrested by the Savannah Office of the U.S. Marshals Service Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force and Savannah Chatham Metropolitan Police Department (SCMPD) Detectives, SWAT, and K-9.


December 29, 2011 - On December 28, 2011, Deputy U.S. Marshals and the Las Cruces Police Officers apprehended murder suspects Armando and Mando Lopez. The twin brothers are Norteno gang members wanted out of Los Banos, California for a double homicide that occurred at a night club in Los Banos on August 7.


December 22, 2011 - Members of the U.S. Marshals Task Force in the Northern District of Georgia arrested Billy Farmer in Newnan, Georgia. Farmer was wanted by the Richland County Sheriff’s Office for failing to verify current address, a felony of the 4th degree. In April 2008, Farmer was convicted of corruption of a minor and he was classified as a tier II sex offender and required to register every 180 days for a period of 25 years.


December 22, 2011 - The U.S. Marshals Operation Intercept (OPIN) fugitive task force announces the arrest of Jonathan Nathaniel Golden in a local hotel on Wednesday. Golden along with four other inmates escaped from the Elmore County Jail in Wetumpka, Alabama on December 14. Golden went on crime spree from Alabama to South Carolina to include stealing a car with firearms inside and fleeing the area.


December 22, 2011 - Kevin A. Carr, U.S. Marshal for the Eastern District of Wisconsin announced the arrest of Francisco Martinez in Green Bay, WI. Martinez was convicted in Douglas County Nebraska of First degree Sexual Assault, Use of a weapon to commit a felony, Terroristic threats and witness tampering in 1997. While awaiting sentencing Martinez fled and has been a fugitive for over 14 years.


December 22, 2011 - The U.S. Marshals Service has announced the addition of Edward Salas to its 15 Most Wanted fugitive list. A convicted child killer, Salas escaped from the Curry County Detention Center in Clovis, New Mexico, on August 28, 2008, and has been on the lam ever since. At the time of his escape, he was serving a life sentence plus 56 years for his role in the murder of 10-year-old Carlos Perez.


December 21, 2011 - The U.S. Marshals led Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force (PSWRFTF) arrested 34 year old Roy Allen Ostergren. Ostergren was wanted out of Texas for Aggravated Assault on a family member. In the early morning hours of December 12th 2011 in Ector County Texas, Ostergren is alleged to have assaulted his common law wife.


December 21, 2011 - The U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) Toledo Division arrested Cameron L Stewart, age 29. Stewart was wanted out of Tempe, AZ for conspiracy to sell/transport marijuana and possession of marijuana which occurred in November 2009.


December 20, 2011 - U.S. Marshal Albert Najera, of the Eastern District of California, announced today that the U.S. Marshals Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force (PSWRFTF) Fresno Division, arrested 33 year old Jennifer Case, and 39 year old Henry Eliseo Renteria. Both are wanted by the Fresno Police Department for the Murder of 19 year old Michael James Mitchell of Fresno. Renteria was also wanted by the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) for violating his conditions of parole.


December 20, 2011 - As her toys were unloaded from the cart onto the conveyor belt, 7-year-old Jackie Vasquez said there was only one word to describe her shopping experience: “fun!” "I didn't sleep at all last night, and I got up early today to get ready," she said dancing near the checkout lane at Target. Jackie was one of 40 children in crisis situations who was given the chance to go shopping with a law enforcement officer in the sixth annual Shop with a Cop.

December 19, 2011 - The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force announces the capture of a Pensacola man who is accused of shooting and killing a baby in a housing complex in Pensacola in mid-July of this year. Dwayne Cordell Pinestraw, aka “Money”, was apprehended by the Dallas U.S. Marshals North Texas Fugitive Task Force incident.


December 19, 2011 - A Costa Rican man wanted in his native country for raping a 3-year-old child a decade ago is facing deportation following his capture Friday night by the U.S. Marshals and agents from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI).


December 19, 2011 - On December 17, 2011, Deputies from the Northern District of California participated in a memorial run to benefit the Officer James Capoot Family Trust. The two-mile charity event was attended by many members of the Vallejo community, as well as law enforcement from around the bay area. Officer Capoot was shot and killed on November 17, 2011, during a pursuit of a bank robbery suspect following a high-speed chase.


December 19, 2011 - Eric Joe Cabrera, also known as “Chico the Mexican”, was arrested as he exited a Greyhound Bus in the wee hours of Saturday morning by Alice Police Department in Alice, TX. Cabrera had been residing in the Columbia area and is associated with the “Crips” gang.


December 17, 2011 - The U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) Akron Division stepped up their efforts to assist with the rash of violence that has occurred in Akron over the last week. The NOVFTF called in Task Force Officers from three counties. Task Force Officers worked non-stop hand in hand with the Akron Police Department, Street Narcotics Uniform Detail (SNUD) unit, hitting the streets non-stop since Thursday morning.


December 16, 2011 - United States Marshal Martin J. Pane announces the arrest of Harry Joline - a 43-year old man from Salem Township, Luzerne County – for Unlawful Restraint, Involuntary Servitude, multiple counts of Assault, Harassment, Flight to Avoid Prosecution, and Violations of federal Supervised Release.


December 16, 2011 -  The U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) Akron Division arrested Bobby L. Kennedy. Kennedy was wanted by the Cuyahoga Falls Police Department on speeding, OVI - under the influence of both alcohol and drugs, driving under suspension, fleeing and eluding police and child endangering that occurred in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. Kennedy led police on a high-speed chase with two children in the vehicle.


December 16, 2011 - Earlier this year the U.S. Marshals requested the assistance of America’s Most Wanted (AMW) in exposing an elusive suspect/fugitive named Kenneth Crouch. Crouch is Wanted by the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office, Louisiana Probation and Parole, and the U.S. Marshals for a myriad of crimes. AMW put Crouch on their website earlier this year and in November AMW came to Lafayette and filmed a lengthy segment about Crouch and his crimes. AMW will air a segment about Crouch tomorrow on their Fox Special that begins at 7:00 p.m. Central Time.


December 15, 2011 - The United States Marshal Service in New Mexico partnered with the United States Attorney’s Office, the United States Probation Office, and the United States District Court Clerk’s Office and raised over 280 new toys for the United States Marine Corps annual “Toys for Tots” charity. The toy drive ran December 1-14 at both the Albuquerque and Las Cruces offices.


December 15, 2011 - Established eight years ago to combine the talent and resources of a variety of federal, state and local law enforcement agencies toward apprehending dangerous fugitives, the U.S. Marshals Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force, based in Chicago, recently netted its 50,000th arrest.


 December 14, 2011 - The U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) Akron Division and the Southern District of Florida U.S. Marshals arrested Jeremy P. Huth, age 40. Huth was wanted by the New Franklin Police Department on charges of rape of a minor that occurred at the end August of 2011 in New Franklin, Ohio.


December 14, 2011 - A fugitive that was profiled on America’s Most Wanted television show was arrested last night in Las Vegas, Nevada, by the Nevada Fugitive Investigative Strike Team (FIST). Anton Blevins was wanted by the Detroit Police Department for homicide. It is alleged that Blevins had a violent encounter outside of a nightclub in downtown Detroit. During this altercation, Wayne State University cornerback Courtney Cortez Smith was fatally shot.


December 14, 2011 - Deputies and Task Force Officers with the U.S. Marshals Service Southwest Investigative Fugitive Team (SWIFT Task Force) arrested Edward Broussard. Broussard was wanted in connection to a November shooting in Houston, TX which left one man dead and another seriously injured. Edward along with his brother Darrell Broussard are both charged in Texas for Capital Murder and Aggravated Assault with a deadly weapon.


December 13, 2011 - The U.S. Marshals from South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia along with Greenville, Spartanburg, and Pickens County Sheriff’s Deputies, Greenville and Mauldin Police Officers, and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) completed a successful Sex Offender Community Compliance operation (SOCC) in the upstate during the week of December 5. Operation SOCC targeted 656 active sex offenders being monitored by Greenville County Sheriff’s Office and verified 628 listed offenders.


December 13, 2011 - The United States Marshals Service led Lone Star Fugitive Task Force is pleased to announce the addition of the Kyle Police Department to its fugitive hunting team. Announcing the latest agency to the task force, United States Marshal Robert R. Almonte of the Western District of Texas was on hand at the department’s headquarters to welcome Chief Jeff Barnett to its premier fugitive hunting team.


December 12, 2011 - U.S. Marshal Albert Najera, of the Eastern District of California, announced today that 32 year old, Logan Rafael Quiroga, was arrested on December 9th by Sonora State Police in the city of San Luis Rio Colorado, Mexico. This subject was wanted by Tehachapi Police Department for the crime of Murder.


December 12, 2011 - On Friday December 09, 2011 Officers with the Albuquerque Police Department attempted to arrest federal fugitive Fernando Calleros. Calleros was wanted by the United States District Court for failing to comply with his conditions of pre-trial release. Calleros faces federal charges on Fraud by Wire and Mail Fraud where it is alleged he attempted to steal peoples’ identity.


December 12, 2011 - U.S. Marshals have arrested Pasquale Patrick Senatore a 45 year old male in New Jersey for a 2002 warrant out of El Dorado County. In 1998 Senatore is alleged to have forcibly raped a 14 year old female victim repeatedly over a 3 month period.


December 12, 2011 - A Chatham County man wanted on multiple drug charges was arrested by the United States Marshals Service Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force in Okeechobee, Florida on December 10, 2011. Michael J. Cheuvront, 55, was wanted by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the Chatham County Sheriff’s Department.


December 09, 2011 - The United States Marshals Service placed Juan Medina, 23, and his brother Arturo Medina, 24, on the New Mexico’s Most Wanted list. The Medina brothers are Sureno gang members both with violent criminal histories. In November during a fight, the brothers stabbed the victim and then beat him with brass knuckles. In the past 5 years, the Medina brothers have close to 40 contacts with law enforcement officers in Texas and NM.


December 08, 2011 - With the assistance of the United States Marshals Service, Oakland Police Department, San Francisco Police Department, Lexington, Kentucky Police Department, and members of the Oakland Community, the suspect responsible for the shooting death of Kayode Foster outside of the Occupy Oakland encampment at Frank Ogawa Plaza on November 10, 2011 has been arrested.


December 08, 2011 - 15 Most Wanted Addition - The U.S. Marshals have added a suspected child rapist to their 15 Most Wanted fugitive list. Corey Deshawn Gaston is wanted in Michigan by the Detroit Police Department and the U.S. Marshals for failure to appear on the original charges of rape (1st and 2nd degree criminal sexual conduct/person under 13), kidnapping, home invasion and child enticement. A federal warrant for unlawful flight to avoid prosecution has also been issued. 


December 08, 2011 - On December 7, 2011 the U.S. Marshals Service auctioned a 1967 Ford Shelby GT500E Cobra in an online auction where the final bidding reached a feverish pace at the final closing moments and sold at a final bid of $132,610.00. The Shelby Cobra is an iconic muscle car and this particular one was seized during a Federal Bureau of Investigation case involving, money laundering, bribery, mail fraud, and a kick-back scheme which led to the administrative forfeiture of the Cobra.


December 07, 2011 - Several pieces of construction equipment formerly belonging to convicted fraudster Linda Tribby are being sold via a live and online auction in Richmond, Va., Friday at 10 a.m. The property, which consists of a Bobcat front loader, a Kubota tractor and a Bobcat snow blade, was seized and forfeited in connection with the criminal conviction of Tribby, who pleaded guilty to one count of bank fraud in March.


December 07, 2011 - The United States Marshals Service for the District of New Mexico arrested Mark Anthony Gutierrez and Rian Chad Williams. Williams was arrested in Las Cruces shortly after being elevated to the Marshals Service Most Wanted Program and Gutierrez was arrested in Rio Rancho on an Albuquerque Metro Crime Stopper tip.


December 05, 2011 - U.S. Marshal Peter J. Elliott announces the launch of a new ability for the public to assist the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force track down wanted fugitives. The Task Force is now able to receive anonymous tips from the public via text message or web tip.


December 05, 2011 - U.S. Marshal Martin J. Pane announced today that the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) arrested alleged rapist Jeremiah Lynn Styers in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Styers was sought on an arrest warrant, dated November 2, 2011 and signed by Magisterial District Judge James H. Sortman in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.


December 02, 2011 - The U.S. Marshals Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force (PSWRFTF) Sacramento Division arrested 23 year old Eric Mathew Tabin in South Sacramento. Tabin was wanted for Homicide out of Stockton, California.


December 02, 2011 - Paul Coe White of San Antonio was arrested by U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force, in Houston, Texas. White was wanted by the San Antonio Police Department for Robbery, Narcotics and Evading Arrest.

November 30, 2011 - The U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force -  Richland County Division - tracked down wanted fugitive Demondray Brooks. Brooks was wanted by the Mansfield Police Department on felony warrants for domestic violence, having weapons under disability, aggravated menacing, drug trafficking, and receiving stolen property.


November 30, 2011 - Anthony Allen Ruston, of St. Paul, Minnesota was arrested by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force today just outside San Antonio. Ruston was wanted for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender by the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Department. This Failure to Register charge stems from two previous convictions for Sex Crimes involving females under the age of 13.


November 30, 2011 - A Crestview, Florida man wanted in connection with a Homicide and Armed Robbery is finally behind bars after almost two weeks on the run. According to investigators from the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office, Deaundros L. Blackshear was involved in an armed robbery on November 15, 2011 in Destin, Florida which ended in the shooting death of 21 year old Junior Christopher Ferguson.


November 28, 2011 - Deputy United States Marshals from the District of New Mexico arrested Jason Mitchell one of the Albuquerque Police Departments Most Wanted Property Crime Offenders. Mitchell was first featured in December of 2009 after his arrest warrant for failure to comply with conditions of release on charges of attempted burglary and conspiracy to commit burglary was issued on 12/11/2006.

November 15, 2011 - U.S. Marshals from Roanoke, assisted by units of the Henry Co. Sheriff’s Office and the Virginia State Police Tactical Team executed a search warrant at a mobile home in rural Henry Co. attempting to locate fugitive Steven Ray Bishop of Bassett, Virginia. Bishop was wanted by the Virginia State Police for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender and by the Patrick Co. Sheriff’s Office for Failure to Appear on Drug Distribution Charges.


November 10, 2011 - Attempted Murder Suspect Bruce Anthony Hollis was arrested by Deputies and Task Force Officers with the United States Marshals Service Southwest Fugitive Investigative Team, and New Mexico Department of Public Safety Motor Transportation Police along Interstate 40 near Juantabo in Albuquerque. Hollis is wanted by the Bakersfield Police Department in California.


November 09, 2011 - Members of the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Solomon Williams III in Cleveland Hopkins International Airport after they established information he may be trying to leave the state. Williams was wanted by the Cleveland Police Department for allegedly sexually assaulting a 13 year old female several times starting in 2008 up until 2011.


November 08, 2011 - On November 7, 2011 Javier Tarango was arrested in El Paso, Texas. Deputies with the United States Marshals Service assigned to the Southwest Investigative Fugitive Team (SWIFT Taskforce) and Deputies from the El Paso Office of the United States Marshals Service arrested Tarango after receiving a tip from a concerned citizen who saw Tarango’s picture on the New Mexico’s Most Wanted.


November 04, 2011 - The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force and the Pensacola Police arrested a Bay county man wanted on numerous charges of child molestation as he walked off a plane at Pensacola Airport. John Claude Chambers was arrested by task force members from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE), State Attorney’s Office and Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office without incident and was escorted from the rear stairs of the jet way by Pensacola Police and placed into a patrol car.


November 04, 2011 - The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force is announcing the completion of Operation LASSO (Lock Up And Secure Sex Offenders). The operation began on August 29, 2011 and ended November 4, 2011 with huge success.  The result was the arrest of 193 Sex Offenders throughout West Texas for crimes involving everything from Sexual Assault of a Child to Failure to comply with rules of Supervision.


November 04, 2011 - Hundreds of items, including designer shoes, purses, and clothing, formerly belonging to convicted embezzler Sujata “Sue” Sachdeva are being sold via an online auction by the U.S. Marshals Service through November. The property, which includes brands such as Armani, Manolo Blahnik, Brooks Brothers, Chanel, Fendi, Gucci, Donna Karan, LAM and Louis Vuitton, was seized and forfeited in connection with the criminal prosecution of Sachdeva, who was convicted of embezzling $34 million from the Milwaukee-based company, Koss Corp.


November 04, 2011 - U.S. Marshal Martin J. Pane announced today that the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) arrested Dontae Eugene Robinson in Houston, TX. Robinson was being sought by the Lower Paxton Township Police Department for his role in a brazen, daytime armed robbery of GEM Jewelry on October 7, 2011. When police arrived, it was determined the store had been the victim of a take-over style robbery.


November 01, 2011 - Deputy U.S. Marshals teamed up with fellow county and local law enforcement agencies to conduct a lower Luzerne County-based round up of fugitives. Dubbed “Operation Safe Streets”, Deputy Marshals and their task force officers arrested 14 fugitives. During the five-day operation that ran from October 23-27, there were a total of 15 fugitive warrants that were closed.


November 01, 2011 - U.S. Marshal Martin J. Pane announced today that the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) arrested Izone Jackson in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Jackson was being sought on an arrest warrant, dated August 22, 2011 and signed by Magisterial District Judge C. Roger McRae in Muncy, Pennsylvania. During July 2011, the Williamsport Bureau of Police conducted an investigation into the alleged drug trafficking activities of Izone Jackson.


November 01, 2011 - On Monday, October 31, 2011, Deputy United States Marshals in the District of New Mexico participated in an annual Halloween Sex Offender Compliance Operation. The overarching goal of protecting New Mexico’s children was accomplished by means of a collaborative effort that involved many agencies participating throughout the State of New Mexico.


