Filing a Disability Appeal Online

Beginning March 16, 2012, the Social Security Administration is requiring representatives who request, and are eligible for, direct fee payment, to file the reconsideration or hearing appeal, along with the Disability Report, on medically denied Title II and Title XVI disability or blindness claims, using the Internet Disability Appeal web portal found at www.socialsecurity.gov.

Find out how to file appeals electronically. Watch the webcast, “Filing a Disability Appeal Online”.

There are several benefits to filing disability appeals electronically. Users will receive an instant receipt acknowledging that the agency received their appeals, and manual keying errors are eliminated.  We think you’ll like the convenience of this online service.  In addition, we expect that this requirement will improve our efficiency by allowing us to manage our workloads more effectively.

The webcast was previously posted on March 7, 2012.
