Oct. 9, 2012 – Boston-bound man arrested at LAX for transporting hazardous materials

A body-armor-clad Boston man, who arrived at Los Angeles International Airport on a flight from Japan, was arrested on transporting hazardous materials charges. HSI opened an investigation after U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers found a smoke grenade, hatchet, knives and other weapons in his checked luggage. Full Story

Oct. 9, 2012 – 2 British nationals extradited from the United Kingdom, face terrorism-related charges

Two British men, extradited from the United Kingdom to the United States, face terrorism-related offenses stemming from their involvement in an operation that allegedly provided material support to the Taliban. This investigation is being led by HSI. Full Story