November 01, 2011 - On October 31, 2011, United States Marshals in Roswell, NM arrested another New Mexico’s Most Wanted fugitive last night during the trick or treat hours. Deputy Marshals responded to the 300 block of W. Matthews in reference to information received from a credible source about violent gang fugitive Daniel Jojola.


November 01, 2011 - 15 Most Wanted Capture - U.S. Marshal John Kammerzell and Douglas County Sheriff David A. Weaver announce the capture of U.S. Marshals Service 15 Most Wanted Fugitive Richard Carl Heeringa in Detroit, Mich., Saturday. Heeringa was added to the 15 Most Wanted list in July.


October 31, 2011 - A Savannah man wanted for Murder was arrested by the United States Marshals Service Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force in Atlanta, Georgia on October 31, 2011. Akeem Johnson was wanted by the Savannah Chatham Metropolitan Police Department (SCMPD) for the offense of Murder that occurred on October 8, 2011.


October 29, 2011 - Deputy U.S. Marshals coordinated the arrest and return of Michael Jefferson, 28, from Los Alogodones, Baja California, Mexico. Jefferson was subsequently arrested by American authorities at the Calexico U.S. Port of Entry in California. Jefferson was wanted by the Chandler Police Department after having been charged with numerous crimes including, Illegal Control of an Enterprise, Money Laundering, Fraudulent Schemes, Taking the ID of Another and Trafficking the Identity of Another.


October 28, 2011 - Acting U.S. Marshal Martin J. Pane announced today that the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) arrested William Szalku in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Szalku, 49 years of age, was wanted by the U.S. Marshals Service after a Federal Warrant was issued on October 24, 2011 charging Szalku with Violation of Conditions of Supervised Release.


October 28, 2011 - On Friday, October 28, 2011, the United States Marshals Service held the third Asset Forfeiture auto auction of 2011 at Dugger Services in NE Albuquerque. The auction brought in over $111,000.00 and was a huge success for both the public and the government.


October 28, 2011 - In an ongoing effort to make Halloween safer for the children in our communities, Nevada Child Seekers is excited to announce that a partnership of local law enforcement agencies and the U.S. Marshals Service are conducting “Operation Trick-or-Treat ”, a five day joint law enforcement operation to arrest sex offender fugitives and to ensure compliance with sex offender registration requirements by sex offenders in Clark County and Washoe County.


October 28, 2011 -  U.S. Marshal Albert Najera of the Eastern District of California announced today that the U.S. Marshals Service arrested Ricardo Covarrubia, a San Joaquin Bulldog Street Gang Member, of Kerman California; Covarrubia was wanted for kidnapping, robbery, burglary, and assault with a firearm.


October 26, 2011 - The United States Marshal Service District of New Mexico added Daniel Luis Jojola to their list of Most Wanted Gang Offenders. Jojola is a known gang member who frequents the areas of Roswell and Hobbs, NM. Jojola is associated with the “Eastside Chihuahuita” gang, and has an extensive criminal history including, possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and four burglary convictions.


October 26, 2011 - The U.S. Marshals Service will be auctioning 18 vehicles which were seized due to illegal activities. The auction will begin promptly at 10:00 am Friday October 28, 2011 in Albuquerque. The total value of the vehicles to be sold is $122,986.00. October 25, 2011 - U.S. Marshal Albert Najera of the Eastern District of California announced today that the U.S. Marshals Service arrested 18 year old Deshaun Christopher Buford in Sacramento; Buford was wanted for attempted homicide in West Sacramento, CA.


October 25, 2011 - U.S. Marshal Martin J. Pane announced today that the U.S. Marshals Service arrested Karrieam Jenkins in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania. Jenkins was being sought on an arrest warrant, dated July 1, 2011 and signed by Magisterial District Judge Allen P. Page III in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. In late June 2011, the Williamsport Bureau of Police conducted an investigation into the alleged sexual assault of a minor in Williamsport in early April 2011.


October 25, 2011 - U.S. Marshal Albert Najera of the Eastern District of California announced today that the U.S. Marshals Service arrested 20 year old Dustin Michael Wingard in Manteca, California. Wingard was wanted for homicide in Manteca.


October 21, 2011 - On Thursday, October 20, 2011 the U.S. Marshals Service’s Adam Walsh Fugitive Task Force located and apprehended 20 year-old Hans Poouahi, Jr. at a Hanalei Street home in Waianae, Hawaii. Poouahi Jr. was wanted for a $20,000 cash-only state warrant issued on September 6, 2011 by Judge Steven S. Alm for failing to comply with the terms and condition of HOPE (Hawaii's Opportunity Probation with Enforcement) Probation with the underlying charge of Escape in the Second Degree.


October 21, 2011 - Peter J. Elliott, United States Marshal for the Northern District of Ohio, is announcing the arrests of three individuals who are suspected of impersonating federal law enforcement officers. On July 27, 2011 witnesses observed several subjects in downtown Youngstown wearing clothing and badges that identified them as “Special Police Constables” for the United States Government. The U.S. Marshals Service was contacted and an investigation was initiated.


October 20, 2011 - The United States Marshal Service in New Mexico added Javier Mendez to their list of Most Wanted Sexual Offenders. It’s alleged that Mendez, a naturalized U.S. citizen, forced a 14 year old girl to have sexual intercourse with him approximately 2-3 times a week for almost a year beginning in July of 2010.


October 19, 2011 - The Hondo Police Department and the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF), arrested Leonardo Rivas, a suspect in the fatal shooting of Felix Flores and the wounding of another in San Antonio this morning without incident.  His brother, Michael Anthony Rivas, is currently sought by the Task Force as his current whereabouts are unknown.


October 19, 2011 - The United States Marshals Service led Fugitive Task Force (USMS) announces the arrest of Nicolas J .Whitlock. Whitlock is wanted in Galveston, Texas on two outstanding arrest warrants, alleging indecency with a minor by exposure, issued on October 10, 2011. Whitlock, 27, was arrested this morning and booked into the Washoe County Jail awaiting extradition to Texas.


October 17, 2011 - A man wanted by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for numerous felony offenses was captured by the United States Marshals Service Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force (SERFTF), the Chatham County Sheriff’s Department and the Tybee Island Police Department at a hotel on Tybee Island, Georgia. Christopher Ghrist was wanted by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for several felony drug and firearm charges.


October 17, 2011 - Wanted fugitive John Pritchard was found and arrested in New Mexico in connection to the murder of his estranged girlfriend Robin Bailey, in Akron, Ohio. At approximately 11 p.m. on Friday October 14, 2011, John Pritchard was arrested in Taos, New Mexico.


October 14, 2011 - Acting U.S. Marshal Martin J. Pane announced today that the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) arrested Julio Mena Matos in Hazleton, Pennsylvania. On June 8, 2010, a federal grand jury in the Middle District of Pennsylvania, Scranton Division, indicted Mena Matos for his role in a cocaine trafficking ring operating in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.


October 14, 2011 - Almost 18 months after being charged in U.S. District Court in Scranton, U.S. Marshals have located and arrested Amy Sims. Acting United States Marshal Martin J. Pane announced her arrest today in Olyphant, Pennsylvania. On April 20, 2010, a federal arrest warrant was issued, charging Sims with Violation of Supervised Release. At the time, she was on supervision from two separate convictions in the Middle District of Pennsylvania (M/PA).


October 14, 2011 - The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force (FRFTF) from Pensacola apprehended a man who according to police reports said he would kill his wife, her family and law enforcement should they try to stop him. According to a report taken by the Sheriff’s Office in Santa Rosa taken earlier this week James Walter Robinson told his wife, “…tell them cops to come on, I have lots of guns and if they come over here someone is going to die.”


October 14, 2011 - Deputy U.S. Marshals arrested Richard Otero in Albuquerque around 5:00pm Friday October 14, 2011. Otero is wanted for allegedly being the shooter in a drive-by in Roswell, NM on October 5th, 2011. Otero is charged with; Shooting from a motor vehicle, Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, Aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, felon in possession of a firearm, and Endangering a child.


October 14, 2011 - On October 8, 2011 Charlie Tapia was arrested by the Albuquerque Police Department after his attempt at a home invasion robbery went wrong. Tapia, one of the U.S. Marshals Service’s New Mexico Most Wanted, was wanted for Forced Entry Burglary after Tapia and an accomplice forced entry into a Las Vegas, NM home, kidnapped the residents and stole items from the home including a car.


October 14, 2011 - Kevin A. Carr, United States Marshal for the Eastern District of Wisconsin announced the arrest of Michael F. Rhoades today.  On October 6, 2011 the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office requested the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Service in locating and apprehending Rhoades. Rhoades is alleged to have sexually assaulted a disabled female and is a suspect in another sexual assault that occurred on a running trail in the Fond du Lac area. 


October 13, 2011 - The U.S. Marshals Service, Sunland Park Police Department, Dona Ana County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team, Customs and Border Protection Air Wing, and Southern New Mexico Gang Task Force Officers arrested three know “Barrio Azteca” gang Members in Sunland Park, NM. The Fourth “Azteca” Javier Tarango, wanted in connection with the crimes, is still at large and the Marshals Service along with other State, Local, and Federal agencies are actively investigating his whereabouts.


October 13, 2011 - Operation SAFE SCARE is a joint agency focus to validate the addresses provided by registered sex offenders. Halloween is a time when many children are on the streets going door-to-door trick-or-treating and are vulnerable to sexual predators. The aim of SAFE SCARE is to keep our kids safe so they can enjoy Halloween and being a kid. SAFE SCARE allows law enforcement to validate information provided by sex offenders during the registration and periodic re-registration requirements under Arkansas State Law.


October 12, 2011 - From October 5 - 7, 2011, the United States Marshals Service in the Eastern District of California, Fresno partnered with the Fresno Police Department at the Big Fresno Fair in order to enhance awareness of the Meagan’s Law Website. Deputies and detectives interacted with the community by distributing pamphlets, pencils, badges, and stickers. Parents were encouraged to access the Meagan’s Law website to determine if registered sex offenders are living in their neighborhood.


October 07, 2011 - U.S. Marshals Service Director Stacia A. Hylton swore in Edward M. Spooner on Thursday as the new U.S. Marshal for the Northern District of Florida at the agency’s headquarters in Washington.


October 07, 2011 - On October 6, 2011 Deputies and Sex Offender Investigators from the United States Marshals Service Southwest Investigative Fugitive Team (SWIFT) Task Force and members from the Gallup Police Department arrested Rocky Rubio in Gallup NM. Rubio was wanted by authorities in Arizona for selling heroin to a 16 year old female then raping her. The girl died shortly after Rubio raped her from a heroin overdose.


October 06, 2011 - The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force caught up with a Walton County, FL woman suspected of assisting a murder suspect by moving the body of the victim, burning his bloody clothes and then hiding the suspect from police in a hotel room where she worked. Sara Golden Hanks was apprehended yesterday in Samson, AL.


October 06, 2011 - The United States Marshals Service, District of Arizona, will be holding an auction of numerous vehicles forfeited to the United States Government. October 06, 2011 - Dustin Paul McFall was apprehended last night in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico by the Tamaulipas Ministry of Public Safety (Secretaria De Seguridad Publica) and quickly turned over to Mexican Immigration authorities. Judicial authorities in Nuevo Laredo determined McFall had no legal status to remain in Mexico and was expelled shortly before midnight at the US/Mexico Port of Entry in Laredo.


October 06, 2011 - Operation Intercept (OPIN), the U.S. Marshals fugitive apprehension task force arrested Laquane Barry Curry before sunrise this morning. Curry is wanted by the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department in Fayetteville, NC for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender and by the NC Department of Community Corrections for five outstanding Probation Violation Warrants stemming from Sexual Battery and Assault charges.


October 05, 2011 - The United States Marshal Service, District of New Mexico, will be assisting local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies in the 2011 Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. The annual event will take place October 1-9. The fiesta expects 750-1000 balloon pilots to participate from all over the world and the event attracts over 1 million spectators over the 9 day period.


October 04, 2011 - A Savannah man wanted by the Savannah Chatham Metro Police Department was arrested by the Savannah Office of the United States Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force and the Beaufort-Jasper Multi Agency Drug Task Force in Bluffton, South Carolina. Dwayne Smith was being sought on three warrants by the Savannah Chatham Metro Police Department charging him with Aggravated Assault, Armed robbery, and Possession of a Firearm.


October 04, 2011 - U.S. Marshal Albert Najera of the Eastern District of California announced today that the U.S. Marshals Service arrested 38 year old Steven Embrey in Sacramento, Embrey was wanted for attempted murder in Oakland, CA.


October 04, 2011 - The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force sponsored by the United States Marshals Service is announcing the arrest of Lee Roy Suarez. Suarez was wanted by the Comal County Sheriff’s Office for the homicide of Diego Saenz and aggravated assault of his brother, Vicente Saenz.


October 03, 2011 - Emmanuel Matthew “Manny” Mendoza was expelled from the Republic of Mexico at the El Paso Port of Entry into the hands of the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force after an international investigation culminated in Mendoza’s detention by Mexican authorities in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua. Mendoza, a documented member of California’s West Side Tracy Nortenos street gang, was sought by law enforcement since his involvement in the botched robbery and subsequent murder of Kevin Prater II.


October 03, 2011 - The United States Marshals Service led Lone Star Fugitive Task Force is pleased to announce the addition of the Buda Police Department to its fugitive hunting team. Announcing the latest agency to the task force, United States Marshal Robert R. Almonte of the Western District of Texas states, “the citizen’s of Buda will benefit immensely knowing that Chief Bo Kidd will have ready access to a task force of experienced law enforcement professionals to draw upon should the need arise.”


September 30, 2011 - Raymond Novak was arrested by members of the US Marshal’s Violent Offender Task Force today. The arrest occurred near mile marker 72 off I-10 in Acadia Parish. Novak was Wanted by Westmoreland County Sheriff’s Office in Pennsylvania for Involuntary Deviant Sexual Intercourse. Novak was scheduled to appear for trial on these charges on Monday, September 26th, but he failed to appear.


September 30, 2011 - Operation Intercept (OPIN) the US Marshals fugitive apprehension task force and the Nevada Fugitive Investigative Strike Team (NFIST) working together jointly announce the location and apprehension of Ricky Hewins Mack at an apartment complex off of Elm Drive in Las Vegas, NV during the early afternoon Thursday.


September 30, 2011 - A U.S. Marshals fugitive task force from Orlando, Florida arrested Midland murder suspect Christopher Hill at a motel in Sanford, Florida on Thursday, September 29th. On September 18th, Midland Police responded to a shooting on north Weatherford Street and found 28 year old Jeremy Johnson dead of multiple gunshot wounds.


September 29, 2011 - Twelve real properties located throughout the Los Angeles area will be sold via a U.S. Marshals auction starting at noon Oct. 12 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel-Beverly Hills; 1150 S. Beverly Dr.; Los Angeles, CA 90035. Registration will begin at 11 a.m. The 12 varied properties include single-family homes, duplexes, a triplex, a mixed-use commercial property and vacant land.


September 29, 2011 - Cathy J. Jones, U.S. Marshal for the Southern District of Ohio, announced today that Devant Terrell Geter has been arrested by the U.S. Marshals led Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST). Geter was wanted for Escape on an arrest warrant from September 13, 2008. Geter was serving a 14 year sentence for Possession with Intent to Distribute in Excess of 500 mg of Cocaine and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon when he escaped from the federal penitentiary in Marion, IL.


September 28, 2011 - Kevin A. Carr, United States Marshal for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, announced the arrest of Thomas Friedel.  Friedel, a fugitive wanted in Waukesha County, was arrested by authorities in Barranquilla, Colombia. The U.S. Marshals worked closely with Colombian investigators over the past several weeks. After his arrest, Friedel was subsequently expelled from Colombia, and arrested by Deputy U.S. Marshals once he arrived at the Miami International Airport in Florida.


September 28, 2011 - The U.S. Marshals Service in the Southern District of Ohio, the Shelby County Sheriff's Office, Jackson Center Police Department, State of Ohio Adult Parole Authority and the Shelby County Adult Probation, conducted a joint law enforcement compliance operation designed to verify the current residences of offenders living in Shelby County Ohio.


September 27, 2011 - Members of the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force arrested wanted fugitive Joseph Faauga Vaimili, age 29 of Waipahu, at a residence in Houston, Texas. Vaimili, a convicted felon, was wanted by the State of Hawaii for felony offenses for two counts of kidnapping, carrying or use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, promoting prostitution in the first degree, and terroristic threatening in the first degree.


September 27, 2011 - On September 26, the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) located eight children who were kidnapped from a foster care facility in Queens, New York one week earlier. The children, ranging in age from 11-months old to 11-years old, were taken during a supervised visit with their biological parents. The one daughter and seven sons had originally been placed in foster care following allegations of abuse.


September 22, 2011 - Operation Intercept (OPIN) the U.S. Marshals fugitive apprehension task force made up of Deputy U.S. Marshals and officers with the Pickens, Greenville, Spartanburg, and Anderson County Sheriff’s Offices, Greenville City Police, SLED, alongside Deputy US Marshals from the Appalachian Fugitive Investigative Strike Team (AFIST) in Asheville, NC and Asheville Police, announce the location and apprehension of Tavish Yeargin, Kayla Williams, and Nyia Utsey at a hotel off of Old Haywood Rd in Asheville, NC late Wednesday evening.


September 22, 2011 - Acting U.S. Marshal Martin J. Pane announced today that the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force arrested Jeffrey McGough, Jr. McGough had been sought on multiple warrants since September 2010. An Indictment was issued by a federal grand jury in the Northern District of New York, charging McGough with possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance, conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance and use of communication facility during the commission of a felony.


