Gift Donations


The National Agricultural Library (NAL) :

  • seeks gifts for its collection of published and unpublished material in all media
  • accepts donations of cash or other valuables to support NAL programs and enhance the collection
  • accepts selected material gifts from individuals, associations, corporations, or other groups
  • accepts gifts with the understanding that NAL assumes sole responsibility for determining, location, retention, and other considerations relating to use and disposition.

Surplus Publications

NAL does not coordinate or manage a surplus acquisition and distribution program for books and journals not needed in the NAL collection. NAL's former surplus program was de-emphasized in 1998 and, as a result, neither monographs nor journals are solicited or managed by NAL for distribution to other organizations. Libraries wishing to receive, list or exchange surplus may consult the Web site Back Issues and Exchange Services.
