NatureServe, NPS, and USGS team up for LandScope Chesapeake

Plight of the Bumble Bee
Working with the USDA Forest Service and Canadian biologist Sheila Colla, NatureServe species scientists Dale Schweitzer, Nicole Capuano, and Bruce Young produced an overview report on the diversity, natural history, conservation status, and management of North America’s 46 species of bumble bees. Revised Conservation Status Assessments documents and rank calculator now available!
The Element Ranking Working Group, consisting of staff from NatureServe and member programs, has revised the Conservation Status Assessments factors and methodology documents and the rank calculator tool itself, and encourages all users of natural heritage methodology to download and adopt these revisions.
