Dr. Adis Marila Vila is the Chief Diversity Officer at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo. As the CDO, Dr. Vila is the strategic leader, diversity advocate and principal adviser to Academy leaders on diversity programs and issues and its primary voice on matters of equity, diversity and inclusion.

A professor of international business and international law and former corporate executive, academic administrator and practicing attorney, Dr. Vila brings broad general management experience in telecommunications, agriculture, government and international business. She is a native of Cuba and fluently speaks English, Spanish, French and Portuguese with a working knowledge of German.

Dr. Vila has taught courses in international business and law and global economy at Rollins College in Winter Park, Fla., and Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pa., two highly selective liberal arts colleges. She has taught at Florida International University's Schools of Business and Public Affairs and Services, in executive Master of Business Administration programs and in MBA and Master of International Business Administration programs on site and online at the University of Miami, DeVry-Keller Graduate School of Business and Nova Southwestern University.

She is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, the National Association of Corporate Directors, Rotary International, the International Women's Forum and a Trustee of the Southern Center for International Studies. She is a White House Fellow, a 21st Century Trust Fellow (England), a U.S.-Japan Leadership Fellow, an Eisenhower Exchange Fellow (United States to Argentina), a Rotary International Graduate Ambassadorial Scholar (Switzerland) and a member of the Rotary Group Study Exchange Team (India).
