10/25/2010 - HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah -- There is a new Air Force policy for all new and current residents of government housing, privatized housing and dorm residents.

The new policy is in regards to sex offenders and must be read over and signed by all Hill Air Force Base residents.

Lareen Parkinson, Boyer Hill Housing Office manager said Air Force Form 4422 is a disclosure statement and acknowledgement letter that must be signed now stating that the person on the lease and all dependents or roommates are in accordance with regulations in regards to the sex offender guidelines.

"If someone is not able to sign the form, then they must submit a package to the installation commander who will then review it and determine whether or not to approve or disapprove on-base residency," said Parkinson. "He will determine what deems necessary in the interest of good order and discipline or for the health and welfare of the installation population."

Parkinson said since the disclosure could impose residency restrictions, the process must be consistent with federal and state laws and established in coordination with the installation commander, security forces, force support squadron, Staff Judge Advocate and the government housing manager.

"The Air Force just wants to ensure a safe family environment on all installations," said Parkinson.

For more information or to sign the Air Force Form 4422 visit Lareen Parkinson in Bldg. 180, Room 106, or call (801) 777-0735.
