2011 Otto Graham Golf Tournament to be held on Fisher's Island

The USCGA Alumni Association is proud to announce that next year's Otto Graham Athletic Legacy Fund Golf Classic will be held at the prestigious Fisher's Island Golf Club. Renowned for it's sweeping vistas of the Atlantic Ocean and Long Island Sound, the course at Fisher's Island Golf Club offers participants a once-in-a-lifetime experience...all while supporting CGA Athletics!

Eye doctor to advance a cadet's dream

2/c Holly Madden wanted to begin applying to flight school in the spring, but she had a problem. "You need 20/50 uncorrected vision, but mine isn't anywhere close to that," said 2/c Madden. When an corneal specialist and surgeon in her hometown heard of her dilemma he offered to perform her surgery for free, saving her thousands of dollars and years of waiting.

Volleyball - Anderson Named Academic All-American

1/c Jessica Anderson has been named to the ESPN Academic All-America College Division Volleyball third team as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

L44 Project - Board approves contract for sixth boat


At their meeting on November 5th, the Association Board of Directors authorized the signing of the contract option for boat #6 with Morris Yachts. This brings us to the three-quarter point of reaching the shared goal of providing the Academy with eight new coastal sail training vessels.
Meanwhile, Morris Yachts is moving steadily along on the construction of Hull 4401.