September 20, 2011 - U.S. Marshal Albert Najera of the Eastern District of California announced today that the U.S. Marshals Service arrested 54 year old Robert Davis in Lodi, California. Beginning in June of 2011 Davis is suspected of robbing 11 different banks in the Stockton and San Joaquin County area.


September 20, 2011 - Don O’Keefe, the U.S. Marshal for the District of Northern California announces the extradition of Lionel Scott Harris from Venezuela. U.S. State Department Agents in San Francisco, working with Deputy U.S. Marshals, located and arrested Harris in Venezuela earlier this year. Harris was convicted of importing marijuana into the United States in excess of 1,000 Kilograms in 1990. Harris failed to appear for sentencing and is thought to have fled to Venezuela at that time.


September 19, 2011 - U.S. Marshal Albert Najera, of the Eastern District of California, announced today that the U.S. Marshals Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force (PSWRFTF) arrested 23 year old Yobanni Bonilla. This fugitive was wanted by Fresno County for a Double Homicide, and 3 counts of Attempt Homicide.


September 17, 2011 - The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force from Pensacola and The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team (SRT) apprehended an Okaloosa man after he barricaded himself inside of a 1 bedroom apartment. At about 2:30 p.m. the Task Force surrounded a unit of the Royale Apartment complex on Colonial Court, in Ft. Walton Beach. They quickly gained entry into the apartment once they knew fugitive Ian Phillip Garroutte was there.


September 16, 2011 - The U.S. Marshals Service concluded Operation Fall Classic in Dona Ana County, Las Cruces, NM. The 3 day operation targeted the 232 active registered sex offenders living in the area. The objective of the operation was verification of addresses and statutory compliance of registered sex offenders residing within Dona Ana County.


September 15, 2011 - On September 14, 2011, California Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. awarded the Governor’s Public Safety Officer Medal of Valor to 13 public safety officers. One of the recipients was Fresno County Sheriff Deputy Robert McEwen who is assigned to the U.S. Marshals Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force (PSWRFTF) in Fresno, CA.


September 14, 2011 - A Ten Most Wanted Fugitive wanted by Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) for a June 2011 homicide and aggravated assaults was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Savannah Office of the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force (SERFTF) in Augusta, Georgia. Thomas Lamont Dowlen was being sought by the Springfield Police Department on one count of criminal homicide and two counts of aggravated assault and was added to the TBI’s Top Ten Most Wanted list.


September 13, 2011 - Andre Carrdale Underwood, of Birmingham, Alabama, was arrested by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in north Austin. Underwood was apprehended without incident after information received from the Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force in Montgomery, AL indicated Underwood recently fled after he failed to appear for a recent court hearing involving pending sexual abuses charges against a child.


September 12, 2011 - Operation Intercept (OPIN), the U.S. Marshals fugitive apprehension task force announces the arrest of Attempted Murder suspect Tyshon Demontrea Johnson at an apartment complex in Hillsborough, NC. Johnson has been the suspect of an Attempted Murder Charge warrant issued by the Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office for the shooting incident which gravely injured Isaac Hammond.


September 08, 2011 - Cathy J. Jones, United States Marshal for the Southern District of Ohio, announces the arrests of Marty Roe and Tyree Parson. Roe was wanted by the Lexington Police Department for Harassing Communications. Parson was wanted by the Dayton Police Department for Murder and has pending Felonious Assault and Weapons Charges.


September 01, 2011 - Suspected Bank Robber Daniel Ryan Schoppe was arrested at the Motel 6, near Illif and Coors in NW Albuquerque. Schoppe was wanted by the United States Marshals Service in Albuquerque for an outstanding warrant for a Violation of his terms of Probation. Schoppe was also wanted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation for the Aug. 17 robbery of Wells Fargo bank in Albuquerque.


August 31, 2011 - The United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania and the United States Marshals Service for the Middle District of Pennsylvania jointly announced that Michael Brown, a Harrisburg man who failed to appear for sentencing on child pornography charges, was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service on Monday, August 29, 2011.


August 30, 2011 - The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force (FRFTF) in Pensacola joined together with the Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force (GCRFTF) from Mobile to capture a man who is accused of shooting and killing another man in Atmore, AL. Antonio Alberto Crenshaw was apprehended this morning by the U.S. Marshal Task Forces along with task force officers from Mobile and Pensacola at a room at the Red Roof Inn.


August 22, 2011 - The US Marshals along with the Wisconsin Department of Corrections Sex Offender Registry Program, Vernon County Sheriff’s Department and Crawford County Sheriff’s Department conducted a residence verification operation for registered sex offenders.  On August 16th and 17th deputies checked the addresses of 47 registered sex offenders in Vernon County and 27 in Crawford County.  Three were found to be non compliant in Vernon County and one in Crawford County.   The Sex Offender Registry Program Specialist will investigate the non-compliant sex offenders and make a recommendation to the district attorney.


August 19, 2011 - Deputy US Marshals arrested one of New Mexico’s Most Wanted gang offenders, Adam Cruz, Friday evening, August 19, 2011, in the 600 block of South Pine St., Roswell, NM.  Cruz was wanted pursuant to an arrest for Armed Robbery.  The arrest came just one day after Deputy U.S. Marshals assigned to the South West Investigative Fugitive Team (SWIFT) adopted the fugitive case at the request of Roswell Police Department Criminal Investigation Division.


August 19, 2011 - A Florida man wanted by the Alachua County Sheriff’s Department in Gainesville, Florida was arrested by the United States Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force and Savannah Chatham Metropolitan Police Department on August 19, 2011 in Savannah, Georgia.  Anthony M. Mathis was being sought on a warrant by the Alachua County Sheriff’s Department for Robbery.


August 19, 2011 - On August 18, 2011, Raymond Vigil was arrested in Denver Colorado by the United States Marshals Service Fugitive Location Apprehension Group Task Force.  Investigators believe Vigil had been living in the Denver, CO area since he had absconded 1 ½ years ago. Federal charges under the Adam Walsh act for fail to register as a sex offender are pending from the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Colorado.


August 18, 2011 – The US Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force (FRFTF) today announced the arrest of 39 year old Eric Sean Maxwell of Sopchoppy, Florida for the offenses of Failure to Register as a Sex Offender, Failure to Report Change of Address and Failure to Update Drivers License or Id Card.    Maxwell was located and arrested by members of the FRFTF on August 16, 2011 in Fort Myers, Florida.   


August 17, 2011 - Acting U.S. Marshal Martin J. Pane announced today that the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) arrested Matthew Morales – an 18-year old man - in Bronx, New York.  On June 3, 2011, an arrest warrant was issued for Morales, charging him with: Attempted criminal homicide; Aggravated assault; Simple assault; and Recklessly endangering another person.  Morales is accused of an early morning assault which occurred at a party in Coolbaugh Township, Monroe County, Pennsylvania on Saturday, May 21, 2011.  Two victims, Isaiah Bannister and Samuel Green, both of Blakeslee, Pennsylvania, were stabbed multiple times by Morales when a fight broke out at the party.  Green was stabbed approximately seven times in the back, neck and hand.  Green was treated at the Community Medical Center in Scranton.  Bannister suffered wounds to his face, ribs and back, and was treated at the Pocono Medical Center.


August 15, 2011 - On August 13, 2011, Deputy Marshals participated in Albuquerque’s Metro Teen Court Public Safety Day. Metro Teen Court is an event that is held for first time teen offenders who go before a jury of their peers and are sanctioned to do community service and serve as a juror.


August 15, 2011 - Members of the Hawaii Fugitive Task Force sex offender investigations unit arrested Francis Hawkins, Jr. without incident. Hawkins is a convicted sex offender who must notify authorities of his current whereabouts. As a result of his non-compliance Hawkins was arrested for failing to comply with covered offender registration requirements.


August 12, 2011 - A major fugitive wanted on outstanding state charges for attempted murder, promoting dangerous drugs, reckless driving of a vehicle, possession of a firearm in the commission of a separate felony and reckless endangering has been arrested by a team of law enforcement officers.  Josiah Okudara was being sought on warrants issued by Judge Joel August charging Okudara with two counts of attempted murder and promoting dangerous drugs in the second degree.


August 12, 2011 - Spencer Lewis McDaniel AKA: “Stone” has been on the run since October 18, 2010 for the fatal shooting death of Germaine Brown off of Walnut Street in the Five Points area of Columbia. McDaniel was named as the alleged shooter and fled the Columbia area as investigators flooded the city in search of him. However, today he was arrested by the Miami Beach Police Department without incident.


August 12, 2011 - On August 11, 2011, Deputy United States Marshals apprehended Nicholas Vallejos, 23, in Las Cruces, NM. Vallejos is wanted in connection with the stabbing of New Mexico State Aggie basketball player Makhtar Diop.


August 11, 2011 - A flawless, 43.51 carat yellow diamond will be sold via a U.S. Marshals online auction starting Sept. 6. The notable diamond appears on lists of the top diamonds in the world. The diamond was seized during an FBI undercover investigation in 2006 that resulted in the conviction of Paul Monea for money laundering. Monea is serving time in an Ohio federal prison with a scheduled release date in 2018.


August 11, 2011 - A Rincon man wanted on sixteen warrants by four departments was arrested by the United States Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force and Savannah Chatham Metropolitan Police Department in Savannah, Georgia. Aaron Craig Hubbard was being sought on two warrants from the Effingham County Sheriff’s Department for Sale of Cocaine and Unlawful Use of Communication Facilities.


August 10, 2011 - The Texas Lone Star Fugitive Task Force and the Southern Ohio United States Marshals Service Sex Offender Investigations Bureau is requesting assistance with the following investigation. Joseph Michael Hall is a convicted sex offender wanted by the U.S. Marshals Service for Failure to Register as a sex offender. He is also wanted by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office for failing to register and was most recently indicted by the Montgomery County Ohio Grand Jury for Rape of a child under the age of 13.


August 10, 2011 - Deputy United States Marshals arrested Ramon Lurbe in Denver, Colorado. Lurbe was wanted on charges for Criminal Sexual Penetration of a minor stemming from a June 2010 incident involving a 14 year old girl. On June 27, 2010, Lurbe stalked a 14 year old female at the Francis Canyon Campground located at Navajo Lake. During the night, Lurbe snuck into the female’s tent and sexually assaulted her.


August 10, 2011 - Abraham Moya Ortiz, whose last known address was in the Del Valle area, was arrested this morning by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force near the intersection of Tinnin Ford Rd., and Riverside without incident. Ortiz was sought by Bastrop County authorities last month for his alleged involvement with the continuous sexual abuse of a child, a first degree felony in Texas.


August 10, 2011 - The Marshals Service is proud to announce that the first five candidates for the New Mexico State University and United States Marshals Service Volunteer Student Internship Program in Las Cruces, New Mexico have been selected.  The Interns have received notice that they are to report and will officially start the Volunteer Student Intern Program in August.


August 09, 2011 - On August 4, 2011 the United States Marshals along with Grady County Jail personnel thwarted an attempt to escape from jail by federal prisoner Sergio Contreras-Sanchez, aka “Boxer”. Also arrested in the escape attempt was Maria Jimenez, girlfriend to Contreras-Sanchez.


August 05, 2011 - Members of the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) and the Cleveland Police Department arrested Miguel Gonzalez-Perez after receiving information Gonzalez-Perez was in the Cleveland area. Gonzalez-Perez was wanted by the Municipality of Bayamon in San Juan, Puerto Rico for murder.


August 05, 2011 - Farmington Police and Deputy United States Marshals and Task Force Officers with the Southwest Fugitive Investigative Team (SWIFT) Task Force Arrested Stephanie Mendez. Mendez was wanted on a Grand Jury Indictment charging her with two counts of vehicular homicide.


August 03, 2011 - Nineteen Year Old Nelson Paul Chambers peacefully surrendered to the U.S. Marshals Violent Offender Task Force (VOTF) at about 12:00 p.m. today. Chambers was accompanied by his family and others as he surrendered in front of the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center.  On July 19th after Chambers failed to appear at his trial for Aggravated Rape, the Lafayette Police Department requested the assistance of the VOTF.


August 01, 2011 - U.S. Marshal Genny May proudly announced that the United States Marshals Service, Eastern District of Louisiana, in conjunction with Crime Stoppers, the New Orleans Police Department, Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office, Kenner Police Department, Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office, and Louisiana Probation and Parole conducted a Greater New Orleans area fugitive roundup entitled “Operation Safe Summer,” from Sunday, July 17th through Thursday, July 21st. The results of the roundup were 105 fugitives arrested and 143 outstanding warrants cleared.


July 29, 2011 - 15 Most Wanted Capture - A U.S. Marshals “15 Most Wanted” fugitive, Simon Lopez, was found and taken into custody in Querétaro, a state in North-Central Mexico, by the Mexican Federal Police Thursday. Lopez was expelled from the country, and U.S. Marshals transported him from Mexico to Houston Friday. Lopez was wanted for allegations of murder of a 1-year-old child and is charged in Tyler, Texas, with murder and assault.


July 29, 2011 - The United States Marshals Service turned over custody of two vehicles, a 2007 Tahoe valued at $20,375 and 2007 Escalade valued at $30,300 to the Albuquerque Police Department. The Albuquerque Police Department is a participating member in the Drug Enforcement Agency’s Albuquerque District Office Metro Task Force and will participate in the Marshals Services equitable sharing of the 2007 Tahoe and Escalade.


July 29, 2011 - Members of the U.S. Marshals Service Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force (FRFTF) arrested a suspect wanted in connection with a Beaufort, SC homicide. Rajerick Lovell Knight of Beaufort, SC was wanted for the murder of Travis Sentell Holmes, 28, inside the Subway restaurant on Tuesday, July 26, 2011.


July 29, 2011 - On July 27, 2011 United States Marshals Service Deputies in the District of New Mexico arrested Joe Torres and Heather Soto in Las Cruces. Soto and Torres were arrested on charges of intentional child abuse resulting in death.


July 28, 2011 - Two Atlanta men wanted on federal drug warrants for Conspiracy to Possess with the intent to Distribute 50 grams or more of Methamphetamine were arrested by the United States Marshals Service Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force in Atlanta, Georgia.  Benjamin Garcia Hernandez and Sylvestre Loyo were indicted in Federal Court in the Southern District of Georgia by the Drug Enforcement Administration in October of 2008.


July 28, 2011 - On July 27, 2011, members of the U.S. Marshals Service Hawaii Fugitive Task Force arrested Daniel Seyler (age 48 of Honolulu) at a residence on Komomai Drive in Pearl City.  Seyler is a convicted sex offender and was wanted on two counts of Failure to Comply With Covered Offender Registration requirements.


July 27, 2011 - United States Marshals for the District of New Mexico arrested David Gullans, a fugitive and sex offender. Gullans was wanted in Lee County, Florida, for Failure to Register. In 1997, Gullans was convicted of sexual battery on a child. That 1997 conviction required Gullans to register as a sex offender for life.


July 27, 2011 - Peter J. Elliott, United States Marshal for the Northern District of Ohio, announced today that the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested its 25,000th fugitive. Alphonso Tate, who was wanted on charges of rape, kidnapping, and five counts of gross sexual imposition out of the Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Office, was apprehended by Deputy U.S.


July 27, 2011 - Members of the U.S. Marshals Service Hawaii Fugitive Task Force arrested Joseph Lee Guseman (age 31 of Glendive, Montana) a fugitive sex offender on the run and hiding out in Hawaii. 


July 25, 2011 - Members of the U.S. Marshals Service Task Force arrested Andrew K. Hoolulu, age 62, who was on probation for failing to register as a sex offender.  At approximately 11:30 am Deputy U.S. Marshals and Deputy Sheriff’s arrived at Hoolulu’s residence in Wahiawa and arrested him without incident.  Hoolulu was wanted on a $20k HOPE (Hawaii's Opportunity Probation with Enforcement) Probation warrant.


July 25, 2011 - Albert Najera, United States Marshal for the Eastern District of California, and Chief Blair Ulring of the Stockton Police Department, today announced the culmination of a two part joint operation involving fugitive apprehension and strategic proactive patrol throughout the city of Stockton totaling 117 arrests.  The operation was conducted over a four-day period beginning on July 20th.  The goal of Operation Double Play was to combat the increasing violent crime and gang activity in the Stockton, California area. 


July 22, 2011 - U.S. Marshal Cathy Jones of the Southern District of Ohio announces the arrest of Darrian Cordell. The 21 year old Cordell was wanted by the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department for Felony Possession of Drugs, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, and Improper Handling of a Firearm. 


July 22, 2011 - On July 21, 2011, U.S. Marshals and police officers from Odessa, Texas, arrested Christopher Nathan Martinez in a motel in Odessa, Texas. Martinez was on parole for Shooting at or From a Motor Vehicle and Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Martinez has a history that includes: Shooting at or From a Motor Vehicle, Battery on a Police Officer, Armed Robbery, Attempted Robbery, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Carrying of a Deadly Weapon, Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Bribery/Intimidation of a Witness, and Resisting or Evading Arrest.


July 21, 2011 - Acting U.S. Marshal, Martin J. Pane, announced today that the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) arrested Richard Hanson in Scranton, Pennsylvania. On the evening of July 19, 2011, it is alleged that Richard P. Hanson murdered his father Gary Hanson in their home located in Springfield Virginia. The father was shot in the head four times. Hanson fled his residence in a 1998 Saturn belonging to his parents. An arrest warrant was issued out of Fairfax County Virginia charging Richard Hanson with murder in the second degree.


July 21, 2011 - Yesterday, the U.S. Marshal led Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) arrested Rayshawn McCoy. McCoy, a known member of the violent Bloods street gang, was taken into custody without incident. McCoy was wanted by the Toledo Police Department and the Lucas County Sheriff on 10 warrants, 4 of which were felony warrants to include; involuntary manslaughter, robbery, weapons offense, and cocaine possession and sale.


