Salazar to Highlight Energy, Conservation through Colorado

WASHINGTON, DC – On Thursday, September 13, Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar will begin a trip through Colorado during which he will make stops in Boulder and Denver to discuss President Obama’s all-of-the-above energy strategy to expand domestic energy production and the economic impacts of the Administration’s America’s Great Outdoors initiative in Western and rural communities.
On Thursday, September 13, Secretary Salazar will offer remarks at the Center of the American West and Public Lands Foundation Symposium where he’ll discuss Interior’s work to stand up a renewable energy economy and to expand safe and responsible domestic energy production on our nation’s public lands.
On Friday, September 14, Secretary Salazar will join U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Director Dan Ashe and noted conservationist Louis Bacon for a press conference to make a major conservation announcement regarding Colorado’s San Luis Valley.
