Computer use most prevalent in finance industry
Among private-sector industries, workers in the finance, insurance, and real estate industry had the highest rate of computer use (81.4 percent) in September 2001.

The next highest rate (59.2 percent, in services) was more than 20 percentage points lower than the rate in finance, insurance, and real estate. The average rate of computer use for private industries was 51.2 percent.
The computer-use rate was lowest in agriculture (22.6 percent) and construction (21.3 percent).
