U.S. Government Official To Speak to Schoolchildren about Illegal Downloading and Copying
Children to Learn the Value of Respecting Others' Intellectual Property
Washington, D.C. -U. S. Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property Jon Dudas will stress the importance of respecting the music, art and ideas created by others in remarks before an assembly of second through fifth graders at Westwood Elementary School in Bloomington, MN. In his remarks, Dudas will remind students that downloading and copying music, movies and video games without the permission of the artists' or copyright holders' permission is illegal.