July 21, 2011 - Over the course of two days beginning on July 19, 2011, the United States Marshals Hawaii Fugitive Task Force conducted “Operation Lokahi Sweep”.  HPD Officers, Deputy U.S. Marshals, Deputy Sheriffs, and Federal Agents (ICE, ATF, DEA) conducted a joint fugitive apprehension sweep encompassing the entire island of Oahu.  Sixty-two wanted fugitives were arrested and 123 warrants cleared. Those who were apprehended were wanted for various violent crimes to include robbery, narcotics violation, firearms possession, parole and probation violation.


July 21, 2011 - U.S. Marshal Albert Najera, of the Eastern District of California, announced today that the U.S. Marshals Central Valley Joint Fugitive Task Force (CVJFTF) arrested Bisente Garcia.  This fugitive was wanted by Madera Police Department for Attempted Homicide, and California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) for violating his conditions of parole. 


July 21, 2011 -  On July 19 & 20, U.S. Marshals Operation Intercept (OPIN) fugitive apprehension task force, Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO), FBI, the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED), Lexington County Sheriff’s Department, Richland County Sheriff’s Department, Sumter Police Department, and Columbia Police Department joined forces to “Shine the Light” on Registered Sex Offenders and violent fugitives.  OPIN and agents from all offices represented began Operation Surefire with 158 sex offenders and 10 violent fugitive warrants wanted for various felonies to include:  Marquel Joel Gadson AKA: Bushwick for Attempted Murder and Armed Robbery.


July 20, 2011 - The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force from Pensacola caught up with a fugitive who has been eluding law enforcement in 3 local area counties in the panhandle. Angel Christopher Godinez, 19, who has outstanding warrants in Okaloosa, Escambia and Jackson Counties, was arrested at an apartment in Ft. Walton Beach this evening just after 7 p.m.


July 20, 2011 - On July 19, 2011 Officers with the Pecos Valley Drug Task Force arrested Santos Ochoa and Marshals Service Deputies and Detectives from the Roswell Police Department arrested Tino Rodriguez. Both Rodriguez and Ochoa were on the U.S. Marshals Service’s “New Mexico’s Most Wanted’ as Gang affiliated Fugitives. Ochoa has been a fugitive from justice since May after his probation was revoked for allegedly stabbing a person in Artesia, NM and Rodriguez was wanted by New Mexico Probation and Parole since September of 2010.


July 16, 2011 - The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force (FRFTF) announces the arrest of two South Florida fugitives and the recovery of two abducted children in the early morning hours of July 16. FRFTF members received an urgent late night call last night from the U.S. Marshals in West Palm Beach in regards to the possible location of two missing juveniles.


July 15, 2011 - U.S. Marshal Albert Najera, of the Eastern District of California, announced today that the U.S. Marshals Central Valley Joint Fugitive Task Force arrested 27 year old Dareus Timrell Dawson in Fairfield, California.  Dawson had been sought by the St. Louis County Police Department in Missouri for murder from March 29th of this year.


July 15, 2011 - United States Marshals Service Deputies in the District of New Mexico arrested Anthony Deon Hodge. Hodge is wanted by the Bakersfield California Police Department on charges of attempted murder, shooting at an occupied motor vehicle, discharge of firearm from a vehicle at a person, and participating in a street gang.


July 15, 2011 - Members from the United States Marshals Service South East Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Jesse Sosa. Sosa is one of The Marshals Service District of New Mexico’s Most Wanted Violent Fugitives. On October 15, 2010, Jesse Sosa was to be sentenced in a New Mexico District Court for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.


July 15, 2011 - Justin William Durbin was arrested on Trousdale Road in Sulphur after at least two high-speed chases and a multi-jurisdictional manhunt.  Durbin was Wanted by the following agencies: Pima County Sheriff’s Office in Arizona, Baton Rouge PD, Mt. Pleasant PD / South Carolina, Collier County Sheriff’s Office / Naples, Florida, Lafayette PD, Virginia Beach PD, Escambia County Sheriff’s Office / Pensacola, Florida, Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office / Noblesville, Indiana, and Prince Georges County Sheriff’s Office / Maryland.  The charges range from Probation Violation, Grand Theft Auto, Larceny, Burglary, and Fraud.


July 15, 2011 - The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force sponsored by the United States Marshals Service is announcing the arrest of Carlos Mireles Jr. Mireles has previous arrests for drug possession, resisting and evading arrest, burglary of a vehicle, family violence, assault causing bodily injury, injury to a child/elderly/disable with intent to cause bodily harm. In October 2010, Carlos Mireles was arrested for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child.


July 13, 2011 - Ronny (or Ronnie) Stutes was arrested this afternoon just before 1:00 p.m. outside a restaurant in Lafayette by the U.S. Marshals Violent Offender Task Force (VOTF). Stutes was Wanted by the Ft. Wright Police Department in Kentucky for a bank robbery (2nd Degree Robbery) that occurred on June 15, 2011. Also, Stutes was running from a Parole Violation in Kentucky.


July 13, 2011 -  The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force (FRFTF) today announced the arrest of thirty year old Marquez Cornelius Vaughn of Opelika, Alabama at an apartment complex located in Tallahassee, FL. Vaughn was currently being sought by the Opelika Police Department and the US Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force in Montgomery, Alabama on charges of 1st Degree Robbery and 2nd Degree Assault.


July 12, 2011 - John Everett Fitch, III was apprehended last night at a local motel in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico by the Tamaulipas Ministry of Public Safety and quickly turned over to Mexican Immigration authorities. Judicial authorities in Nuevo Laredo determined that Fitch had no legal status to remain in Mexico and was expelled shortly after midnight at the Port of Entry to the welcoming handcuffs of the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force in Laredo, Texas. Fitch was charged with failing to appear last month after he fled from his own jury trial in San Marcos, Texas. Fitch was charged with Indecency with a Child.


July 12, 2011 - Ernesto Hinojos was arrested yesterday without incident by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force. Hinojos was the target of an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force investigation and was subsequently indicted by a federal grand jury for his role in a Conspiracy, alleging his possession with intent to distribute approximately 3000 pounds of marijuana and over 5 kilograms of cocaine.


July 12, 2011 - The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force (FRFTF) has found violent fugitives hiding in every conceivable way; underneath clothes in the closet, in attic crawl spaces, inside the trunks of cars, walls, clothes dressers and yes even inside refrigerators. However, when members of the FRFTF responded to 509 Magnolia Drive this morning in an attempt to locate Deon Dorsey, Dorsey added a new wrinkle to what these fugitive investigators have seen. Deon Dorsey, a 20 year old citizen of Tallahassee, was currently being sought by the Tallahassee Police Department on charges of Domestic Battery by Strangulation.


July 11, 2011 - The U.S. Marshals along with Wisconsin Department of Corrections Sex Offender Registry Program, and the Barron, Sawyer, and Rusk County Sheriff’s Departments conducted a residence verification operation for registered sex offenders in these three counties. On June 28th and 29th deputies checked the addresses of 118 registered sex offenders.


July 08, 2011 - 15 Most Wanted Addition - The U.S. Marshals have added a convicted child molester to their 15 Most Wanted fugitive list.  Richard Carl Heeringa is wanted in Colorado by the Douglas County Sheriff's Office and the U.S. Marshals led Fugitive Location and Apprehension Group Task Force. Following a two-week trial in April 2010, a jury found Heeringa guilty of 17 counts of sexual assault on a child by a person in a position of trust and failure to register as a sex offender. He is facing more than 500 years in prison.


July 08, 2011 - Deputy United States Marshals extradited international fugitive Carlos Alberto Carpio-Morales, to Albuquerque, NM, from Mexico City, Mexico. Carpio-Morales had been a fugitive from justice since 2007. Carpio-Morales wanted on outstanding felony warrants for Attempted Murder, Child Abuse, Kidnapping, Aggravated Assault on a Household Member (Deadly Weapon), and Battery on a Household Member.


July 08, 2011 - Wanted fugitive William Neal was arrested this morning at approximately 11:30 am in Cleveland, Ohio. Neal was wanted by the Cleveland police Department on charges of two counts of felonious assault shooting and one count of aggravated robbery. Neal was the primary suspect in two different shootings that have recently taken place on Cleveland’s east side.


July 08, 2011 - Patrick George was arrested last night in Valdosta, Georgia by the U.S. Marshals in Albany with critical assistance from the Narcotics section of the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office. George was arrested pursuant to Louisiana Revised Statute 14:130, Obstruction of Justice. George is a suspect in the homicide investigation that was initiated after Cory Nicholas Sonnier was found murdered in Lake Martin on June 24, 2011.


July 07, 2011 - 15 Most Wanted Addition - The U.S. Marshals have added a suspected murderer to their 15 Most Wanted fugitive list. Beacher Ferrel Hackney is wanted in Hot Springs, Va., for the premeditated murders of two co-workers. Hackney, 61, was employed as a janitor at the Homestead Resort. Hackney, known to be a loner, was reportedly upset with two of his supervisors, Dwight Kerr and Ronnie Stinnett, for taking him off night shift and putting him on the busier dinner shift.


July 07, 2011 - U.S. Marshal Albert Najera, of the Eastern District of California, announced today that the U.S. Marshals Central Valley Joint Fugitive Task Force (CVJFTF) arrested Charles Hattabaugh and Darren Hamilton. On July 05, 2011, California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation Parole Agents, long time participants of the U.S. Marshals CVJFTF, assisted the California Highway Patrol (CHP) Kern County Auto Theft Taskforce (KERN-CATT) in serving a search warrant at a location in Bakersfield, CA. The search warrant was the result of an auto theft investigation.


July 07, 2011 - Arthur Jeffrey Martinez, of Midland, was arrested last night by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force without incident in north Austin. Martinez was sought by Midland authorities after Martinez was identified as a shooter in a June 30th incident whereby Martinez was alleged to have discharged multiple rounds at a vehicle subsequent to a verbal altercation. Martinez discharged his weapon from within his vehicle towards the victim sending the vehicle out of control after the driver was hit.


July 05, 2011 - Major Adam Benoit was arrested by members of the U.S. Marshals Violent Offender Task Force with critical assistance from the Louisiana State Police, Intelligence Division at a Lake Charles area Casino at about 12:45 a.m. Saturday. Benoit was arrested on a provisional arrest warrant seeking his extradition from the United States to Costa Rica. The warrant was signed in the Western District of Louisiana on charges stemming from a June 2, 2010, armed robbery that allegedly occurred in Heredia, Costa Rica.


July 01, 2011 - On July 1, 2011, a team of law enforcement officers made up of United States Marshals, NM State Police, and Dona Ana County Sheriffs, arrested two escaped prisoners in the 900 block of Ella Mae in Vado, NM. On June 29, 2011, Jesus Loera and Joshua Hernandez escaped from the custody of the John Paul Taylor Center in Las Cruces, NM.


July 01, 2011 - U.S. Marshal Albert Najera, of the Eastern District of California, announced today that the U.S. Marshals Central Valley Joint Fugitive Task Force (CVJFTF) arrested Mitchell Dennis Knox.  On June 30, 2011, the Joint Support Operations Center (JSOC), in ATF Headquarters, received information about the possible whereabouts of Mitchell Knox who was a fugitive from Operation Woodchuck.  This was a year-long investigation that included an undercover ATF agent infiltrating a group of criminals who were selling illegal firearms and narcotics in the San Fernando Valley.  During the course of the investigation, ATF undercover agents purchased stolen firearms, machine guns and silencers.  Other agencies participating in Operation Woodchuck were the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR), Office of Correctional Safety-Special Service Unit (CDCR-SSU), and the Los Angeles Police Department. 


July 01, 2011 - A Tattnall County man wanted for a 1995 Escape in North Carolina was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, the Tattnall County Sheriff’s Department, the Reidsville Police Department, and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation on June 30, 2011.  Manuel Hrneith, aka Alfredo Arrieta Urieta, was wanted by the North Carolina Department of Corrections for Escape.  The Escape occurred in May of 1995 from the New Hanover Correctional Center, in Wilmington, North Carolina.  Hrneith was convicted in August of 1991 for Murder in the Second Degree, Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury, and Armed Robbery.  Hrneith was sentenced to eighteen years in prison.


June 30, 2011 - 15 Most Wanted Capture - The U.S. Marshals Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested in Los Angeles Wednesday morning a suspected drug kingpin wanted on a 2005 open indictment from the New Mexico U.S. District Court for conspiracy to distribute controlled substances, continuing criminal enterprise and conspiracy to launder money. Keith Hasson, who was added June 6 to the “15 Most Wanted” fugitive list, was arrested without incident.


June 29, 2011 - The United States Marshals Service in the Southern District of Ohio, the Greene County Sheriff's Office, Ohio Adult Parole Authority, Greene County Adult Probation Department, Xenia Police Department, Beavercreek Police Department and the Fairborn Police Department conducted a joint law enforcement compliance operation designed to verify the current residences of offenders living in Greene County, Ohio.


June 29, 2011 - 15 Most Wanted fugitive, Keith Hasson, was arrested in the 22,000 block of Victory in Canoga, California. Starting in 2005, the United States Marshals Service Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force in California has worked with Deputy Marshals from Albuquerque, N.M. to investigate and apprehend federal fugitive Keith Hasson. Hasson had a Federal warrant from a 2005 indictment from the U.S. District Court in New Mexico for conspiracy to distribute controlled substances, continuing criminal enterprise and conspiracy to launder money.


June 28, 2011 - The McClain County Sheriff’s Office contacted the U.S. Marshals to request immediate assistance following the escape of Shaun Bosse, who was wanted for triple murder of his girlfriend, her 8-year-old son and 6-year-old daughter in 2008.  Bosse had allegedly stabbed the girlfriend and son and then set fire to the trailer where the girl slept.  Bosse had overpowered a jailer, stolen a vehicle, cell phone, and flashlight and had been unaccounted for several hours.  The stolen vehicle was located, abandoned, and police received a confirmed sighting at a local retail store here where the subject grew up and still has family in the area.  The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force responded and began interviewing family members and childhood friends who continued to discuss a local pond where Bosse would camp and play as a child. Through the investigation this area was located and a field search was started by the task force.  After walking for approximately 30 minutes, a white male matching the description of Bosse was observed near a pond.  Bosse was taken into custody and transported to the command post without incident.


June 23, 2011 - William Cook was arrested by Deputy United States Marshals in Buffalo, Minnesota on Wednesday, June 22, 2011.  Cook was a District of New Mexico fugitive who failed to appear for his sentencing May 23, 2011 after being convicted of 16 counts of Sexual Exploitation of Children including distribution, manufacturing and Possession of Child Pornography.


June 23, 2011 - On June 21, 2011, the US Marshals Service for the District of New Mexico received Information from Deputy Marshals in Arizona requesting assistance in locating and apprehending convicted sex offender Andrew Moore, also know as Andrew Smith. The subject was wanted for two felony arrest warrants issued out of Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office for Probation Violations, issued on March 31, 2008 and Failure to Register as a Sex Offender, issued on August 13, 2099. Moore pled guilty on February 14, 2001 to Attempted Sexual Contact with a Minor and received a sentence of 12 months and Lifetime Probation to follow.  Moore is required to register as a sex offender for the remainder of his life. 


June 23, 2011 - On June 17th, 2011, the United States Marshals Service (USMS) Central District of California (C/CA) Sex Offender Investigator Coordinator (SOIC), Sex Offender Investigator Branch (SOIB), the Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force (PSWRFTF) and USMS Special Response Team (SRT) in conjunction with the California Department of Corrections (Parole), Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) REACT K-9 Unit, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department participated in “Operation Safe House.”


June 23, 2011 - Kenneth Andrew Craig was arrested Tuesday by Brazilian Federal Police at Galeo International Airport. Craig, 42, was being sought by Florida authorities pursuant to arrest warrants issued in 1999 by the Broward County Sheriff’s Office on charges of sexual exploitation of a minor, sex performance with a minor and sexual assault of a minor.


June 23, 2011 -  U.S. Marshal Albert Najera, of the Eastern District of California, announced today that the U.S. Marshals Service Central Valley Joint Fugitive Task Force (CVJFTF) arrested Keyon Womack. This fugitive was wanted by the Bakersfield Police Department for Attempted Homicide and Gang Participation; bail amount was set at $1,500,000. Womack was also a California Youth Authority (CYA) Parolee at Large.


June 23, 2011 - The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force from Pensacola arrested a sexual predator wanted by the Florida State Parole Commission who cut his monitoring bracelet off and allegedly stole his employer’s vehicle and fled to the DeFuniak Springs area before being arrested in Florala, Al late yesterday afternoon.  On June 7, Richard Hudson, who had been on supervised release for his prior conviction of three counts of sexual battery by threat or force, cut off his monitoring device and fled Orange County, FL.


June 22, 2011 - Brian Anthony Engleton was arrested on Friday, June 17, by the El Paso Police Department (EPPD) and the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force without incident.  Engleton was sought for the alleged murder of his wife by the EPPD. The previous day, Engleton was engaged in a physical confrontation with his wife Deidre Engleton outside of her locally owned beauty salon. Deidre later succumbed to multiple stab wounds in the chest and neck area at William Beaumont Army Medical Center.


June 21, 2011 - Two former strip clubs in Seattle will be sold via a U.S. Marshals auction June 29 at 2 p.m. The auction for both properties will take place on site at the former “Rick’s Nightclub,” 11332 Lake City Way NE, Seattle. June 18, 2011 - An intense manhunt has ended with the capture of John Boulachanis, a fugitive wanted on an international level. Boulachanis is the subject of an INTERPOL Red Notice issued at the request of Canadian authorities for his role in a brutal slaying that occurred in Quebec, Canada, in 1997. Boulachanis was also being sought by Canadian law enforcement for criminal charges of fraud, arson, narcotics trafficking, conspiracy and weapons offenses.


