Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) is dedicated to providing a healthy and safe
work environment for all employees, guests, users, and contractors who perform work.
Everyone is required to complete training commensurate with the work that is to be
performed, potential hazards that may be encountered, and the locations to be
accessed. Minimum training requirements have been identified for work assignments,
and completion of these requirements is monitored. In addition to training, work
planning and safety reviews are conducted by site experts in support of BNL’s goal
to keep our staff safe and the environment protected.
The following web sites are available to aid in the understanding of what training
and qualifications are needed for the work you will perform. To see the required
training assigned to you and status of completion, go to the BNL training webpage
and “See Your Required Training and Status.”
If you are working at a user facility you can find links to experimental
training requirements at:
http://www.bnl.gov/guv/training/.
Most training can be taken on-line prior to arrival at BNL with a valid guest number.
However, some first-time training requires that you attend classroom training upon your
arrival to the site. Most courses require successful completion of a graded exam. Any
questions about training courses or requirements should be directed to
