4-H members carry the 4-H flag4-H members, volunteers, staff and alumni from across the U.S, its territories and on military installations around the world will celebrate the past, present and future of the nation's largest youth development organization.  The theme for National 4-H Week 2012 is "Join the Revolution of Responsibility!"

There will be several national events during 4-H week. On October 9, twelve 4-H and FFA members and adult mentors will be honored at the White House as community "Champions of Change." The next day, 4-H members and youth across the country will participate in the annual 4-H National Youth Science Day "Ecobot Challenge." The week's celebrations will be capped by the induction of 16 volunteers, staff and donors into the National 4-H Hall of Fame.

4-H reaches over 6 million American youth annually, focusing on research based learning to promote life skills, science and citizenship.  For 110 years, 4-H has connected the innovations of land-grant universities to local youth and families. 4-H National Headquarters at NIFA, USDA provides programmatic leadership for the U.S. 4-H Youth Development program.