June 16, 2011 - Brian Stacy, a resident of Los Alamos, NM was arrested Wednesday June 15, on charges that he allegedly threatened U.S. District Judge John E. Conway. Stacy allegedly sent a series of threatening e-mails to Judge Conway and was arrested in a joint operation involving the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the United States Marshals Service and the United States Attorney’s Office.


June 16, 2011 - On Wednesday, June 15, 2011, the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) arrested Jeffrey Boop in a remote, wooded location south of Montandon, Pennsylvania. On April 27, 2011, the United States Attorney’s Office in the Middle District of Pennsylvania filed criminal charges against Boop. He was charged in a one-count Information with possession of child pornography. The information also charged that Boop has a prior conviction in Florida relating to sexual abuse and abusive sexual conduct involving a minor.


June 16, 2011 - Yesterday afternoon, Deputy U.S. Marshals and Task Force Officers assigned to the Arizona WANTED Violent Offender Task Force arrested Terrence Cram at a residence in the area of Yuma Rd and Sarival Ave in Goodyear. Cram was wanted by the Kentucky State Police for Murder. It is alleged that in January 2011 Cram used a blunt object, striking the 49 year old female victim in the head, which resulted in her death.


June 11, 2011 - The U.S. Marshals Service arrested Haywood Devonne Bolton, III – wanted for the 1996 killing of a Marshals Service employee – Friday in Spartanburg, South Carolina. On Oct. 15, 1996, Hiram “Bill” Morrical, a U.S. Marshals Service information technology employee, was killed during an armed robbery attempt while checking into a Shreveport, La., hotel with his wife during a business trip.


June 10, 2011 - 15 Most Wanted Addition - The U.S. Marshals have added a suspected child killer to their 15 Most Wanted fugitive list. Simon Lopez is wanted for the murder of a 1-year-old child. Lopez, 26, has been charged in Tyler, Texas, with capital murder and assault.


June 10, 2011 - On June 9th the U.S. Marshals Service, along with partnering agencies, concluded Operation Sparrow Hawk. The three day operation started June 7, and resulted in the arrest of 34 state and federal fugitives with charges including: Murder, Rape, Shooting at a Dwelling, Burglary, Trafficking Meth, Strong Armed Robbery, Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Great Bodily harm with a vehicle.


June 10, 2011 - On Thursday, June 9, 2011, the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) arrested Robert G. Henry in Lurgan Township, Franklin County, Pennsylvania. Henry was being sought by the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office on a bench warrant issued May 18, 2011. Henry was charged with failure to appear for sentencing in the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas on charges of Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, Manufacture of a Controlled Substance, Criminal Conspiracy, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.


June 10, 2011 - On Wednesday June 8, 2011 Lincoln and Eddy County Sheriff’s Deputies and U.S. Marshals apprehended two juvenile females suspected of killing their foster mother. At approximately 5:00 am on Wednesday, June 8th Deputies were called to a residence in San Patricio where they discovered the body of Evelyn V. Miranda, 53.


June 09, 2011 - The U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force, with assistance from the Mentor Police Department, was able to locate and arrest fugitive Ronnie Haskins during a vehicle stop on State Route 2 in Mentor, Ohio. Haskins was wanted by the Euclid Police Department for a robbery that occurred on April 19, 2011 at a convenience store on Babbitt Road in Euclid in which he was alleged to viciously beat the store clerk during the robbery.


June 08, 2011 - 15 Most Wanted Addition - The U.S. Marshals have added a suspected wife killer to their 15 Most Wanted fugitive list.  Miguel Torres is wanted in Reading, Pa., for the 2005 execution-style murder of his wife Barbara. Torres has been charged with 1st degree murder.


June 08, 2011 - On May 31st, 2011 the United States Marshals Service along with our local, state and federal partners launched “Operation Derby City Overwatch”.    The operation was one of the largest and most ambitious for the agency to date and a direct result of the Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act.  The goals of the operation were to verify the sex offender registry in Jefferson County, ensure compliance and track down those deemed non-compliant.  While accomplishing this goal, the U.S. Marshals Service partnered with eight other agencies.  They include:  the Louisville Metro Police Department, the Jefferson Co. Sheriff’s Office, Kentucky Probation and Parole, the Kentucky State Police, the United States Secret Service, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Shively Police Department.  Without this collaborative effort, the operation would not have been successful.

The first day, which netted $2.7 million, consisted of 345 lots of fine jewelry, watches, coins and currency that were seized and forfeited from criminal cases throughout the country. On day two, the last remaining personal property belonging to Bernard and Ruth Madoff – 275 lots from the Madoff residences in New York and Palm Beach, Fla. – netted nearly $500,000.


June 06, 2011 - 15 Most Wanted Addition - The U.S. Marshals have added a suspected drug kingpin to their 15 Most Wanted fugitive list.  Keith Hasson is wanted on a 2005 open indictment from the New Mexico U.S. District Court for conspiracy to distribute controlled substances, continuing criminal enterprise and conspiracy to launder money.  Hasson is considered to be the leader of a criminal enterprise responsible for large- scale distribution of cocaine and marijuana throughout the United States. His organization operated from 1999 to 2005, generating more than $20 million in cash and assets.


June 05, 2011 - The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force sponsored by the United States Marshals Service is announcing the arrest of Mark Anthony Gonzalez. Mark Gonzalez was charged by the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) for the capital murder of Bexar County Deputy Sheriff, Kenneth Vann.


June 03, 2011 - A U.S. Marshals online auction of the personal effects of Ted Kaczynski, aka the Unabomber, ended Thursday, raising a total of $232,246. Those proceeds will be used to compensate Kaczynski’s victims. U.S. District Judge Garland Burrell of the Eastern District of California ordered the sale in August 2010.


June 03, 2011 - United States Marshal Genny May, Eastern District of Louisiana, proudly announced that on May 19th District Deputy Marshals and Task Force Officers participated in the 2011 Louisiana Law Enforcement Torch Run.  The group completed a six mile leg of the Torch Run in Jefferson Parish.


June 2, 2011 - U.S. Marshal Albert Najera of the Eastern District of California announced today that the U.S. Marshals Service arrested 21 year old Duane Hicks, and his 25 year old sister Shamia Patterson in Hayward, California.  Hicks and Patterson were both wanted in connection with a carjacking that occurred in Stockton, California in April of this year. During the incident Hicks had a female acquaintance pick him and his sister up and drive them around Stockton. At some point a verbal altercation occurred and Hicks shoved a gun into the victim’s side ordering her out of the vehicle. The victim in a panic could not get out because she was wearing her seatbelt, Hicks then forced her out and stole her 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix. Hicks is also wanted for a 2007 murder in Stockton where Hicks and a associate were believed to be negotiating a drug deal when an argument broke out and the victim was shot multiple times and ended up succumbing to his injuries.


June 02, 2011 - Wanted fugitive Reginald “Ricky” Smith was arrested this morning at approximately 10:50 am. Smith was named as the primary suspect in the shooting incident involving two bail bondsmen in the Collinwood area on Cleveland’s east side two weeks ago. Smith was the intended target of the bondsmen due to the fact that he defaulted on his bond in a state drug case he was charged in.


June 01, 2011 - On Tuesday, May 31, 2011, the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) arrested Justin Enright as he deplaned from a flight arriving at the Charlotte, North Carolina International Airport. Based upon a 2001 conviction for Sexual Abuse of Children in Carlisle, Cumberland County, Enright was required to register as a sex offender. While on parole on this case, and while living in Lower Paxton Township, Dauphin County, images of child pornography were found in Enright’s possession. Investigation of the child pornography was referred to the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Shortly thereafter, Enright went on the run.


June 01, 2011 - U.S. Marshal Albert Najera of the Eastern District of California announced today that the U.S. Marshals Service arrested 32 year old Anatoliy Rudan, a parolee in Cotati, California. On May 12th 2011 Rudan was driving a stolen Audi S5 near the intersection of Elkhorn Blvd. and Watt Ave. when the California Highway Patrol attempted to stop Rudan he fled running red lights at speeds of over 100 mph. CHP lost the suspect vehicle. On May 23rd Rudan led Twin Rivers P.D. in another high speed pursuit before getting away, and again later that night led CHP on a pursuit with reckless abandonment and endangering innocent motorists during his escape.


May 28, 2011 - Early this morning the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force – Richland County Division tracked down wanted federal fugitive, Ronnie Carter. Carter was wanted by the FBI and METRICH (Metro-Richland County) on a September 29, 2010 federal indictment for conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute and to distribute 5 kilograms or more of a mixture or substance containing a detectable amount of cocaine, and 280 grams or more of a mixture or substance containing a detectable amount of cocaine base (crack).


May 27, 2011 - On May 27, 2011, the United States Marshals Service, District of New Mexico, arrested Rafael Perez, in Santa Teresa, NM.   Perez was wanted on an outstanding Federal Probation Violation for Distribution of Marijuana.  Perez is a documented gang member and is known to have ties to the Barrio Azteca Gang in Las Cruces, NM.   Perez has been a fugitive from justice since June 2010.

May 27, 2011 - Early this morning Operation Intercept (OPIN), the U.S. Marshals fugitive apprehension task force, arrested Travis “Baby” Golston at a gas station on Greystone Boulevard in Columbia.  Golston was wanted in connection with five warrants for Grand Larceny of Motor Vehicles and two counts of Criminal Conspiracy stemming from a month long theft spree of vehicles from Lexington Medical Center.


May 27, 2011 - Federal prisoner Ruby Seagraves escaped custody from the Bedford Heights City Jail at approximately 11:45 p.m. last night. Seagraves was being held on federal charges of heroin possession since January 2011. The U.S. Marshals Service was immediately notified and responded to the jail to begin the fugitive investigation.


May 26, 2011 - Kevin A. Carr, United States Marshal for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, announced the completion of a four day sweep that targeted absconders in Milwaukee, Waukesha and Sheboygan Counties. ‘Operation Repeat Offender’ resulted in twenty seven arrests.  The operation focused on parole and probation violators that violated supervision and became fugitives. Offenders with lengthy criminal histories were prioritized. While some individuals with outstanding federal arrest warrants were also included, the focus was on individuals wanted by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.  Investigators began working leads in April of this year in preparation for the sweep that began on May 23rd.


May 25, 2011 - Hector Rolando Rueda was arrested on May 23, 2011 in Las Cruces for an outstanding warrant on an indictment charging him with 2 counts of Criminal Sexual Penetration of a minor under 13 in the First Degree and 4 counts of Criminal Sexual Contact of a Minor under 13 in the Third Degree.


May 24, 2011 - On May 23, 2011 Richard Thyberg, one of the Marshals Service New Mexico’s Most Wanted Gang Offenders was arrested. Thyberg was arrested by the United States Marshals Service Southwest Investigative Fugitive Team (SWIFT) Task Force and the Roswell Police Department in Roswell after Task Force Officers observed Thyberg leaving a residence they had been watching. During Thyberg’s arrest he was found in Possession of a loaded 9mm handgun.


May 23, 2011 - A Savannah man wanted for Armed Robbery was arrested by the United States Marshals Service Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, Savannah Chatham Metropolitan Police Department (SCMPD) Patrol Officers and Garden City K-9 on May 22, 2011. Terry Spencer Simmons, 27, was wanted by the Savannah Chatham Metropolitan Police Department for Armed Robbery.


May 20, 2011 - The United States Marshals Service arrested Jesus Loya in the early evening of May 19, 2011.  Loya was wanted out of Dona Ana County for  Kidnapping (2nd Degree), Criminal Sexual Penetration (2nd Degree), Aggravated Battery against Household Member, Aggravated Assault against Household Member, Bribery or Intimidation of a Witness, and Misdemeanor Battery on a Household Member.  Loya is a confirmed Sureño 13 gang member with an extensive criminal record and was added to the New Mexico Most Wanted list as a Most Wanted Gang Offender only hours before his arrest. 


May 20, 2011 - The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force from Pensacola arrested an Indiana man yesterday who is wanted as the primary suspect in a string of burglaries covering at least five counties in Indiana; where a cache of rifles, handguns electronic equipment jewelry, safes and various other items worth approximately $25,000 were recovered from his home in Corydon, Indiana.  Zachary Taylor Frey led US Marshals, Task Force Officers from Santa Rosa and Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Offices, Ft. Walton Beach Police Department, FDLE and patrol deputies from Santa Rosa County in a lengthy high speed chase leading them through heavy noontime traffic, through rural streets, conducting numerous u-turns and even drove into on-coming traffic.  During the chase, Frey attempted to drive head-on with the law enforcement cars and could be seen smiling taunting the officers as if it were a game.  


May 20, 2011 - 15 Most Wanted Capture - The U.S. Marshals Service announced the capture today in Chicago of a 15 Most Wanted fugitive sought on a number of violent criminal charges stemming from an incident in Las Vegas in August 2007.  Robert Jackson, a 25-year-old gang member, was wanted on a warrant out of Clark County, Nevada, for unlawful flight to avoid prosecution, attempted murder with a deadly weapon, battery with a deadly weapon with substantial bodily harm, battery with a deadly weapon, assault with a deadly weapon, criminal gang and ex-felon possession of a firearm.


May 20, 2011 - 15 Most Wanted Capture - The U.S. Marshals Service today announced the capture Thursday of 15 Most Wanted fugitive Sean Michael Sullivan in Oakland, Calif. U.S. Marshals from the Northern District of California and members of the Pacific South West Regional Task Force located and arrested Sullivan at marijuana grow house in Oakland. The U.S. Marshals worked with the Oakland Police Department to compile information leading to Sullivan’s whereabouts.  “Given his history of deadly violence, it was our highest priority to bring this fugitive to justice before he could claim another victim,” said Director Stacia A. Hylton of the U.S. Marshals Service. “I am greatly appreciative of the extraordinary efforts made by our dedicated men and women in apprehending one of our most wanted fugitives.”


May 19, 2011 - The Office of the Director of the U.S. Marshals Service is pleased to announce that the U.S. Marshals Florida Caribbean Regional Fugitive Task Force (FRFTF), including its Tallahassee Office, received a Director’s Honorary Award today during a ceremony in Arlington, VA. The FRFTF was commended for their part in assisting local and state law enforcement agencies in apprehending Florida’s most violent felons in 2010.


May 18, 2011 - The United States Marshals Service in Albuquerque, New Mexico auctioned off over 22 seized vehicles. The vehicles were seized by local and federal agencies and the proceeds will help support law enforcement activities in the Albuquerque area.


May 18, 2011 - U.S. Marshal Albert Najera of the Eastern District of California announced today that the U.S. Marshals Service arrested 48 year old Franklin Patrom in Nevada City, California.  In February 2002 the Greene County Sheriff’s Office out of Missouri issued an arrest warrant for Patrom on three counts of First Degree Statutory Sodomy and one count of Child Molestation of a 9 year old Minor.  Patrom fled Missouri before his warrant was issued.  On May 16th 2011 the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office contacted the Southern Missouri Fugitive Task Force (SMFT) with information regarding Patrom.  The SMFT contacted Deputy U.S. Marshals in Sacramento for assistance in locating Patrom.  Investigation by the Central Valley Fugitive Task Force (CVJFTF) placed Patrom at a residence in Nevada City. 


May 18, 2011 - Calvin Henderson of Winona, TX was arrested early this morning without incident by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force.  Henderson was arrested at approximately 6:30 a.m., in Caldwell, Texas in rural Burleson County. Task Forces officers were made aware of Henderson’s presence by the Joint East Texas Fugitive Task Force in Tyler after information received in Tyler indicated Henderson had fled the Tyler area after he became aware of recent warrants for violating his requirement to register as a sex offender.  Henderson’s failure to comply with his registration requirement, a condition of parole after he was released from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, subsequently caused state authorities to issue the parole warrant. 


May 18, 2011 - Operation Intercept (OPIN) the U.S. Marshals led fugitive apprehension task force arrested three fugitives within the last 24 hours stemming from requests from the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force (SRFTF) in GA, Capital Area Task Force (CARTF) in Washington, DC, and the Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force (FRFTF) in Gainesville, FL.


May 16, 2011 - Domoneik Antwan Washington was arrested today by a coalition of law enforcement officials in Charleston and Virginia alike. Washington is charged by the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office with one count of murder and two counts of attempted murder. Washington is charged with having shot several individuals, who were alleged to have been in a rival gang, at a Folly Road gas station in March, where one victim perished as a result of the shooting.


May 16, 2011 - The U.S. Marshals Service will be auctioning 22 vehicles, all of which were used in the facilitation of illegal activities or purchased with proceeds from illegal activities, on Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Albuquerque. May 13, 2011 - Students from McDonough City Park Academy, who expressed careers in law or law enforcement, visited the Eastern District of Louisiana United States Marshals Office in New Orleans, LA.  The students spent the morning with District Deputies learning about a typical day in the life of a Deputy U.S. Marshal and attorneys who practice within the Federal courthouse. The students were welcomed to the District and given an overview of the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) by Chief Deputy U.S. Marshal Steven Hartman.


May 13, 2011 - Vern E. Houston, of Corpus Christi, was arrested last night without incident by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in Austin, TX.  Houston, a registered sex offender and transient was recently placed on the Nueces County Sheriff’s Office, Top 10 Most Wanted. Houston was wanted for a series of burglaries in the Nueces County area. Information provided to the Austin based task force indicated Houston was traveling with a carnival that recently arrived in Austin.


