Tulip Days on the Magnificent Mile

Chicago's famed shopping district, the Magnificent Mile, announces the coming of spring with its annual Tulip Days. Celebrating spring with hundreds of thousands of blossoming tulips and Chicago-inspired sculptures, Tulip Days offers visitors and Chicagoans a beautiful setting to spend a day shopping at the many storefronts along the Mag Mile. Running from April 1-May 31.

New Wing of the Art Institute Opens

The world-famous Art Institute of Chicago is opening the inspired Modern Wing on May 16. The new Wing will highlight the museum's impressive collection of modern art, spread out through three spacious and light-filled levels. Admission is free throughout the entire Art Institute during the Wing's opening week May 16-May 22.

The Chicago Park District recently celebrated the 82nd opening of Buckingham Fountain. During its winter hiatus, the world-famous fountain went through the first phase of a major restoration project. Come out and see the newly renovated fountain in all its glory.
