Hello, my name is Ken Salazar, and I'm the Secretary of the Interior for the United States. I have a favorite teacher just like many of you. My favorite teacher is Frank White. He was my civics teacher when I was in Junior High, and he taught me how to take on issues that were difficult for me, and to make sure I was using the talents I had gained in life to be able to do whatever I could to try to change the world, to make the world a better place. And so my own life journey, much of it through public service, has been to serve as Attorney General for Colorado, as U. S. Senator, and now as Secretary of the Interior, and much of what I am today, I can say I owe directly to Frank White, who was not only my great civics teacher, but also a great coach.