May 13, 2011 - The U.S. Marshals located and apprehended Carlos Luis Pinelas-Mejia in San Juan de la Maguana, Dominican Republic.  Pinelas-Mejia has been wanted in connection for the alleged homicide of Amber Marie Schiavone since January 2008.  Pinelas-Mejia lived in the Cherry Grove Apartments in Rock Hill where the victim’s body was discovered. 


May 12, 2011 - The United States Marshals Service (USMS) arrested Alexander Aquilino Alvalle – formerly of Steelton, Dauphin County – in Staten Island, New York. On March 29, 2005, Alvalle was convicted of Aggravated Indecent Assault against a minor victim in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania.


May 12, 2011 - The personal effects of Ted Kaczynski, aka the Unabomber, will be sold via an online auction by the U.S. Marshals beginning May 18. U.S. District Judge Garland Burrell of the Eastern District of California ordered the sale in August 2010. Proceeds from the auction will be used to compensate Kaczynski’s victims.


May 11, 2011 - U.S. Marshals Service Deputies and the Taos Police Department arrested Brad A. DeJesus. On 6/21/2005, in the U.S. District Court of New Mexico, DeJesus pled guilty to Sexual Abuse of a Minor (Crime on Indian Country) after having sexual intercourse with a 13 year old girl, and was sentenced to serve 2 years probation.


May 10, 2011 - On May 7, 2011, leads came in from Orlando, Florida to the United States Marshals in Southern Ohio concerning the possible whereabouts of a wanted non-compliant sex offender.  The sex offender, Jaime Lebel (aka Jamie Lebel), age 41, a sex offender who in 2001, pled guilty to two counts of Lewd or Lascivious Molestation of a minor and served six years in prison and additional time in jail for probation violation, had fled Florida in violation of his registration requirements and was believed to be hiding out in Southern Ohio.


May 09, 2011 - Nearly five tons of bulk gold and silver jewelry, valued at approximately $50 million, will be sold via sealed bid by the U.S. Marshals May 17. The bulk lot of jewelry consists of more than 40,000 troy ounces of mixed-karat gold jewelry and more than 100,000 troy ounces of silver jewelry. Registration for the auction is open until Friday and requires a $100,000 refundable deposit. Previews of the bulk lot will take place in Texas on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, by appointment only, for registered bidders.


May 06, 2011 - The United States Marshals Service has added a new Asset Forfeiture Criminal Investigator to the District of New Mexico’s ability to interrupt financial gains achieved through illegal activity. The new Asset Forfeiture Criminal Investigator will work in the District of New Mexico under the direction of the United States Marshals Service’s Asset Forfeiture Division.

April 30, 20111 - On Friday, April 29, 2011, the United States Marshals Service arrested Arthur James Wire III in York, PA for violating the Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act of 2006. On July 6, 1984, Wire was convicted of Indecent Assault in York County, PA. And, on November 12, 1985 Wire was convicted of Indecent Assault and Corruption of Minors in York County, PA.

April 28, 2011 - Kevin Lee Sam was arrested inside an apartment located Lafayette, LA. Sam is Wanted by the Sunset Police Department and St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office for 1st Degree Murder. The murder occurred on March 27th; in early April St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office requested the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Violent Offender Task Force (VOTF).

Jones announces the arrest of Thomas Grantham and James Cross Jr. by the Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST).  Grantham, 35 years of age, and Cross Jr., 32 years of age, are wanted for Murder and Attempted Murder based on charges in West Virginia.


April 27, 2011 - The U.S. Marshals New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force is pleased to announce the arrest of Brandon Legere, 29, of Manchester, NH. Members of the taskforce, Manchester Police Department, and the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Department participated in the arrest. Legere was wanted for violating the conditions of his supervised release while on probation.


April 27, 2011 - Henry Martin Gunnells, Jr. was arrested by the U.S. Marshals led fugitive task force, Operation Intercept (OPIN), before sunrise off of Pooles Mill Road in Swansea, SC.  Gunnells was sought by the Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office for Assault & Battery High & Aggravated Nature.

April 26, 20111 - Deputy United States Marshals returned from Mexico City with Jesus Joaquin Arredondo-Soto a suspect in the murder of a woman and her infant child, demonstrating that the long arm of the United States Marshals Service Southwest Investigative Fugitive Team (SWIFT) reaches to international hiding places.. He was retrieved by the United States Marshals Service under a federal crime-fighting initiative.


April 22, 2011 - The last of three escapees from the Luna County Detention Center, Mario Martinez-Rios, was arrested this evening in Deming, NM. "This intensive investigation spanned three states, until Deputy U.S. Marshals in Denver Colorado developed information that led our Deputy Marshals and SWIFT Task Force Officers right to a residence in Deming, NM" said, Conrad Candelaria, United States Marshal for the District of New Mexico.


April 22, 2011 -  On April 20, 2011, convicted sex offender Bruce Crousser was arrested at the American Legion Restaurant, located in Los Alamos, NM, by the Los Alamos Sheriff’s Department and members of the Southwest Investigative Fugitive Team (SWIFT) Task Force.  Crousser was wanted by the U.S. Marshals Service, for Failing to Register as a Sex Offender.


April 21, 2011 - The Hawaii Adam Walsh Task Force led by U.S. Marshal Deputies along with Hawaii State Sheriff Deputies located and apprehended 52 year-old Celso Rodriguez-Huerta without incident at a residence in Honolulu. Rodriguez-Huerta was wanted pursuant to a Tarrant County Texas arrest warrant for aggravated sexual assault of a child.


April 20, 2011 - A fugitive wanted on an outstanding federal charge for drug conspiracy has been arrested by a team of law enforcement officers led by U.S. Marshals. On Tuesday, April 19, 2011, U.S. Marshal Deputies along with Maui Police Department Officers, Maui Sheriff Deputies apprehended Brackston W. Moores without incident at Sprecklesville Beach in Paia.


April 20, 2011 - The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force captured a Pensacola man who walked out of a hospital in late November last year right before he was to be arrested by Pensacola Police Department on charges of Assault on an Officer, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Resisting an Officer with Violence and Possession of Marijuana over 20 Grams. Anthony Michael Smith was arrested without incident at the Fairway Villas Apartment Complex off of Michigan Avenue.


April 20, 2011 - Wanted fugitive Thomas Allen, age 38, was arrested last evening at approximately 9:50 p.m. in New Castle, Pennsylvania. Allen, who is no stranger to the justice system, was wanted by the U.S. Marshals, and the Lake County Sheriff’s Office on charges of 2 counts attempted murder, 2 counts aggravated burglary, 2 counts felonious assault and tampering with evidence.


April 19, 2011 - The United States Marshals Service in still actively seeking the apprehension of the third federal inmate who escaped from the Luna County Detention Center on April 17, 2011. Escapee Mario Martinez-Rios, 12/21/1980 is still at large and wanted in connection with his escape and to appear in Federal Court on his original Illegal entry into the United States Charge.


April 18, 2011 - On April 17 at approximately 8:30pm the United States Marshals Service was advised by the Luna County Detention Center that 3 federal inmates had escaped. The three inmates were Alberto Grijalba-Murillo, 09/09/1971, Julio Mendoza-Acosta, 05/30/1960 and Mario Martinez-Rios, 12/21/1980. Initial reports say the three inmates escaped through a hole in a perimeter fence at the facility.


April 14, 2011 - Alfonda Jamison, AKA: “Big Al” of Orangeburg, SC was arrested by Operation Intercept, the U.S. Marshals fugitive led task force at 788 Sprinkle Avenue on Wednesday April 13. Jamison was sought on a Federal Arrest Warrant for Conspiracy to Distribute Cocaine and Marijuana.


April 14, 2011 - Anthony Joseph Jennings AKA: “Tony” was taken into custody on Wednesday April 13, 2011 by Operation Intercept, the U.S. Marshals fugitive led task force at a Tire Shop located on North Kings Hwy.  Jennings is a suspect in four bank robberies that have occurred in the Myrtle Beach area since February.  The most recent bank robbery occurred at the BB&T on Hwy. 501 in Conway, SC on April 4. 


April 14, 2011 - A luxury estate in Tulsa, Okla., that belonged to convicted fraudster George David Gordon will be auctioned by a U.S. Marshals contractor April 20 at 5 p.m. EDT. The auction will take place “on the lawn” and simultaneously on the Web. The 19-room property at 10726 S. Lakewood Ave., Tulsa, Okla., is valued in the millions and has a starting bid of $250,000.


April 13, 2011 – Earlier this week, U.S. Marshals were notified that 2 of the fugitives on New Mexico’s Most Wanted were apprehended.  Jose Arriola-Tirado, 30, has been a fugitive from justice for over a year.  Arriola-Tirado was indicted after the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) served a warrant on his Farmington home.  Throughout the investigation agents confiscated over 300 grams of methamphetamine, a hand gun, and over $5,000 in cash from Arriola-Tirado.  After the indictment, Arriola-Tirado fled the country before he could be arrested.  Jose Arriola-Tirado was added as one of the U. S. Marshals Service, District of New Mexico’s Most Wanted for the Farmington area.


April 08, 2011 -  U.S. Marshal Genny May announced that a graduation ceremony was held on Friday, April 08, 2011, for 3rd and 5th grade students from the Arthur Ashe Charter School in uptown New Orleans. The students recently completed the Eastern District of Louisiana United States Marshals Service sponsored Gang Resistance Education and Training (G.R.E.A.T) Program. The 3rd and 5th graders completed structured six and thirteen week curriculums, respectively.


April 8, 2011 - Kevin A. Carr, United States Marshal for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, and Brad Gehring, Outagamie County Sheriff, announced the completion of a multi-jurisdictional operation that targeted non-compliant sex offenders.  "Operation Out in the Cold’ started in late January of this year when deputy U.S. marshals, Outagamie County detectives and Wisconsin sex offender registry specialists conducted a 100 percent compliance check of all registered sex offenders residing in Outagamie County. These compliance checks were conducted with the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry to ensure that offenders were actually residing where they were registered.  The operation culminated over the last several days with the arrests of seven registrants who were not residing where they were supposed to be, or had outstanding warrants charging them with Failure to Register.


April 07, 2011 - A Savannah man wanted on multiple state warrants to include Contempt of Court and Aggravated Assault, and a Federal warrant for Possession with Intent to Distribute Crack Cocaine was arrested by the United States Marshals Service Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force and the Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department (SCMPD) K-9. Marion Maurice Fields was wanted by the Chatham County Sheriff’s Department for Contempt of Court on various traffic related charges including no insurance.


April 01, 2011 - In the last three months the U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force Task Force has located and arrested about a half dozen Escambia County Sex Offenders locally and in numerous other states. Recently, the Escambia County Sheriff's Department requested assistance from the Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force in locating wanted absconded sex offenders from the Pensacola area. These offenders had not registered and had been on the run for several years.


April 01, 2011 - U.S. Marshal Albert Najera of the Eastern District of California announced today that the U.S. Marshals Service arrested Cecil Clarence Billings in Brownsville, Yuba County, California. Billings had been sought by the Department of Homeland Security on a Federal warrant in January 2011 for possession with intent to distribute marijuana and hashish.


March 30, 2011 - The United States Marshals Service (USMS) announces the arrest of Steven M. James (AKA Steven Mell), a fugitive wanted in Spokane, Washington on an outstanding probation warrant issued in 1983. James, 59, was sentenced to probation as the result of a 1983 conviction for attempted indecent liberties with a child under the age of 14.


March 30, 2011 - A Savannah man wanted on multiple warrants to include Probation Violation and Sex Offender Registration Violation was arrested by the Macon Office of the United States Marshals Service Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force.  Roy Steven Smith, 52, was wanted by the Chatham County Sheriff’s Department as their Most Wanted Sex Offender.


March 29, 2011 - The United States Marshals Service South West Investigative Fugitive Team (SWIFT Taskforce) in Albuquerque arrested Tommy “TJ” McIlvain Jr. McIlvain has been a fugitive from justice since October 2006. McIlvain was arrested in 2006 after a robbery investigation led the Torrance County Sheriff’s office to a location where Methamphetamines were being manufactured.  McIlvain was placed under arrest but was able to escape from the back of a Torrance County Sheriff Deputy’s patrol car. McIlvain is believed to have fled New Mexico and hid out in Arizona, Illinois and Michigan. McIlvain’s criminal charges include Escape from the custody of a Peace Officer, Aggravated Fleeing a Law Enforcement Officer, Trafficking a Controlled Substance (Meth), Aggravated Burglary, Breaking and Entering, Larceny of Firearm (5 counts) and Contributing to the delinquency of a minor.


March 26, 2011 - U.S. Marshal Cathy Jones announces  the arrest of David Conrad Buelow , a sex offender from Dayton, Ohio who was wanted on outstanding warrants for federal violations of the Adam Walsh Act. Buelow, age 62, was being sought on a warrant issued by the Federal Court in San Diego for a violation of the Adam Walsh Act after he fled Dayton, Ohio area in violation of his state sex offender registration requirements.


March 25, 2011 - U.S. Marshal Cathy Jones of the Southern District of Ohio announces the arrest of Ryan Hubbard, 32, of Miramar, Florida. Hubbard was wanted by the Bal Harbour, Florida Police Department for his alleged involvement in the attempted murder of two patrons of Carpaccio’s Restaurant that occurred in the affluent community of Bal Harbour, Florida on March 22, 2011. 


March 25, 2011 - U.S. Marshal Cathy Jones and Montgomery County Sheriff Phil Plummer announce  the arrest of Kenneth Wade Rachal, a sex offender wanted on outstanding warrants for federal violations of the Adam Walsh Act. Rachal was arrested in Cancun Mexico after getting off a plane flight from France by Mexican Federal Police and U.S. Marshals assigned to the Mexico field office.


March 24, 2011 - Officers of the Cambridge Police Department arrested Justin Blachowski at a residence in Cambridge, Ohio. Blachowski was wanted for aggravated robbery by the Mansfield Police Department.  Just this week, Blachowski was placed on the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force’s most wanted “Dangerous Dozen” and yesterday the Mansfield News Journal ran an article on Blachowski. As a result of the wanted article the Task Force received numerous tips concerning Blachowski’s whereabouts.


March 24, 2011 - United States Marshal Mark Ericks announces the arrest of Carlos Vidal Guiterrez for homicide.  Deputy United States Marshals from the Pacific Northwest Fugitive Apprehension Task Force (PNWFAT) from the Western District of Washington, along with US Marshals Service task force personnel from the Eastern District of California and the Northern District of California arrested Guiterrez this afternoon near the city of Hollister, Calif.  He was taken into custody without incident and booked into jail.  Guiterrez is believed responsible for the shooting which resulted in the death of a person outside of a business in Centralia, Washington, in 1986.


March 23, 2011 - The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force today announced the arrest of Lyndell Davis, 48, of Tallahassee, Florida for the offenses of Armed Kidnapping, Armed Sexual Assault, and Armed Robbery on a Miami Police Department case dating back to 1988. Miami Dade Police Detectives made the connection on the unsolved case involving the kidnapping, rape, and robbery of a 16 year old female after receiving a DNA match for Davis through the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Combined DNA Index System.


March 22, 2011 - Acting U.S. Marshal Martin J. Pane announced today the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) arrested Harold Hoskins in Williamsport. Hoskins was being sought on a bench warrant issued February 21, 2007 by Lycoming County Court of Common Pleas Judge William S. Kieser. The warrant, held by the Lycoming County Sheriffs Office, charged Hoskins with Failure to Appear for sentencing in the Lycoming County Courthouse.


March 22, 2011 - One day after the United States Marshals Service in Albuquerque added Lorenzo Coriz to their New Mexico’s Most Wanted List, Coriz turned himself in. Coriz a convicted sex offender turned himself in at the Sandoval County Detention Center just hours after seeing himself on the news.  “This is a prime example of how the Marshals Service, Local law enforcement and the media working together on the New Mexico’s Most Wanted Program allows us to apprehend fugitives quickly and effectively” said United States Marshal Conrad Candelaria.


March 21, 2011 - 15 Most Wanted Capture - Jessica Tata, a U.S. Marshals 15 Most Wanted Fugitive, arrived at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta shortly after 5:00 a.m. on a flight from Lagos International Airport in Lagos, Nigeria. Tata was captured Saturday in Port Harcourt, Nigeria by Interpol and U.S. Department of State Diplomatic Security agents. In February, Tata, who owned and operated Jackie’s Day Care in Houston, allegedly left the premises leaving seven children alone in the house with a pot of oil on a burning stove resulting in a deadly fire.


March 21, 2011- The United States Marshals Service in New Mexico adds a new sexual offender to their Most Wanted List. Lorenzo Coriz (37) is wanted on a Federal Probation Violation. Coriz was convicted in 2007 for abusive sexual contact on Indian country after touching a minor under the age of fifteen in a sexual manner.


March 17, 2011 - Acting U.S. Marshal Martin J. Pane announced that the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) arrested Anthony McClinton and his brother Alonzo McClinton in Nanticoke.  Anthony McClinton was being sought by the New York City Police Department’s Violent Felony Squad in the Bronx for a shooting that occurred on March 13, 2011.  The victim was shot in the upper torso.  Anthony McClinton was also wanted for a robbery that occurred in December 2010 in Nanticoke.  Alonzo McClinton was being sought by the New York state parole authorities on a parole violation warrant dated July 19, 2010.  He had been convicted on drug charges, served a New York state prison sentence, and then released on state parole supervision.  Alonzo McClinton, like his brother, was also wanted for his role in the December 2010 robbery in Nanticoke.


March 17, 2011 - Two N.Y. properties that belonged to convicted fraudster Hassan Nemazee have been listed for sale by a U.S. Marshals contractor. One of the properties, a New York City duplex, is listed at $28 million and is the highest-priced forfeited asset that the U.S. Marshals have ever listed for sale. Nemazee was convicted for a $292 million fraud scheme and is currently serving 12 years in a federal prison.


