Warmer Wednesday...Showers Thursday...

A cold front approaching the region will push some warmer air into the area for Wednesday and then bring some rain showers on Thursday and again Friday. Tonight, skies will be partly cloudy with the overnight low temperature dropping to 43 degrees.
Wednesday will be partly cloudy and dry ahead of the approaching cold front. The high temperature will make it all the way up to 77 degrees with a warm southerly breeze. The cold front will move in on Thursday which will make for mostly cloudy skies along with rain showers that will bring between a tenth and a quarter inch of rainfall to most areas. The high temperature will drop to 70 degrees. Friday will see the upper low pressure system behind the front settle over the region which will make for mostly cloudy skies along with some scattered showers. The high temperature will drop to 64 degrees with the clouds, showers and cooler air behind the front.
The weekend will start out with partly cloudy skies and dry conditions on Saturday with high pressure moving in over the region. The high temperature will warm slightly to 65 degrees. Sunday will be partly cloudy and a bit warmer as high pressure strengthens over the region. The high temperature will warm to 70 degrees.
Monday will see a strong southwesterly flow develop ahead of another approaching storm system. Skies will be partly cloudy and it will be dry with the high temperature warming to 77 degrees. Tuesday will also be partly cloudy and looks like it should stay dry as the cold front will slow down out to the west. The high temperature will warm again to 80 degrees.
Wednesday will see the cold front move into the region which will bring partly cloudy skies along with some scattered rain showers. The high temperature will drop a bit to 77 degrees. Thursday will be mostly cloudy with some scattered showers as the cold front stalls over the region. The clouds, showers and cooler air behind the front will drop the high temperature a bit to 70 degrees. Friday will be partly cloudy and dry as high pressure moves in behind the departing cold front. The high temperature will warm slightly to 72 degrees.

A quick look back at yesterday's forecast shows that skies were partly cloudy with some valley fog forming late as forecast. The overnight low temperature dropped to 40 degrees which came in four degrees cooler than the forecast low temperature of 44 degrees. Tuesday was mostly sunny as forecast. The high temperature should come in close to the forecast high temperature of 64 degrees.

Tonight: Skies will be partly cloudy and dry with high pressure in control. The overnight low temperature will drop to 43 degrees.

Wednesday: Skies will be partly cloudy and dry ahead of an approaching cold front. The warm air ahead of the front will push the high temperature will warm to 77 degrees.

Thursday: The cold front will move into the region which will make for mostly cloudy skies along with rain showers that will make for a tenth to a quarter inch of rainfall across the region. The high temperature will cool to 70 degrees.

Friday: A low pressure system will move in over the region behind the departing cold front which will make for mostly cloudy skies and some scattered rain showers. The high temperature will cool again to 64 degrees with the clouds, showers and cooler air behind the front.

Saturday: The weekend will start off with partly cloudy skies and dry conditions as high pressure moves in over the region. The high temperature will warm slightly to 65 degrees.

Sunday: The second half of the weekend will also be partly cloudy and dry under high pressure. The high temperature will warm to 70 degrees.

Monday: High pressure will again be in control which will make for partly cloudy skies and dry conditions in a southwesterly flow ahead of an approaching cold front. The high temperature will warm to 77 degrees.

Tuesday: The cold front will slow down to the west which will make for an even warmer day under partly cloudy skies. The high temperature will warm to 80 degrees.

Wednesday: The cold front will move in which will make for partly cloudy skies along with a chance of some scattered rain showers. The high temperature will cool a bit to 77 degrees.

Thursday: The cold front will stall over the region which will make for mostly cloudy skies and some scattered rain showers. The high temperature will drop to 70 degrees with the clouds, showers and cooler air behind the front.

Friday: High pressure will move back in over the region which will make for partly cloudy skies and dry conditions. The high temperature will warm to 72 degrees.

One Final Note: Charleston picked up a scant .03" rainfall on Monday with a cold front passing through. That made for the first measurable rainfall in a week, which is needed with the month already more than a half inch below normal to date.
