AGRIS Database

What is the AGRIS Database?

The International Information System for the Agricultural Science and Technology (AGRIS) Database is a cooperative system for collecting and disseminating information on the world's agricultural literature in which over 100 national and multinational centers take part. References to citation for U.S. publications given coverage in the AGRICOLA Database are not included in AGRIS. A large number of citations in AGRIS are not found in any other database. Reference to non-conventional literature; i.e., documents not commercially available, contain a note where a copy may be obtained.

Who Should Access the AGRIS Database and Why?

Anyone needing access to information pertaining to agriculture should use AGRIS to find citations to agricultural information from around the world. Much of this information includes government documents, technical reports and non-conventional literature that have their source in both developed and developing countries and that can be found nowhere else.

Where Can I Access the AGRIS Database?

The Database is available through DIALOG who has a lease agreement with NTIS. Please contact the following organizations for more information.

Direct Access

The AGRIS Database can also be leased directly from NTIS. For more information, please contact the NTIS Office of Product Management on (703) 605-6515 or by fax (703) 605-6742.