March 16, 2011 - The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force (FRFTF) apprehended a fugitive yesterday that is wanted by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office for Armed Robbery, Aggravated Battery and for being a Convicted Felon in Possession of a Firearm.  The U.S. Marshals Pensacola Division of the FRFTF caught up with Jay Anthony Middelton while he was fishing behind a friend’s house in south Walton County.


March 16, 2011 - Wanted fugitive Gregory Johnson was added to the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force’s Fugitive of the Week on Monday after allegedly taking the 7 year old son of his girlfriend without permission from her home on Bell Avenue in Elyria. Johnson snatched the child as he was sleeping while his mother was returning home late that evening. Johnson refused to return the child to his mother and eventually left the child unattended in the Greyhound Bus station in Cleveland in the early morning hours after he found out police were searching for him. The child was safely recovered but Johnson was on the run.


March 11, 2011 - Acting U.S. Marshal Martin J. Pane announced today that the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) arrested Tony Ray Ford in Warren Center, Bradford County, Pennsylvania.  Ford had been sought by West Virginia authorities for an incident in November 2009.  It is alleged Ford engaged in the sexual abuse of a four-year old female.  The West Virginia State Police conducted the investigation.


March 11, 2011 - U.S. Marshal Cathy Jones of the Southern District of Ohio and Chief John Sedlak of the Miamisburg Police Department announce the arrest of Ronald Preston of Ontario County, New York. Preston was wanted by the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office for his alleged involvement in the rape of a former neighbor that occurred in Canandaigua, New York on February 23, 2011. 


March 11, 2011 - Deputy U.S. Marshal John Brookman Perry, 48, died in the line-of-duty Tuesday, March 8, 2011, from gunshot wounds received while serving an arrest warrant on a residence in St. Louis, Mo. Deputy Perry was born in Glen Ellyn, Ill., a suburb of Chicago. As the son of a bankruptcy court judge and grandson of a district court judge in Chicago, Deputy Perry literally grew up in the federal courts and as a young child often associated with the Deputy U.S. Marshals assigned to protecting the judiciary.


March 10, 2011 - Peter J. Elliott, U.S. Marshal for the Northern District of Ohio, is pleased to announce the arrest of fugitive Christopher Williams. The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force had been looking for Williams since January 2010 when he was indicted by a federal grand jury on a charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm. In May 2010, Williams was featured as one of the Task Forces original “Dangerous Dozen” and had also been named as one of the most wanted fugitives in Warren during last summer’s V-GRIP Operation.


March 10, 2011 - Members of the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force – Richland County Division and Officers from the Mansfield Police Department arrested Shawn Kouns in an apartment on South Home Road in Mansfield. Yesterday morning, members of the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force – Richland County Division and Officers from the Marion Police Department arrested Shawn Stansberry at a residence in Marion, Ohio.


March 09, 2011 - On February 25, the U.S. Marshals Service concluded a month long operation in upstate South Carolina targeting sex offenders.  Operation Shadow was a U.S. Marshals sponsored fugitive initiative to apprehend fugitives wanted for Sexually Based Offenses.  Operation Shadow utilized the expertise of the U.S. Marshals specially trained Sex Offender Investigators who aided state and local agencies in locating and apprehending these wanted individuals.


March 08, 2011 - Deputy U.S. Marshal John Perry died at 7 p.m. CST at Saint Louis University Hospital, St. Louis, Mo., from gunshot wounds received earlier today. Perry, 48, had been with the U.S. Marshals for almost 10 years. Perry, along with other Deputy U.S. Marshals and task force officers from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, was attempting to apprehend Carlos Boles, who was wanted on a state warrant for felony assault on a police officer and possession of a controlled substance.  Obituary


March 08, 2011 - Child Predator Anthony Lovato was arrested in downtown Albuquerque. Albuquerque Police Department Violent Crimes Unit working with investigators from the United States Marshals Service South West Investigative Fugitive Team (SWIFT) arrested Lovato for a felony warrant charging Lovato with criminal sexual contact of a minor under 13 years old (two counts).


March 08, 2011 - A fugitive wanted in Savannah, Georgia was arrested by the United States Marshals Service Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force. Gary Michael Johnson was wanted by the Savannah Chatham Metro Police Department on various charges including Aggravated Assault, Armed Robbery, Theft by Receiving Stolen Property, Carrying a concealed weapon, Possession of a Controlled Substance, False Name and Escape.


March 07, 2011 - Jonathan Chavez, one of New Mexico’s Most Wanted sex offenders, was arrested last night (March 6, 2011) at a Motel 6 in Santa Fe, NM.  On March 4, 2010, a tip came in that another fugitive, Jeremy Martinez, was residing at the Motel 6. Santa Fe Police Department Detectives and U.S. Marshal South West Investigative Fugitive Team (SWIFT) task force officers responded to the tip and located Chavez.


March 6, 2011 - United States Marshal Genny May announced that on March 6, 2011, for the second consecutive year , elementary and middle school students from the United States Marshals’ Gang Resistance Education and Training (GREAT) and Badges for Baseball Programs in New Orleans were proudly featured in the 2011 Bacchus Mardi Gras Parade. Twenty outstanding students were selected to participate based on their accomplishments achieved during the GREAT lessons taught at Arthur Ashe Charter School and Emily C. Watkins Elementary School and the District’s Badges for Baseball Camp. These students’ best exemplify the lessons taught to them by the DUSMs during the facilitation of the programs, which included leadership, conflict resolution, anger management, teamwork, sportsmanship, and respect. They rode on a float graciously provided to the schools by Blaine Kern Studios and were giving an opportunity that they may never get the chance to experience again. Prior to their ride on the float, the DUSMs hosted a reception for the students and chaperones at the beginning of the Bacchus parade route.


March 04, 2011 - 15 Most Wanted Addition - The U.S. Marshals have added a Texas daycare provider to their 15 Most Wanted fugitive list. Jessica Renee Tata is wanted on four counts of manslaughter, six counts of reckless injury to a child, three counts of abandoning a child under 15 and unlawful flight to avoid prosecution. On Feb. 24, Tata who owned and operated Jackie’s Day Care in Houston allegedly left the premises leaving seven children alone in the house with a pot of oil on a burning stove.


March 04, 2011 - United States Marshal Genny May announced that on Thursday, March 3rd and Friday March 4th, 2011 Deputy United States Marshals (DUSMs) and Task Force Officers (TFOs) from the Eastern District of Louisiana in New Orleans teamed up with the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation to host a Badges for Baseball camp for over 200 local middle school students from four schools.


March 04, 2011 - Peter J. Elliott, U.S. Marshal for the Northern District of Ohio, along with Wood County Prosecutor Paul Dobson and Wood County Sheriff Mark Wasylyshyn are pleased to announce the arrest of fugitive Fatjon Kazazi. Kazazi, a native of Albania, was arrested by the Toronto Police Fugitive Squad on February 25, 2011 as he was leaving a residence in Toronto. Kazazi had been wanted by Wood County authorities since 2003 for failing to appear to serve an 8 year sentence for possession of marijuana.


March 04, 2011 - The United States Marshals Service, District of New Mexico, will accept applications for student intern positions for the fall 2011 semester from March 1st to April 15th, 2011. The internship program provides students interested in federal law enforcement an opportunity to obtain educational work experience and an understanding of the role of the U.S. Marshals Service in the justice system.


March 03, 2011 - More than 300 lots of diamonds, watches and fine jewelry belonging to convicted embezzler Sujata “Sue” Sachdeva will be sold during a live and online simulcast auction in Milwaukee on March 19, 2011, by the U.S. Marshals Service Asset Forfeiture Division and the Eastern District of Wisconsin. The property was seized and forfeited in connection with the criminal prosecution of Sachdeva, who was convicted of embezzling $34 million from the Milwaukee-based company, Koss Corp.


March 03, 2011 - Kevin A. Carr, United States Marshal for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, announced the arrest of fugitive Donald Franklin Jr.. Investigations in the Southern District of Indiana and in the Northern District of Georgia placed Franklin at his grandmother’s residence in Milwaukee. Surveillance by the Fugitive Task Force confirmed Franklin’s presence today at the residence. As a result, investigators made entry and took him into custody. Franklin was wanted out of Fulton County, Gerogia on 16 counts of 1st Degree Attempted Homicide, 1st Degree Cruelty to Children, Aggravated Assault and Aggravated Battery. The charges stem from an incident in which Franklin allegedly beat a young child. The victim of the alleged offense is Franklin’s 3 year old daughter, who is still in a hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. Franklin is currently housed in the Milwaukee County jail awaiting extradition to Georgia.


March 02, 2011 - U.S. Marshals Southwest Investigative Fugitive Team (SWIFT) task force members arrested convicted felon and fugitive Michael Rupert Zamora, also known as “Oso”, for parole violations. Zamora is a high ranking member and enforcer for the Syndicato Nuevo Mexico (SNM) prison gang, as well as a member of the Barelas neighborhood street gang. Zamora is on parole and has convictions for Robbery, Residential Burglary, Possession of a Deadly Weapon by a Prisoner, Aggravated Battery Resulting in Great Bodily Harm or Death, Forgery, and Theft of Credit Cards.


March 02, 2011 - The Albuquerque office of the United States Marshals Service hosted students from local high schools in conjunction with the Junior Achievement Worldwide. Junior Achievement Worldwide is the world’s largest organization dedicated to educating students about work readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy through experiential, hands-on programs.


March 02, 2011 - The U.S. Marshals Service led Fugitive Task Force, with the assistance of the Lyon County Sheriff's Office, arrested Warren Frank Tuer in Yerington, Nevada. Tuer is wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant from Allegan, Michigan alleging 4 counts of criminal sexual conduct with a person under the age of 13. The investigation to locate Warren Tuer led Deputy U.S. Marshals to Yerington, Nevada. The subject was apprehended without incident and booked into the Lyon County jail.


March 02, 2011 - Members of the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force – Richland County Division and Officers from the Mansfield Police Department arrested David Murray at a residence in Mansfield. Murray was wanted by the Richland County Sheriff’s Office after he failed to appear for sentencing on an escape case in Richland County Common Pleas Court on May 6, 2002. Murray was also wanted on misdemeanor charges by the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office and Mansfield Police Department since August 2002.


March 01, 2011 -  Buddy and Sharon Anderson, a couple wanted on state charges stemming out of Texas, were arrested Tuesday afternoon by members of the U.S. Marshals led fugitive task force Nevada FIST (Fugitive Investigative Strike Team) and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. Buddy and Sharon Anderson were being sought on warrants issued by the Ennis (TX) Police Department on charges of possession of child pornography.


March 01, 2011 - The United States Marshals Service in Albuquerque has added a new sex offender to its New Mexico’s Most Wanted list.  Raymond Vigil was convicted on May 29, 2002, in the State of New Mexico for 2 counts of Criminal Sexual Contact of a Minor, after he sexually assaulted two 9 and 12 year old girls.  Vigil is a Federal Tier III and New Mexico Tier II sex offender, required to register every 90 days for the rest of his life.  Vigil has been out of compliance with his sex offender registry since December 1, 2009. A warrant was issued for Vigil on December 7, 2009, by Sandoval County Sheriff’s Office for Failure to Register and Failure to Appear on previous Failure to Register charges.


February 28, 2011 - The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested a man suspected of robbing a local supermarket liquor store at gunpoint at a motel located in Pensacola this afternoon. Clifford J. Faust, 50, is thought to be the gunman in a video using what is believed to be a handgun robbing the Publix store located on Mobile Highway in Pensacola.


February 28, 2011 - Wanted fugitive Roberto Rivera-Amezquita was arrested early this morning on Cleveland’s west side. Rivera-Amezquita had been on the run and eluding law enforcement since December 2007. Rivera-Amezquita was wanted out of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico on charges of murder and weapons law violations.


February 28, 2011 - Long sought after fugitive Gary Wilson was arrested in Oklahoma on Friday, February 25, 2011, by local authorities. Wilson was arrested at a residence located in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, which is located in Cherokee County, Oklahoma. Members of the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office and the Eastern Oklahoma U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force arrested Wilson. Wilson was wanted on rape charges stemming from an investigation conducted by the Arkansas State Police.


February 25, 2011 - From February 22-24, the U.S. Marshals Service Southwest Investigative Fugitive Team (SWIFT) task force conducted operation “COPPER DUCK” in the Silver City and Deming areas. The Southern New Mexico operation was a success with 97 arrests. Combined the agencies cleared 134 warrants and confiscated various amounts of narcotics. In addition to the arrests, the teams were able to complete 62 sex offender address verifications.


February 25, 2011 - Jeffrey Merculief, one of New Mexico’s Most Wanted Sex Offenders, was arrested at 5517 Lomas Blvd. NE Albuquerque, NM. Merculief was at Labor Ready waiting for a job when he was overheard telling a crowd of people how he was a fugitive on the run and hadn’t registered as a sex offender. The concerned citizen that overheard Merculief immediately called the Albuquerque Police Department.


February 25, 2011 - The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force in Pensacola had a busy week capturing fugitives in several different counties in the local area including Baldwin County in AL. This morning, the Task Force assisted the Escambia County Gang Unit and a K9 Officer to apprehend two men wanted by Escambia County in a Pensacola motel.  Darius Louis Hunter, 23, is wanted for Armed Robbery and Deangelo Deon Bender, 21, wanted for Violation of Probation and Failure to Appear on Cocaine charges. Yesterday the FRFTF teamed up with the Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force from Mobile to arrest 39 year old Dennis Ray Burkhart in the parking lot of the Bass Pro Shop in Spanish Fort, AL. Burkhart is wanted in Escambia County, FL for Failing to Register as a Sex Offender and by the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office for Dangerous Drugs and Probation Violation. Also arrested by the FRFTF yesterday was Daniel Lamar Sanders, 27, wanted in Okaloosa County for Cruelty Toward a Child/Abuse Causing Great Bodily Harm when he allegedly burned a small child with cigarette and held it to the child’s skin. Sanders was captured by the Task Force after trying to flee out of a window at home on the 7800 block of Red Barrow road in the Blackmon Community in north Okaloosa County.


February 24, 2011 - As part of Operation Fallen Hero-Operation Bombardier, Houston area Federal, State, and local law enforcement officials have joined forces in a series of coordinated strikes against Mexican drug cartels and their associates who operate across the United States.  Operations in Central America, Colombia, and Brazil are also ongoing. Law enforcement counterparts have mobilized to increase pressure on these organizations at every level. This series of operations illustrate the continued resolve and commitment to attack these brutal Mexican cartels and trafficking associates with a unified front.  These efforts have proven successful as illustrated by seizures today in the Houston area of approximately $750,000 in U.S. Currency, 322 pounds of marijuana, 13 kilograms of cocaine, 37 weapons, 10 vehicles, and the arrest of 33 individuals.


February 24, 2011 - Kevin A. Carr, United States Marshal for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, announced the arrest of Roland Flath.  Flath, a retired US National living abroad, was arrested by authorities in Gulan, Guatemala. The US Marshals, the US Department of State, and the Department of Homeland Security worked closely with Belizean and Guatemalan Immigration agents over the past several months.  Flath was expelled by Guatemalan Immigration Officials, and arrested by Deputy US Marshals once he arrived in Houston, Texas.


February 23, 2011 - On February 22, 2011, two teenage murder suspects from El Paso, Texas were arrested by the United States Marshals Service, South West Investigative Fugitive Team (SWIFT) in Las Cruces, NM. The suspects Hugo Gonzalez (17) and Brian Johnson (18) are accused of stabbing a 15 year old boy to death 3 weeks ago while robbing him of a cell phone and an iPod in El Paso, Texas.


February 23, 2011 - The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested a Pensacola man yesterday after they found him hiding in the trunk of a car. Henry Dewayne Watson was wanted by the U.S. Marshals in Pensacola on a federal warrant for Failure to Appear on a Convicted Felon in Possession of a Firearm charge. Watson also has a Santa Rosa County warrant for Aggravated Stalking.


February 22, 2011 - United States Marshals Service in New Mexico is taking one of the New Mexico’s Most Wanted off the list today and adding a new fugitive. Martin Duran, a Roswell “CRAZY TOWN” gang member, was located in custody at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Bernalillo County where he is awaiting trial. Once Duran faces his charges from the state he will be transferred to United States Marshals Service custody.


February 18, 2011 -  After eight long years on the run two men wanted on charges of Sexual Assault on a Physically Helpless Victim will finally face justice in a Leon County courtroom. The case began back in August 2001 when the Tallahassee Police Department (TPD) received a call from the Tallahassee Memorial Hospital Emergency Room in regards to a Sexual Battery.


February 17, 2011 - U.S. Marshals and Derby Police Department found a way to catch Patrick Stewart in Missouri before he could strike again. Stewart was wanted by the Derby Police Department for a violent sexual attack and kidnapping which occurred earlier this month. Stewart allegedly beat, tied up and sexually assaulted two women after a super-bowl party.


February 17, 2011 - Wanted fugitive Derek Woods was arrested Monday morning, February 14th, on Cleveland’s east side. Instead of a dozen roses for Valentine’s Day, fugitive Derek Woods received a dozen federal agents knocking at his door earlier that morning. Woods, who was at the top of the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force’s Dangerous Dozen wanted list, was finally apprehended after alluding police for the past four years.


February 17, 2011 - Andre Colvin was wanted by the Akron Police Department in the October 2007 shooting death of Anthony Jackson. The Akron Police Department, through the course of their investigation, identified Colvin as a suspect for the homicide, and charged him with murder. In November of 2007, the Akron Police Department referred the case to the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) for assistance with locating and apprehending Colvin.


