The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s pocket-sized guide, Communicating Radiation Risks: Crisis Communications For Emergency Responders, was developed especially for responders and government officials communicating with the public and the media — or advising those who do — during the early critical moments of a radiological emergency. It provides communications techniques and advice based on proven risk and crisis communications strategies as well as radiological scenarios and messages for use in radiological emergencies.