February 16, 2011 - The U.S. Marshals Service in New Mexico adds two sexual offenders to the Marshals Service, New Mexico Most Wanted List. The Marshals Service have set its sights on the two fugitives and will work with its law enforcement partners, local, county, state and federal to locate and apprehend these fugitives. Jeffrey Merculief is wanted in the state of New Mexico for failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements. Aaron Garcia-Treviso is wanted out of Farmington, New Mexico for Sexual Assault.


February 16, 2011 - Cathy Jones, United States Marshal for the Southern District of Ohio, today announced the arrest of Michael Y. Miller by the Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST) in Columbus, Ohio. Miller is charged with murder in Columbus, Georgia. The charges stem from the April 12, 1999 murder of Shawnita Campbell whose body was found with a gunshot wound to the head on a dirt road in Columbus, Georgia.


February 16, 2011 - U.S. Marshals announce the capture of Jonique Diguel Merriweather, who was wanted in connection with a homicide that occurred earlier in the week. According to investigators with the Jackson Police Department the victim, Michael Bates, was killed on Sunday when he sustained a single gunshot wound while driving his car on a local Jackson street. An Arrest Warrant was issued on February 14, 2011 charging Merriweather with First Degree Murder in connection with the shooting.


February 16, 2011 - Randy P. Ely, United States Marshal for the Northern District of Texas, announced today that the United States Marshals sponsored multi-agency fugitive task force, known as the Dallas Fort-Worth Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (DFW FAST), surpassed its 10,000th arrest. The strike team, which focuses on arresting violent offenders, officially began operations January 1st of 2004.


February 15, 2011 - The United States Marshals Service in Albuquerque, New Mexico auctioned off over 20 seized vehicles. The vehicles were seized by local and federal agencies and the proceeds will help support law enforcement activities in the Albuquerque area. Over 200 private citizens registered for the auction and a total of $114,825.00 was raised.


February 14, 2011 - U.S. Marshals led Operation Intercept Fugitive Task Force, Marion County Sheriff’s Office, and Mullins Police Department officers arrested Barbara Edwards AKA: Barbara Longwell and Leonard Hamrick in Mullins, SC.  Edwards and Hamrick are wanted on Fugitive Warrants from the Nicholas County Sheriff’s Office in Summersville, WV for Child Concealment Charges stemming from a missing child case on December 21st, 2009.


February 11, 2011 - Members of the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force – Richland County Division arrested Anthony Primm at a motel in Wooster, Ohio. Primm was wanted by the Ashland County Sheriff’s Office on a bench warrant for violating the terms of his bond after he did not show up for sentencing on January 07, 2011 in Ashland County Common Pleas Court. Primm had previously pled guilty to illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for manufacture of drugs, a felony of the third degree.


February 11, 2011 - Cuba Police arrested one of New Mexico’s Most Wanted Sex Offenders Delvin Yazzie. Yazzie was convicted on November 16, 1996, for Rape in the 1st Degree after he went to a gas station in Oregon and forced the female clerk into the back bathroom and raped her. Yazzie was sentenced and served a total of 100 months before moving to New Mexico.


February 11, 2011 - Convicted sex offender George Shoogukuwrkk, was arrested by New Mexico State Police, in Gallup, NM based on information provided by the United States Marshal Service South West Investigative Fugitive Team (SWIFT) Task Force.


February 11, 2011 - Gerald Johnson was arrested by members of the U.S. Marshal Service, South West Investigative Fugitive Team (SWIFT) task force.  Johnson was arrested on charges of Criminal Sexual Penetration of a Minor (1st degree), Criminal Sexual Contact of a Minor (2nd degree), Kidnapping and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor.  Johnson was arrested in downtown Albuquerque at 8:45am this morning when Deputy Marshals after extensive surveillance of the suspect was seen entering a vehicle driven by his girlfriend.  A short time later the vehicle was stopped and Gerald Johnson was taken into custody.  The charges have a $200,000 cash or surety bond attached to them.


February 10, 2011 - The United States Marshals Service (USMS) led Fugitive Task Force arrested Anthony Gililland this afternoon at the Baymont Inn and Suites located in Reno, Nevada. Gilillland is wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant from Yuba County, CA. He was the last subject wanted in connection of a January home invasion armed robbery.


February 10, 2011 - Acting U.S. Marshal Martin J. Pane announced today that U.S. Marshals in Williamsport have successfully brought closure to the oldest escape case in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Mitlean Wright, a fugitive who was on the run for almost four decades, had been sought for escaping from the State Correctional Institution at Muncy on the evening of August 12, 1972.

February 09, 2011 - Senior United States District Judge John E. Conway sentenced Albuquerque resident Gilbert J. Turrieta, 45, to a 100-month term of imprisonment to be followed by three-years supervised release based on his conviction for assaulting a Deputy United States Marshal.


February 09, 2011 - United States Marshal Cathy J. Jones announces the 100th homicide arrest since the inception of the Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST) in May of 2006.  SOFAST arrested 33 year-old Anton Denson of Cincinnati, Ohio. Denson is accused in the shooting death of Devon Heard during a home invasion robbery on December 14 of 2010.


February 08, 2011 - United States Marshal Cathy J. Jones announces the arrest of Michael Hesson.  In the evening hours of February 08, 2011, the Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST) arrested 25 year-old Michael Hesson in Hamilton, Ohio.  Hesson is accused of stomping the head of John Johnson, an elderly homeless man, in early January of 2010.  Hesson has been evading authorities ever since the assault.


February 08, 2011 - Early this morning, Deputy U.S. Marshals and Task Force Officers in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania captured Harry Hayman, 42, at a residence in Philadelphia.  Hayman was wanted by the Glendale Police Department for numerous charges including three (3) counts of Sexual Abuse, Six (6) counts of Indecent Exposure, three (3) counts of Public Sexual Indecency, and eight (8) counts of Assault. 


February 07, 201115 Most Wanted Addition - The U.S. Marshals have added a 25-year-old gang member wanted on a number of violent criminal charges to their 15 Most Wanted fugitive list. In August 2007, a fistfight broke out between rival gangs “Squad Up” and “Wood” in front of a bar on the Las Vegas Strip. A Squad Up gang member, identified as Robert Jackson, allegedly fired five rounds from a 9 mm handgun at Wood gang members. The gunfire missed the rival gang members and instead struck four innocent tourists.


February 04, 201115 Most Wanted Addition - The U.S. Marshals have added California fugitive Sean Michael Sullivan to their 15 Most Wanted fugitive list. During an altercation in November 2010 over an outstanding debt, Sullivan allegedly brandished a firearm and shot two individuals multiple times, fatally wounding one man and paralyzing the other from the waist down.


February 04, 2011 - The University of New Mexico has been participating in the internship program with the Marshals Service in Albuquerque for over 6 years and more than 20 students. Starting in the fall semester of 2011 the Las Cruces office of the United States Marshals Service will provide internship opportunities for students at the New Mexico State University. The internship program provides students interested in federal law enforcement an opportunity to obtain educational work experience and an understanding of the role of the U.S. Marshals Service in the justice system. Program areas include: Investigative & Fugitive Operations, Court Security, Judicial Security, Prisoner Operations, Administrative Services, and Agency Management.


February 03, 2011 - 15 Most Wanted Capture - Paul Merle Eischeid, one of the U.S. Marshals 15 Most Wanted Fugitives, was captured today in Buenos Aires by Argentinean authorities. Investigations by the U.S. Marshals Service and Diplomatic Security Service in Argentina developed specific information with regard to his possible location, at which time authorities contacted Interpol and local Argentinean authorities in an effort to locate and arrest Eischeid. Eischeid was sought in connection with the brutal murder of a Phoenix area woman.


February 02, 2011 - Super Bowl brings together the best teams in football, and the United States Marshals Service (USMS) and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) has brought its best K-9 teams to North Texas. Deputy United States Marshal Todd Kozuszko and K-9 Hope, one of 25 K9 teams, are there to provide security for Super Bowl XLV on Feb. 6.


February 02, 2011 - After 22 years on the run, Adam Zachs was apprehended by Mexican authorities Tuesday in Leon Guanajuato, Mexico. The arrest is the culmination of an exhaustive investigation by the U.S. Marshals Service, West Hartford Police Department and the FBI.  “The U.S. Marshals has a long, successful history of bringing fugitives to justice. The arrest of Adam Zachs is a testament to our continued dedication to our fugitive mission,” said U.S. Marshal Joseph P. Faughnan. “In 1896, Judge Isaac Parker said it best, ‘permit no innocent man to be punished, but let no guilty man escape.’”

February 01, 2011 - The United States Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force announced the arrest today of Gary John Butler, 27, of Riviera Beach, Florida for the offense of 1st Degree Murder with a Firearm. Butler was currently being sought by the Riviera Beach Police Department after law enforcement officers developed probable cause that Butler shot and killed a female during an altercation at a house party last month.


January 31, 2011 - On Friday, January 28th, the Midland Crime Stoppers hosted its annual award luncheon at the Petroleum Club for local law enforcement officers who have made significant contributions toward the safety of the community. Officers receiving awards this year represent the Midland Police Department, Midland Sheriff’s Office, Midland Fire Department, Texas Department of Public Safety, and the U.S. Marshals Service.


January 27, 2011 - Deputy U.S. Marshals assigned to the “Cold Case Squad” in Miami have tracked down another Federal fugitive who has been on the run for the past 31 years. 62-year old Mark Steven Phillips was arrested today at an apartment complex in West Palm Beach after Deputy Marshals developed information he had recently rented an apartment in a 55 and older senior living community.


January 27, 2011 - Cathy J. Jones, U. S. Marshal for the Southern District of Ohio, announced today that John Fitzgerald Cannada has been arrested in Lexington, KY. The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office issued an arrest warrant for Cannada, charging him with Failure to Register as a Sex Offender on 03/15/2007, stemming from a 1997 conviction for Gross Sexual Imposition of a Minor.


January 25, 2011 - The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force from Pensacola arrested a Niceville man in the early morning hours today after he escaped from authorities Monday evening. Bryant Gafford, 19, was in custody at about 5:30 p.m. last night at the Niceville Police Department after being arrested for Trafficking in Oxycodone and Possession of a Controlled Substance.


January 25, 2011 - Members of the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force - Toledo Division arrested Jon Jefferson, age 34, at a family member’s home in Toledo, Ohio. Jefferson was wanted by the Richland County Sheriff’s Office on indictment for trafficking in drugs, by the Ohio State Highway Patrol for flight to avoid prosecution, and the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office for dangerous drugs.


January 25, 2011 - Cathy Jones, United States Marshal for the Southern District of Ohio, announced today information about the success of the Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST) in making the streets of southern Ohio safer for everyone. From January 3rd through January 21st of this year, the SOFAST units in all three core cities have arrested a multitude of violent offenders who have been preying on the public.


January 21, 2011 - Law enforcement agencies in Otero County, Lincoln County and on the Mescalero Indian Reservation concluded a large scale warrant round up today.  The weeklong roundup resulted in 93 arrests and cleared 127 local, state and federal warrants.  “This collaborative law enforcement effort is another example of success when law enforcement joins forces to make all of our New Mexico communities a safer place,” said U.S. Marshal for the District of New Mexico Conrad Candelaria.


January 20, 2011 - Acting U.S. Marshal Martin J. Pane announced today that the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) arrested fugitive Joseph P. Donahue in Las Cruces, New Mexico. On January 5, 2011, the U.S. District Court in Scranton issued an arrest warrant for Donahue, of Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania, after he failed to report the previous day to the Federal Correctional Institution at Ft. Dix, New Jersey, to begin serving his 121-month federal prison sentence.


January 20, 2011 - John Hamilton, one of the most wanted child sex offenders in the country and abroad, is back on U.S. soil to face the sentencing he fled the country to avoid in 2009. Deputy U.S. Marshals and a representative from the Fairfax County (Va.) Police Department escorted Hamilton from Poland to the United States today. Upon arrival in Virginia, the U.S. Marshals handed Hamilton over to the Fairfax County Police Department.


January 19, 2011 - The United States Marshals Service District of New Mexico has implemented a new initiative to capture some of the most wanted fugitives in the state of New Mexico. The New Mexico’s Most Wanted program targets offenders at the local, state and federal levels in three distinct categories in which offenders are classified, Sexual offenders, Gang Offenders, and Violent offenders.


January 19, 2011 - The U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) Akron Division arrested their second “Dangerous Dozen” homicide suspect in less than two weeks. Daniel Lanier Travis, age 27, was wanted by the Akron Police Department in the April 2010 shooting death of J’Suan E. Slayton, age 32, of Lawton St. in Akron.


January 18, 2011 - The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested a Pensacola man this afternoon who reportedly is the lone suspect in a home invasion robbery that took place in Escambia County last August. Jarvis Lamar Jesse, 25, is said to have broke into the front door of a house in the southwest end of the county.


January 16, 2011 - Yesterday afternoon U.S. Marshals from Houston with assistance from Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office patrol arrested twenty-three year old Napoleon Lopez in Conroe, Texas.  Lopez was Wanted by the Lafayette Police Department for Aggravated Rape.  In December, Lopez allegedly raped a fifteen year old girl.


January 14, 2011 - U.S. District Judge Jane J. Boyle sentenced Keith David Hall, 54, to 25 months in federal prison for failing to register as a sex offender, announced U.S. Attorney James T. Jacks of the Northern District of Texas.  Hall, who most recently resided in Kaufmann County, Texas, has been in federal custody since his arrest this past summer in Dallas.


January 13, 2011 - The Violence and Gun Reduction and Interdiction Program (V-GRIP) that brought together federal, state and local officers to combat violence over the summer has yielded another arrest. Jimmy Stella of Warren had been stopped by an Ohio State Patrol Trooper during Operation V-GRIP and was found to be in possession of suspected crack cocaine. The suspected drugs were submitted to the lab for testing, and when the lab results confirmed the presence of cocaine a warrant was issued for Stella’s arrest.


January 12, 2011 -  The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force apprehended a fugitive from Massachusetts who reportedly sexually assaulted and battered two girls, one over the age of 14 and the other girl under 14 years old. Matthew Robert Brennan, 24, originally from Chicopee, MA was nabbed by the Task Force early this afternoon.


January 11, 2011 - Deputy U.S. Marshals in Miami have tracked down a federal fugitive who escaped from custody 30 years ago and was living in a small rural town in Central Florida. 71-year old Ian Jackson MacDonald was arrested at a house in Homosassa, Florida this afternoon by the U.S. Marshals assigned to the Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force in Gainesville.


January 11, 2011 - A fugitive wanted by the New York Police Department was arrested by the United States Marshals Service Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, and the Savannah Chatham Metropolitan Police Department (SCMPD) K-9. Gregory Brooks, 29, was wanted by the New York Police Department for the offenses of aggravated assault and bail jumping for an incident that occurred in April of 2010.


January 07, 2011 - Tyrone Haynes was arrested by U.S. Marshals and the Florence County Sheriff’s Office, after almost a year on the run. Haynes is charged by the Commonwealth of Philadelphia with 10 different allegations, which include rape, burglary, sexual assault, and false imprisonment. The charges arise from a January 2010 incident where Haynes allegedly broke into an apartment off of Jackson Street in Philadelphia, then beat and raped the occupant, leaving her in critical condition for several days.


January 06, 2011 - The New Year was no vacation for the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF). Elohim El-Jones, age 25, was wanted by the Akron Police Department in the August 2009 shooting death of Michael L. Kirksey, age 31, of Spaulding St. in Akron.


January 06, 2011 - A fugitive wanted by three local agencies was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, and the Savannah Chatham Metropolitan Police Department (SCMPD) K-9. Deontray Rashard “Rocky” Bryant was wanted for the offense of kidnapping. Bryant was also wanted by the Garden City Police Department on multiple warrants for Aggravated Assault with a gun, Possession of a Firearm by a convicted felon, Possession of a Firearm during the commission of a crime and Criminal Trespass.


January 06, 2011 - On December 25, 2010 Albuquerque police arrested Gilbert Lovato during a trafiic stop in Albuquerque for Driving While Intoxicated. Albuquerque Police also charged Lovato with child abuse because at the time of arrest there was a minor in the vehicle.


January 05, 2011 - The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested an escapee today from Chicago, who reportedly arrived in Pensacola on New Year’s Eve. Fred Hoye, 40, who was originally arrested under the alias “Theodore Usher” was out on bail in Cook County, IL on drug charges and placed on GPS monitoring.


January 05, 2011 - Ashley Patterson, 24, and Cortney Leach, 22, of Greensboro, North Carolina, were arrested in a collaborative effort amongst North Carolina, South Carolina, and local partnered agencies on Monday and Tuesday, respectively. Both Patterson and Leach are charged by the Greensboro Police Department with attempted murder, robbery with a deadly weapon, and assault with a deadly weapon.


January 04, 2011 - Members of the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force and the Cleveland Police Department arrested Jonathan Rodriguez, age 23, after he attempted to flee in a vehicle. Rodriguez was wanted by the Cleveland Police Department for rape and by the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Office for failing to register his change of address and violating his probation. It is alleged that Rodriguez and his father, who is already in custody, brutally raped a female in November of last year.


January 02, 2011 - Members of the United States Marshals Violent Offender Task Force captured Walter Furrh, 51, in Phoenix, AZ. Walter Furrh was wanted by the Tucson Police Department for Robbery. Furrh, whom authorities dubbed the “Manila Bandit”, is alleged to have robbed numerous banks around the Tucson area from July 2010 to December 2010. Furrh was called the “Manila Bandit” because it is alleged that he would present the teller a manila envelope and demand that the money be placed in the envelope during some of the robberies.
